I took a basic course but it was so good and informative that was able to strike normal conversations in Dutch. I completed the two week in person beginners Dutch course and had a wonderful experience. Roos, Kurt and Bob were all excellent instructors. I have been in the Netherlands for 5 years and had a lot of random Dutch words floating in my brain and this course helped me understand the basic structure of Dutch grammar and day to day conversations. Every class on each day was split between a grammar session and conversation session. This format was very helpful, there was a lot of practice by speaking and helped me get over the initial hesitation to speak in Dutch. Highly recommend DCA and their wonderful team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn Dutch language in Amsterdam! I loved the fun atmosphere and empathic teachers Ruta & Roos. The lessons were very interesting & well-organised. The group for A0/A1 level was just 5 people. Each day was divided into 2 parts (grammar & conversational) x 2 hours during 2 weeks.

I've followed a b2+ conversational course online and then also took a couple of private lessons also online to prepare for my staatsexamen programma 2. I was helped a lot. I have learn a lot and am now more confident to speak Dutch. The instructors were very attentive and always willing to help. I passed all 4 parts of the exam and I am very happy with the time I spent attending the classes. Would definitely recommend this place.

Was recommended this school by two of my coworkers who both agreed this was a really good place to start learning Dutch. I have to agree! I took the semi-intensive A0A1 course at the school and you do learn a lot in just one class. I especially like the grammar classes because you learn how to structure your sentences and Dutch starts to make a lot of sense. We had Bob for grammar, which is great because he’s very patient and you just feel comfortable speaking in Dutch in his classes. I missed a few classes in between, but the exercise book itself is very helpful and explains things clearly enough for you to get ahold of the basics. One thing I would say is that if you choose to do a semi-intensive course, it would be good if you already know how to at least pronounce things in Dutch because the classes are pretty fast. And if English is not your strongest suit, then it can get overwhelming so you might want to opt for the slower course instead. All in all, highly recommend (and there’s also a cute dog next door).

The classes are kept very small which means you stay very engaged and have a lot of opportunity to speak and participate.

But by chance, I enrolled in DCA for an intensive course, I REALLY ENJOYED IT! Lots of things just make sense now ( Rémon is serious but he’s a great teacher ),it’s very well designed, the text also interesting. 2 hours grammer plus 2 hours conversation, it’s not boring at all. Time flies super fast there. I’m going to start the next level!!! More importantly, our group is gezellig! I made good friends from the course.

I really enjoyed my intensive course with DCA, learned a ton in 2 weeks and definitely feeling well-prepared to start speaking and studying further from here, it was actually really the best thing I could have done as a first step and don’t think I’d have gotten nearly as far with weekend courses, Rosetta Stone, etc. I’d definitely recommend for expats that are new here and trying to get a foundation in the language. I did two weeks intensive class at Dutch Courses Amsterdam via Zoom. Never thought I could enjoy online lessons, but I did. The course actually exceeded my expectations. It is also worth mentioning that teachers and admin staff did a wonderful job. Lessons were fun, easy to follow and I even got extra support to boost my motivation. It ain't easy when you have to push yourself to study from home, but it is worth the price. I learned so much that I can now text my Dutch friends and order online without having to use google translate. Thank you, I will be coming back!

I really enjoyed learning Dutch (A2-B1 level evening classes) at DCA. I did go to other schools in Amsterdam before joining here and wasn't very satisfied. I loved it here in DCA. It is by far the best schools in Amsterdam to learn Dutch. The teachers are very professional and are trained language teachers (which is not the case in other schools I have attended before). So, the quality of the classes is really high. I have learned a lot in a short period of time. Bart and Regine are wonderful teachers. Bart's teaching is very unique and he will teach you how to remember things easily without memorizing them. He has a very practical approach to it. In a short period of time, I was surprised to see my language level go one bar up. I strongly recommend DCA!

I've passed evening A0-A1 course with Bart and Roderick, everything was great, already signed up for the next level! I really liked the approach - teachers explain the structure of Dutch language, how phrases are built and they don't feed students with meaningless phrases that must be learned by heart. First you understand the structure, then you just choose the words you want and you're ready to start speaking. The courses are intensive, progress requires working with group and doing homework, but it's totally worth it, plus all exercises were developed by Dutch Courses Amsterdam and dialogues are fun to read and translate. I took 2weeks intensive courses(A0A1 & A1A2) and they were really good experiences in my life! I was actually very nervous before starting the course but I liked the cozy and friendly atmosphere right away. Every teacher is very kind! When we ask some questions during the lessons, they explain kindly and teach us practical expressions as well. The experiences here motivated me more so I will keep learning Dutch:) I can recommend DCA with much confidence! :D

I have done three courses with DCA and i am really happy with their system. What i like the most is their study material, its easy to follow and funny as well. I like that we have separate grammar and conversation sessions. Rémon my grammar teacher has a lot of knowledge in language and he explains everything very well. And Sanne our conversation teacher she is so interesting and active and she makes sure that everyone gets better in dutch with each class and boosts our confidence. DCA 👍

An excellent intensive course for beginners. Both Mark and Roos were fantastic teachers who made the whole experience extremely enjoyable while also building our confidence. There was a great balance of grammar and plenty of opportunities to really consolidate them in oral activities. I will definitely be coming back!
