The food was good and the traditional plate I tried was amazing, quite different from what I have tasted before. The portions are huge and the service very friendly and helpful. In general it was a nice experience and I would definitely recommend it.

Iguana Joe's has been Aruba's most popular and critically acclaimed Caribbean restaurant. The extensive menu features fresh mahi-mahi, coconut shrimp, chicken enchiladas, island jerk fire-roasted chicken and Argentine grass-fed filet mignon. We had heard great things about this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Prices were reasonable compared to a lot of restaurants on the island and the food was great! Their service outshines everything! It's worth the climb to the 2nd story to sit, enjoy the view and be served by some of the friendliest people. We will return.

We had the best seat in the house looking out the open air restaurant window to the ocean. Great Food and wonderful service. Definitely would go there again next time we are in Aruba

The food was pretty good. I got takeout, so I'm not sure if that affected my portion size, but the portions were really small for the price. I still enjoyed the meal overall, though. I thought it was seasoned really well!

Been here several times not sure how Iguana Joe's is now post pandemic every time I've been there in the past this was the place to be. Was on Aruba during several cruise ship visits, port is right across the street. This place is a crew favorite stays packed, great location, nothing but fun, food was excellent, I love the place. One big party, can't wait to go back. On Aruba Iguana Joe's is a must visit bar and grill, especially if you're visiting on a cruise ship.

Love the colorfulness of the place, nice and bright. Nice restaurant to grab a quick bite. Near a busy spot so definitely good location choice. Food is good. I like how at the bottom of the Bill it showed the price in both US and Florin so you can pay either or. Overall nice experience here.

Location is great. We ordered a plate of nachos, vegetarian style. The nachos were good. How can you mess up nachos? The margaritas were okay too. Service was good. The view is perfect, especially when you sit along the railing. A great place to grab a drink, especially when you are getting off the cruise ship. We tried another restaurant down the street and decided to leave prior to ordering. This should have been our first choice.

I believe our waitress name was Donna, and she was amazing. She gave great recommendations and her service was superb. The food was great and I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Aruba.

We stopped for lunch on the way back to the cruise ship. We had the classic mojito and the sangria. Then we split a Cuban sandwich. The drinks were excellent and refreshing. The Cuban sandwich was very authentic but too much mustard for our taste. You can order without mustard - that's how I would order on my next visit. Other than the mustard issue it tasted excellent. However the fries were dry. I will not order them again. The service was both fast and attentive. Never once did I have to look for my server. I will definitely be back.

This was the first restaurant my family and I had when we arrived in Aruba. I enjoyed the food very much. The mahi mahi was well prepared and I enjoyed the pepper sauces that were on the table to put on the food. Overall, great customer service.

The coconut shrimp was very good. Only wish they had a coconut pineapple sauce to go with it.

This place is okay. Nothing great but not terrible. It is more of a touristy restaurant, since it’s located so close to the cruise port. I had their best selling dish and their signature drink, both were okay. I ate most of the food, but there was a ton of cheese, which the server did inform me of before ordering, but still didn’t expect so much cheese. Would’ve preferred if it came with a side of vegetables or something, and just a little less cheese. May return to try something else at a later time, but for now, going to check out other local places on the island.

OMFG! This place is lovely! 10 out of 10. So so so glad we decided to have lunch here. I had the fish tacos they were absolutely scrum-didly! And the mango jalapeño mojitos are to die for so exquisite! The music was a mix of old school 80s 90s I was dancing and singing in my seat the whole time. Our server was the best part she was so warm, and positively radiant with loving energy her name was Giovanna please ask for her and give her all your money!

Browsed the menu outside in front. Food looked good! While waiting for someone to come seat a Gentleman comes out who appeared to be the owner. He immediately insulted my wife, saying she looks picky, and we should try the Renaissance hotel plaza that has more restaurants. Super rude and bizarre glad we didn’t eat here.

Everything was absolutely delicious. They have Aruba's national dish, Keshi Jena/Yena which was super flavorful. I highly recommend it, especially if your a fan of cheese!

We (local) celebrated my daughter's birthday at Iguana's with a lunch after school. It was really busy, lots of tourists but we did get a table right away (lucky) and the service was quick and good. Our waiter and another gentleman (owner or manager) were very attentive to our needs and wishes! We even got a birthday desert with singing from the staff. My daughter was really surprised and said afterwards that the singing made her feel extra special on her day so THANK YOU for that! The food was also very good, we hadn't been there for a long time because of the pandemic and we are happy your back!

Always a great stop at the Royal Plaza Mall for lunch when shopping downtown. The have another newer location up in the high rise area, as well. Order the Pink Iguana frozen drink. You won't be disappointed !! I had the fish tacos and my sister had the chicken club sandwich with fries. Both were delicious !! Donna was our server and she was great !!

