Fantastic food! The clams, the seared tuna, the fillet mignon and the massive shrimps- everything was top quality and delicious. Our favourite restaurant in Renaissance hotel.

I’m more of a local foodie person when it comes to traveling so when I heard of this place I had no plans to go, until we passed by and I was like you know what let’s do it. I suggest making reservations in advance because they were no seats available when we arrived, they kindly let us eat at the bar. And honestly the bartenders/waiters were amazing! So kind and willing to have conversations with us about their beautiful island. Besides that the food was phenomenal the wagu literally melted in your mouth and I literally would fly a plane one day just to go and eat here again!

LG Smith's Steak & Chop House was truly an experience. I booked the restaurant based on its menu and location being near the water. We had a party of 7 and they put us in a private room. We had a mixologist, Danny, and an amazing Waiter, Francisco and Rolon was his assistant. The experience from the time you walk in to the time we left was amazing. The even have special menus you can pick ahead of time if you have a large party of 10 or more people. My husband loved the atmosphere and being among family. The food was great! I got lamb chops with mac and cheese, and we ordered calamari and crab cakes for the table. Would definitely recommend eating here again. The drinks were also great! Just great experience, great customer service, great everything! Thank you!

We are currently still in Aruba enjoying ourselves in this beautiful country! We had a fabulous dinner experience at LG's the other night celebrating my daughter's and my birthdays. This is a very elegant, upscale restaurant with ambiance plus! We are staying at the Renaissance Resort, which is connected to LG's. Our waiter was the very attentive, professional, and friendly Omar. He deserves a medal for all of our questions about the menu as well as Aruba and Oranjastad! He was outstanding. We each ordered a ribeye, which was brought out on a rolling cart by the chef with a large cut of the Rib. He sliced 10 oz in front of us and weighed it. The Rib has to weigh a minimum of 10oz, but you can order a larger cut. There are 4 choices of sauces that you can request for your ribeye. We chose the mildest one with the Morell mushrooms in it, and it was so good. Our ribeyes were cooked to perfection (medium) and were very flavorful. Our sides were baked potatoes. For an appetizer, we had French Onion soup, which tasted like it was actually made from scratch and soooo delicious. It wasn't heavy like other places make it. I really liked it. To accompany our dinner, we chose Merlot from the St. Michelle winery in Washington State. It never disappoints. At the end of our dinner, Omar brought out our Creme Brulee with a giant sparkler for us birthday girls! We loved it and thank you! We hope to come back to LG Smith in the near future. It is a top-notch, upscale restaurant where you feel very comfortable. We highly recommended it!

Where do I start. Making a reservation for a group of 10 45 days prior was easier than I expected. The pictures online didn't do any justice. When I made the reservation I assumed we would just be at a table in the main restaurant. I was shocked when we were walked to the back to a private curtained off area with a round table and rolling chairs. The table side bartender was a hit with our group and the food was all delicious. Definitely order the crab cake if you go! We will definitely return the next time we are in Aruba. The staff was also wonderful!

My husband and I had dinner here our last night in Aruba and this restaurant, DID NOT disappoint. From the moment we entered, we experienced nothing but fancy, elegant great hospitality. Dined here my first night on the island. The environment and staff were nice, but there was nothing about the place that would make it more than an average steakhouse. The calamari as an appetizer was a little over salted. Had the lamb chops and salmon and they were good. Had the Mac n cheese, mushrooms, and truffle fries as sides, and they tasted as expected. My disappointment is paying a premium price PLUS service charge for a meal that didn't offer premium flavor...

My husband and I had dinner here during our stay at the Renaissance Resort. We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious as well the specialty cocktails. Our server, Franco, was friendly and professional. The dry aged steak was everything we expected. There is a mobile bar and the bartender was fun and entertaining. Definitely a night to remember.

