Oh Sake House 2, where do I start???? Well first off, my daughter and I had a craving for sushi so I told her that Sake House 2 would be a good place to grab some( she's visiting from out of town) and since I had recently dined there for lunch I knew it would be a great place for her to experience and boy, was I sadly mistaken. We arrived around 7:15 and quickly placed our order. I already knew what I wanted lol. 7:45 no food!!!! 8:00 no food!!! Now keep in mind it's only the 2 of us and they only have about 6 other tables, so my daughter waived down the server and finally 8:06 our food arrived. My order was not what I wanted or expected so I requested to exchange it. The waiter brought another person out and she stated that my order correct, I said ok well can I please have what I'd like? They then brought out another person that offered me a discount, because he said that he remember serving me before and how nice I am I stated that I didn't want a discount, I just wanted my sushi??? It was only a 6 piece roll $14??? Meanwhile my tab was over $70 because we also added a to go order! The solution I expected was to simply have the correct item I wanted. They told me I'd need to reorder it ( pay full price) There I sit STUCK with sushi that I didn't want and still hungry especially after waited almost 1 hour to be served! I didn't make a scene, although was highly upset. I just paid the check (declined the discount) and I told them that I'd never come back again. The fact they were willing to lose a repeat customer over a $14 entree and get a bad review is mind blowing to me. I am a business owner and I would never treat my customers this way. DO BETTER SAKE HOUSE 2 or NOT

I was in the mood for sushi, so I decided to try Sake House 2. The restaurant was very clean which was a plus for me, so I decided to dine in solo. The menu is a little big, but I was able to find a few rolls I wanted to try. I decided on a spicy “safe choice” tuna roll, and I believe I ordered the Godzilla roll. The presentation was just beautiful. I loved the touch of the flower on the plate of rolls. I also got hot sake and a crab salad. I was not a fan of the sake, but I loved the crab salad. It was a nice blend with the fresh cucumber.

Good service and great food. The building and surroundings smelled kinda funny, a lot of people smoking in the front of the restaurant.

Dined there on 11/14 and it was very good. Sushi and sashimi was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is very welcoming, wait staff a little slow but otherwise fine. Parking is very limited. Great presentation of food.

Stayed the night in Jacksonville for work and was craving sushi. This place was right down the street from the hotel, so I gave it a go. The service was quick, and the food was fantastic. I ordered one of the "chefs choice" platters, and I devoured every piece! I would definitely eat here again! I'd love to try something from the hibachi menu as well. The plates on the tables around me smelled incredible.

From the silent traveler to all of you welcome. This place is a great place for lunch and I'm quite sure for dinner as well while I had a chance to walk around the lovely downtown area I stumbled upon this place and I'm glad I did. They offer a very great lunch special and the quantity for the price you're getting is wonderful I highly recommend this place inside and out. The atmosphere was great the decor of the place was great the hostess and the staff beyond anything I would expect. The food is really good I highly recommend this place. And while you're there you might as well take him some sake if you can. It is during lunch so I hate for you to mess up during work hours. But you get a great size portion for the price you're getting at lunch I almost thought I was getting a dinner portion how nice the size was. When I'm back in town I must go back over there for dinner but lunch is definitely going to be my spot. From the silent traveler to all of you, be well, be safe be positive.

Nice sushi restaurant located a few blocks from the south riverfront. We were able to walk from our hotel to it. Sushi was good with a large selection to choose from. Other options available as well (my husband ordered hibachi). Wait staff were super friendly and attentive. Will definitely return on our next visit

Went for dinner a couple days ago coming back from college and food was amazing as always. I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and finally decided to write a review. Definitely recommend! If you ever come to Jacksonville, this is the place for sushi. On another note, I was scrolling through the reviews because I was nosy 🤣I noticed a recent one that was familiar to me but the way they worded it was definitely not how it went. I can’t write this review without addressing the other one😅 it keeps bothering me because the staff has been amazing :( anywho, I have been coming here for years and the staff has always been the sweetest. The review felt that the “lady with an insulated cup” was treated in humanely. The staff not only felt bad and gave her food and gave her hot water since it was so cold, but they have been doing that for so many years now. I have been a regular here since 2018 when I moved to San Marco and the homeless lady we saw that night had been coming continuously from time to time. From what I have seen, the staff had always given her food and their hot green tea (which, by the way, is amazing. definitely try their tea. perfect for cold weather). Plus this is a restaurant. Believe it or not, i think they should clean the table after every customer no matter what Karen 😂😂 i prefer not to eat in the germs of whoever ate here before me 😅

Our family enjoyed the clear soup, goyza and sushi for dinner. The staff were clean, efficient and nice. While we were there, two large parties (8 & 12) came in our level of personal attention did not go down. It was a happy and yummy dinner.

