The highest compliment I can give to Opus is a 5 star rating and good word for exemplary food. The seafood is amazing and the service is outstanding. We went there for dinner after we docked in Aruba and it was sooooo nice to eat in a quiet, well acquainted restaurant. The drinks were amazing and they even went the extra mile to help celebrate a birthday. Thank you my friend and see you soon!

Friendly staff and quick service here but ultimately we felt a bit disappointed by the food. It was only okay for us. Of the four of us in our party, one of us received seared scallops that weren't seared and one of us didn't receive the dish we ordered. The cocktails were fine but not excellent. Considering the other amazing places we ate while in Aruba, this restaurant underwhelmed us.

Holly cow Vegan's this place is hands down the best vegan options restaurant on the island. They will have you wondering how they hell they got tofu to taste like fish or chicken. Great staff and service. Wish we could go there every week! Totally want your tofu chicken recipes! The love the singer she had a nice voice. Highly recommend. Super yummy desert too!

This place was special. It might not be the local hotspot but they made us feel like family. Family owned and operated, the service was unrivaled from the minute we approached the restaurant. Kevin and Sonya greeted us with open arms, treated us like family and hugged us goodbye. They made everything easy including calling a cab and organizing food to go for our kids so it was hot when we got back to the hotel! Now the food! Lobster and fresh caught red snapper were on our plates and delicious! Locally sourced and caught octopus were also in our belly! Everything was delicious. We will come back for the ambiance and conversation with the local family. Thank you for a great experience!

Opus was a suggestion to us by family, and it turned out to be alright, but not my favorite meal of the trip. The ambiance was a bit strange and I think they could use a bit of improvement with the decor. The staff couldn’t have been nicer so we were happy with them. The portions of everything were so massive, to the point where we could have shared 3-4 entrees instead of all getting our own, and I do wish they’d suggested it. I did really like the French oysters and the octopus pasta, but everything else really left me underwhelmed. The tiramisu at the end was frankly inedible, and the custard had curdled and was so bad. I hope it was just a one off night for them with the dessert.

Sandy was our waiter the first night that we came. The food was so good that we came back the very next night and brought another guest with us. This place is owned by the same person who owns Excelencia restaurant which is my favorite restaurant on the island. Their chicken soup is literally to die for (even though the chef at excelencia makes it a little bit better🤫 but you didnt hear that from me lol). My dad said they make the best coconut shrimp he's ever had. And I LOVED their spicy shrimp. Overall, if you don't try this place while in Aruba, you're robbing yourself of a wonderful experience.

Great food and service. The mussels were great as an appetizer. I had the Red Snapper for the main course. They cooked it to perfection. If you're in Aruba and need to find a great seafood restaurant with impeccable service you have to visit the Opus Ocean & Grill.

Bryan greeted us warmly and welcomed us to the restaurant, providing us an overview of the menu. The fish had just come in fresh that day so I expected a great dining experience, which was provided. We ordered many appetizers including escargot, spicy shrimp, calamari, mussels and steak fries. All were seasoned well. I had the fried snapper that was perfectly cooked with the right amount of seasoning served with broccolini. The unlimited pinot grigio kept my lady refreshed and feeling nice. The service was impeccable throughout our dining experience and definitely would come back. Thanks Bryan for an excellent dining experience.

5 STARS! I found this place on google it was the first restaurant during our vacation. It was overall amazing! The food and service did not disappoint. They serve fresh fish prepared any style. The drinks are strong and the people are friendly. I highly suggest!

At the former location of The Old Fisherman that I loved and the staff lied about having the same cook. Now instead there's a wanna upscale looking place serving bland, supposed tourist pleasing food, ok drinks that had maybe four tables on a Thurs night. The service was annoyingly overly attentive. Avoid as one can get their generic food any where in the world.

