Stale rotten food!! Rude owner!! Horrible experience!! Potential food poisioning!! I had ordered samosas, naan and 4 other items. Samosas and 2 other items had green peas in them which had gone bad. When I called the owner, he spoke rudely and was not at all sorry. Horrible experience. Do not order food if you want to risk food poisoning!

I had odered Mango lassi, which had lot of yellow color and was not looking like real Mango lassi. Also all the sabji(curry) had no spices and rice was like some left over. They even did not serve papadum (which was free) The waitress did not come to ask if we wanted any drinks or food. The food was served after one hour. I had a very bad experience overall. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Hair in Thali, Pathetic food. Very rude dutch lady owner selling rotten Indian food. Do not go by name Taj Mahal. It is not authentic Indian restaurant. International debit/credit card doesn't work here. Owner seeks cash probably to save taxes. Horrible experience. I would never recommend this place. One thali costs 57 Euro's Not worth a penny.

Food was amazing!! Waiter was very freindly and helpfull we had a very good experience and definitly wil be going back to eat there more often. I recomend this. Interior is a bit dated but kind of is part of the authentic experience.

Worst Indian restaurant I ever tried. That is far to be called Indian food. Watery, weird taste. Not even the nam could be saved. Don’t order from this restaurant.

The tikka massala tasted watery the substance was also very watery and full of oil. Didn't taste like massala at all. Had to throw it away unfortunately. Garlic nan was also not garlic. Only the chicken madras was a bit tasteful.

I loved the food ambiance n the lady who served was so friendly..... with a cute smile on her face. Absolutely loved de place.

Great place, had a lovely dinner for a very good price. Tomato soup was great, and biryani and kashmiri too! Very kind service too. Portion sizes could be a lot smaller (!) we were happy to take home the leftovers, but the enormous portions do promote waste a little bit.

This evening Uber eats cancelled my order and when I called to enquire about this and possibly reorder. The girl that answered accused me of not paying. My friend took the phone I talked to her politely but she just decided to hang on us. How unprofessional and incompetent as a restaurant.

I think food didn't taste anything. Dish was way too big. Meat was dry and hard. Food tasted like it was from supermarkets microwave oven ready meals. I felt like waitresses were avoiding contact. Very strange experience.

The food was excellent! It was very flavourful and delicious. The service was wonderful. The waiter was so attentive and accommodating. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience at Taj Mahal.

It's a nice Indian restaurant, but lacking in both service and atmosphere, when compared to some other Indian options in Groningen.

food here is expensive (15-20 euros for a main dish) and the curry dishes are pretty bland. service was nice and quick.

Used lastable app to book and pay for fixed menu of soup (2 choice) followed by a variety of (Non) vegetarian mains and bread and desert for €15 per head. Good meal friendly efficient staff in convivial location.

Unbelievably friendly and personal service. Delicious food, in a very relaxed atmosphere. We came here 3 days running! Will definitely come again when we are next in Groningen.

We didnt have much time to eat here, because of our plans, we told them that and they served our food super quick! Waitresses were very attentive and the food tasted good! Totally a recommendation!

Great food and lovely staff. The food was fast and excellent, plus we were given some additional dishes for free (appetizers, vegetarian curry and salad). I would gladly recommend the restaurant to anyone that loves Indian cuisine. Nonetheless, i would advise any customers with international cards ( master card/visa) to bring cash as the restaurant does not accept them.

Food is very average. It’s not as per Indian taste. Moreover, the owner is extremely rude. Ordered pakora and samosa from Deliveroo , called the restaurant to ask the quantity, but the sheer rudeness and the tone of the owner just ruined the entire experience.

This is a review from an Indian. Thuisbezorgd order number F5DCR4 We received stale samosa and 2 stale curries. When I called the restaurant, the owner of the restaurant spoke and he was extremely rude. Rather than asking what the issue is, he started shouting and said “you do whatever you want! “. Beware!!! I don’t think this is an authentic Indian restaurant. I offered the left over for him to test but no vail. I am disappointed with this arrogance from a restaurant owner. The quality of the food is also terrible and not fresh.