I picked up my grandchild from school and we had an hour before we had to head back. We both wanted sushi so googles the closest place and Saki House 2 was it! It was 4pm on a Thursday so we beat the dinner crowd. Very quaint little place. I felt we discovered a secret restaurant treasure. The service was wonderful and sushi was prepared with flair. It was delicious however i prefer sushi without the sauce so if I go again I will try something different. Thank you for the great service!

This place was dynamite. Quant, little spot with good vibes! The food was out of bounds Good and the service was top notch. Our appetizers were so fresh and amazingly delicious (we got cucumber rolls and boiled dumplings). For dinner I enjoyed the King Salmon with veggies and noodles, and it was succulent! Veggies were fresh and plentiful, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Can't recommend this place enough. You will not be disappointed.

The food was decent except for the fried rice. My husband didn't like it. He didn't even finish eating it. They have great customer service and offered (free) samples of sushi. The prices are average for sushi and the place had a nice atmosphere. *Edit: I changed the rating from 4 to 5 because I went here 30min till close ( dine in) and were still polite and accommodating. The food was delish and the service was excellent. Great job Sake House!

Sake House 2 might have the best sushi I have ever eaten. The service was incredible, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was simple but amazing. The restaurant was super clean, and the bathroom was also very clean. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine, good service, and a clean environment.

I only give this experience of four star because when I first arrived it took almost 20 minutes for somebody to come and get my drink order other than that service was fairly slow considering how busy it was definitely give yourself time to go to this spot.

Took my husband here because he likes sushi. I ordered the teriyaki tofu and he ordered the hummer roll at the suggestion of the server. We also ordered gyoga for appetizer. It all took a long time and the appetizers were not delivered until after my meal was delivered. The food was tasty. We watched two women clear the table next to us where one person dined. It was weird that the one wiping didn't wiped the whole table down, just a small part.

Best Sushi and Hibachi around! Also the customer service is always spectacular here. Beautiful plating. Very fair prices 👍

Awesome! We had Gyoza, chicken tempura and two specialty sushi rolls all of which were wonderful! + if you like hot sake your in luck 😁 will definitely come again

My husband and I always order to go but have dined in as well in the past. Their sushi is the best. They have a cute outside seating area.

We went around 2:30pm and there was not a lot of people there. The food was fantastic but me and my wife felt like we’re were being rushed out the server brought our check before making sure we were finished and when we asked for to-go orders he ran off while we were in the middle of ordering and quickly brought us another check and left before we could tell him there was more we wanted to order. In summary great food but we felt as if they were trying to rush us out.

Nice, thick cuts of fish. Fresh and clean flavor. Shrimp dumplings were hot and delicious. Wish they were stuffed with more shrimp. Service was very good. Food came fairly quickly and the wait time for our waitress was not bad. Return visit for real.

I love ordering from here. The food is always fresh and delivered in a timely manner. My 3 favorite rolls are the Spicy Salmon, Tuna and Spicy Crab with Avocado. I really like that they add a small chunk of tuna in the roll opposed to slices, like most places do. I used to order only from Sushi Cafe but the Sake House is quickly becoming my #1 spot

By far the best sushi in Jacksonville, I've been coming in for a few years now and it's always absolutely delicious. The sushi deluxe is my favorite. Their escolar is top notch!!

I made a takeout order by just walking in, though it does seem the preferred method for takeout is to order online ahead of time. Even so, they only took about 15min to prepare my food right at the 12:30 lunch rush, which was Japanese fried rice with chicken and a dragon roll; total was $22.07. Food was exactly what you'd should expect from a strip mall Japanese restaurant, it was very good but in no way it's it going to blow your mind. Great lunch spot. Atmosphere was great. Looked like they had plenty of tables had I decided to stay and eat there would have been no wait. Service was prompt and courteous. I will definitely be back.

This place was so amazing to our family on July 4th! They treated our kids to ice cream and made such a beautiful independence day display on a plate! We will 100% be back... also the waiter recommended the Diablo roll as 1 of their best sellers.... it was absolutely the best fried roll I've ever had!

The waiter walked off twice while I was speaking to him about menu options. We were just talking not arguing or being rude. Possibly a social disorder? Then an argument ensued with a grub hub delivery driver and resulted in them just cancelling. Stuff that should be in the back like boxes in the front. Expensive. Really small portions. I asked my partner about the experience, the agreed. This was noon on a Saturday and they just don’t seem like they care to be honest.

Complements the the chefs for the beautiful presentation of the sashimi deluxe and to the wait staff for helping to make my dining experience fantastic. Sake House rocks!