Definitely one of the BEST restaurants I've been too. Not only for the delicious food, but also for the excellent service. Starting from the host who received us warming, she made me feel like a princess by helping me with my chair and she even made sure we had great pictures and videos 😋 The waiter who served us more than well. His wine suggestions where delicious. Our wine and water glass were never empty 😍 Last but not least to the kitchen staff who made sure our dinner was good to our stomach, tasty to our palate and they even focused on making sure it all looked appetizing. My sister and I visited this restaurant on 12/20/23 to celebrate my 40th birthday. This restaurant is AMAZING and I highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Aruba. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the customer service was top tier! I LOVED everything! The food was AMAZING! I had the red snapper and my sister had the lobster. Soooo good! I will definitely be back to visit!

This was simply the best dining experience I have had in my life! The team was accommodating for the children in my family, the food was excellent and tasted as if it was prepared with the love of your own family. The atmosphere was impeccable and the wait staff was the most attentive, hospitable I have ever experienced. My waiter was Fizz and anybody who gets him as their server will be blown away. If you go to Aruba YOU MUST dine here. The menu appears a bit expensive but once you taste the food and see the portions it will be the best money spent on your trip. This place alone makes me excited to visit Aruba again. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures!

I’m vegan and my partner loves sea food. Usually, when we go to a sea food restaurant I end up eating potatoes and boiled veggies. But not at Opus! I was delighted to see their vegan take on classic fish dishes. The chef sent me some vegan starters as well as the usual bread basket had non-vegan garlic bread. My partner loved their sea food. They even had vegan dessert and wines (in addition to non-vegan stuff)! The service was as delightful as the food. I’d recommend this place if you’d like to have a lovely evening in Aruba

My girlfriend and I ate dinner at this restaurant on 12/19 at 5p and the hospitality here as amazing. Brian was extremely friendly and very welcoming. He was also very understanding of my girlfriend's strict dietary needs and made sure the meal was accommodated for. As for the food, it was top notch. Nice and fresh and the seabass just melted in your mouth. If I am in Aruba again, I will most certainly come back.

My partner is vegan and the chef made spectacular efforts to make him some amazing off-menu dishes which were absolutely delicious. What a great restaurant. The service was spectacular (fizzy bubbles), and the food was amazing. Well worth the trip. We got a table even though we had not booked (but we did go in at 5pm). As we left, there was a singer, then starting, very subtle but had a beautiful voice.

Absolutely wonderful new find on the island! The service was incredible! Kenya was a very knowledgeable and friendly server. He was very accommodating and attentive. We actually had the opportunity to meet Chef Caesar as well! Every dish was delicious and also beautifully plated. I had the jamón ibérico for appetizer and the octopus with black squid ink pasta, with the homemade cheesecake to finish it off. My dad had the fried snapper, and it was fantastic as well. I couldn’t recommend it more! We will definitely be returning!

The staff at Opus went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience at their restaurant. We were visiting from the states and we're celebrating my wife's birthday and it was great. From the friendliest of the staff to the quality of the dishes you can not go wrong with Opus. The grouper was fantastic as well as the spicy shrimp. A must visit

"He looks like Jeffrey Dahmer, you should watch out." This was stated by our waitress 5 times throughout our "romantic meal." We were able to brush it off the first two times but it continously was brought up, where it simply turned this expensive "romantic meal," into the most inappropriate and unprofessional serviced meal of my life. To add to the poor service, we were moved twice during our meal to accommodate for incoming cruise ship large groups. This just showed the restaurant's true colors that they valued their corporate accounts while mistreating singular parties. This added to our frustrations during our dinner. It was clear that there wasn't a manager on the floor handling reservation and seat intake. Lastly, they slipped extra fees in with their over priced water without noting it was a charge and keeping the price off the menu. Ultimately we were pretty offended and thrown off by the poor service. We paid up, and I made a few attempts to follow up with management regarding this. After numerous attempts, a manager casually answered my call and chuckled at our experience simply stating they have a relaxed team that likes to joke around. The fact that he thought none of this was inappropriate and didn't further address the situation as he said he would reflects how genuinely unprofessional this restaurant is. AVOID this restaurant as it is not worth the effort for a reservation or the price of a "high end" seafood restaurant that it advertises to be.