Stopped here while exploring the city. The jerk chicken skewers are SO GOOD! They also give really good portion sizes on the drinks. A whole carafe to myself. Definitely recommend!

Fun place off the cruise port. Iguana nachos were enough for 4 people…made with Gouda for a little Dutch touch. Try the National dish called Keshi Jena..absolutely delicious.

Iguana Joe's is a great venue. The service staff are friendly,helpful and professional. The food is very enjoyable, plenty of it too. Always visit for lunch when shopping in town. Love the upstairs dining experience, shame it might be moving next year. Definitely recommend.

While we were in town we stopped here for some lunch, don't plan on a quick stop though. It is a very busy place, very friendly servers and decent food. We all would go back.

Touristy bar/restaurant in the middle of the capital. Drinks were delicious and strong. Server was cheerful and efficient. Easy to get to off of the cruise ships if that's how you arrived.

We had lunch at Iguana Joe, while we were in Aruba on vacation. The food and service was very good. I had the Jerk chicken sandwich and that was a really big sandwich. The next day i ordered the Jerk chicken dinner. There was so much chicken, that the next day i had chicken for a Ceasar salad. The view also is spectacular. The Pink Iguana drink was delicious but a little pricey. It tasted like a smoothie. They said it had alcohol but i didn't taste any...

Food and service was great, but after we paid (in cash) and left the restaurant the waitress chased us down the street and said we hadn't paid the full amount. Certain that someone pocketed the money and was trying to get more, we refused and left. Be aware.

The food was good, the staff was excellent, and the atmosphere was typical for a really nice restaurant/bar. The restaurant was able to accommodate a party of eight without any problems, and everyone really enjoyed the food, drink, service and the atmosphere there.

My experience was terrible because of the rude waiter that was supposed to take care of us. This is what he did, first: he didn't allow my husband to move the chair to avoid the sunlight going straight to his face, he said it was "forbidden" to move the chairs, so he made my husband to move the chair back, even though it wasn't bothering anybody. I was annoyed but still tried to let it go and ordered a couple of drinks to start. Second: I wasn't planning to eat, just wanted some drinks, so when my husband wanted to order some food only for himself, this same grumpy old man (the waiter) was lecturing us, *again*, that we weren't allowed to share, that we HAD to order something for each person. I explained to him that we didn't want to share, I was not going to eat, and he just gave us this condescending look, and kept repeating himself. At this point, I couldn't keep talking to him so I just asked him to leave us alone for a minute. I told my husband how upset and uncomfortable I felt, so he asked him to bring the check for the drinks and then we just left without being able to eat. This was just extremely ridiculous and rude, I still don't understand what he was thinking, that's not service at all, he just ruined the moment for us.

Food and service were okay. My husband and I got the same thing, however something did not agree with me, while at the restaurant and this was the only place that it happened on our trip.

Great place, good food, friendly service. Prices are competitive compared to other places. Try to get a table overlooking the street below. Nice place to people watch. In the evening there is always a nice breeze because the restaurant is on the second level. Loved it.

Wow, the food, the service, and the view was great! We ordered a taco salad and the steak and shrimp fajitas. The two of us shared it and it was delicious and plenty for two.

Amazing healthy food

Hubby and I visit this restaurant every time we are in Aruba, weather we are staying at an All Inclusive resort or off the cruise ship. We really enjoy the jambalaya which can feed 4 people and the drinks are always great.

A bit like the tourist trap for food. Ordered a cubano and could not eat it. Rest of the food ordered was terrible. Not worth the visit.

Iguana Joe's is our spot every time we have the chance to visit Aruba, which so far has been on multiple Princess cruise ships. The restaurant is always hopping and serves amazing fresh tortilla corn chips and salsa to start off any meal. Sit and gaze out on the town and Caribbean Sea while you enjoy your meal and perhaps one of their 'potions'. Short walk from the cruise terminal makes it super easy and convenient too!

one of the best restaurants on the island, located in downtown oranjestad, it is lots of bang for your buck! And I got the best meal of my life here, I was craving shrimp and rice so I saw they had a chicken bacon ceasar wrap and then a shrimp wrap so I asked to just get shrimp instead of chicken in the ceasar wrap! Omg it was amazing, I wanted 3 more! Their ceasar dressing was house made and the there was a ton of shrimp in it. The drinks were good too!

Iguana Joe's is awesome!!! We make sure to go at least twice while we're here. Great pub atmosphere overlooking downtown Orangestad. The KESHA YENA is a must try! It's a local dish made with pulled chicken, cheese, olives, raisins and spices. It can be a bit salty but that doesn't stop me from ordering it.