Highly recommend Opus Ocean and Grill restaurant in Downtown Oranjestad. Easy walk from the Renaissance, Wind Creek Casino, and cruise terminal. Opus is a fine dining, family-owned restaurant where we were welcomed in and treated like one of the family. The octopus came highly recommended so we tried the appetizer. It was phenomenal. Had a couple additional apps and their grouper special. All were delightful. Restaurant specializes in seafood but also offers risotto, pasta, and meat options. Nice wine menu and full bar available. Will definitely be back.

The food was excellent - fresh and delicious if a little overpriced. Everything else was... not good. The atmosphere was the worst part. Over air-conditioned with a faux-fancy vibe, like the server placing my napkin on my lap and someone else filling my water up after almost every single sip - it was all just a little too much; as if they had seen what a fancy restaurant was supposed to look like in a bad 90s sitcom and tried to copy everything about it. There are FAR better (and much cheaper) options for fresh seafood without the pretentious facade that Opus has. Just go to Zeerover's.

Nice choice of wines. Shared the funchi and the calamari for appetizers. The funchi was light crispy and hot, melt in your mouth delicious, and the calamari was tender and crispy. Enjoyed them both! We both had the pina colada coconut shrimp for dinner, with rice and fresh vegetables. The shrimp was tasty but could've been just a bit more cooked. The fresh vegetables were perfectly cooked al dente. The rice was nothing to write about. The service is outstanding. We had live entertainment which was an unexpected delight. We woUld come back and try other dishes.

Had a great time with Bryan, who was very attentive and helped suggest delicious food for us. At the end of the night he even called the Taxi for us to make sure we got home safely. Love this restaurant and will come back again and again!

We had an excellent dinner at Opus this week. The service from Kenia was excellent. I was surprised there were not more tables full - I found just a couple of restaurants around to be sold out every night and the rest in need of business. Would definitely recommend Opus for a nice meal!

We had the pleasure of dining at Opus One. Our waiter Brian was very helpful and did a great job ensuring we were well taken care of for the evening. We have the grilled whole snapper which was fantastic and the calamari was outstanding.

Restaurant looks nice, service was horrible. We were a group of 19 celebrating our grandmother's 91st bday. Our appetizers took 90 minutes to get served and some people of our party did not get served. Asked for my steak to be cooked medium and got it well done. My wife's salmon was tiny and over seasoned. We complained and no manager nor the chef came to the table. We will not be returning.

What a fantastic find Opus Ocean and seafood was. Close to the cruise ships and shopping. They had fresh seafood and and excellent drink selection at reasonable prices. Their mussels were so good we had to reorder!

Honestly the best restaurant staff I have met in my 15 years coming to Aruba... Truly! The grouper was very moist and flavorful and my mom loved her shrimp scampi. So happy we stumbled upon this place as we usually stay in the high rises but were enjoying a few days at the Renaissance. Definitely worth making the trip over!

My husband and I went to opus based off their reviews. We were disappointed. I ordered the filet mignon. First it was forgotten and put on the oven late. Second, I got my food and it was chewy steak that had a tendon running through it. It wasn’t the cut that I ordered or paid for. The service was decent, and the staff seemed to care. They were apologetic but unfortunately we won’t be back. Today when we walked by the shop front there was trash all outside their front steps as well. It wouldn’t take much to turn this place around. I hope they put the time into it.

We were on our honeymoon, out looking for gifts to take home to the grandkids, when all of a sudden our stomachs starting growling. The lady at the gift shop recommended this place. So, we went looking and there it was. Very nice decor, clean and the guys who met us was very attentive. My bride had the grouper and I had the mahi mahi. I think whoever names fish could have stopped at just one mahi but I don't know anything about naming fish. It took a little while to cone out, but it was cooked fresh so it was to be expected. It was delicious! I didn't stop eating it until it was gone, and I don't eat anything until it's gone. The service was wonderful, we had a nice chat with the young man who filled our water glasses. He was born in Aruba. If you get a chance, stop by and give them a chance. You won't be disappointed.