Last friday my best friend took me out for my belated birthday dinner. I could pick the place so I decided that we should go to LG Smith's. Reservation was made very quick and we decided to go 7.30 pm. Our hostess chose a table for us that was convinient for me since I have a SCI and walk with crutches. The menu was extensive and I chose the shrimp cream soup, the lambchops with the creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus and for desert the crème brulee. Eduard offered us some coctails and we went with the cosmopolitans. They were delicious! It was a drink made with passion! We enjoyed the art and patience he put in it to have a beautiful presentation! Buchi, our server, was very helpfull with tips when choosing our dinner. All by all we had a marvelous night! Did I forget to mention the dj? He had so much fun in his booth! What a relaxing night with great company delicious food and super service!

The reviews were correct!! Best restaurant in Aruba. I had the Cowboy Ribeye Steak and Calamari. Best Steak and Calamari ever. The service was great. Ask for BIG G and Abigail. Prices were reasonable. Plenty of parking. I recommend this restaurant for quality of food and service.

I went here for a birthday dinner with my partner. We had a good time. The food was good, the place was cozy, the service was a bit slow and the noise levels were high..hence the 4 stars. I would dine here again.

Interesting place. Service was great although the food was not “wow” compared to what the hotel staff told us. We liked the starters quite a lot but the mains were a bit dissapointing. It also seemed a bit busy and our server did amazing, although having the right amount of staff would avoid confusion and allocate more time in actually understanding the dishes, what they come with, etc. Overall a good experience but there is room for improvement for sure.

I enjoyed the food here. The prices for the steak cuts and side dishes were very reasonable. The atmosphere I would describe as as fancy but relaxed ambiance. I had the macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach and skirt steak. I had a green sauce. (I forgot the name of it) More than likely the chilled horseradish cream or chimichurri. All in all, I plan on eating here again on my next visit. It's also definitely worth the visit if you like drinks. They have mixologists here that put on a show making your drinks in front of you.

The food was excellent. My wife ordered the Fillet Mignon and loved it. I had the lobster ravioli which was also very good. For sides we chose asparagus and mashed potatoes which were both flavourful. Highly recommend. Our waiter Big G was super friendly and helpful. Be sure to ask for him.

Dined here on 12-31-19 for new year's with my family. Lobster ravioli was very average. My Kobe 10oz center cut was the worse piece of meat I have ever had. At $150, you would think the chef would be picky to plate such a steak. What he/she let the servers serve was inexcusable. 80% fat, 20% aweful meat My son did enjoy his waygu filet to be fair. Ceasar salad was tasteless as well. We vacation often in Aruba and will never done there again.

What an amazing restaurant to dine at! The Chief cuts the prime rib at the table so you see what your cuts likes like. Seafood was excellent also. Beautiful view of sunset and wonderful drinks. Desserts were amazing also. Rudma and Rudy made it extra special.

Service amazing! Good excellent! And entertaining watching the butcher with his roll top wood block. Also the bartender on wheels has great smoked drinks!

The whole experience was incredible, with nice staff that have a sense of humor. Food was also extraordinary, and I would certainly recommend the wagyu tenderloin. Even though we didn't order dessert, we were still givin lovely little mini ice creams. 10/10 would recommend.

The restaurant has a semi waterfront view. The service and staff was outstanding. Table side bartender with signature drinks. Had a 30 day aged steak with lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly. Definitely a place I will visit again.

By far the best restaurant that is included in the Renaissance Wind Creek all-inclusive package. Anyone can go here and it is located inside the Renaissance Mall right next to the casino which is nice and if you're waiting for a table you can always go to the lobby bar as well the waiters really are trained to put on a show whether it is providing a fancy drink or just presenting your meal to you the food was so good we went back two nights in a row. Although it is not included in the all-inclusive package the cowboy steak is definitely worth upgrading too. This restaurant was also very good about catering to anybody who may have food allergies.

Really good food and drinks which I was expecting but it lived up to the hype. Mixologist was entertaining and made legitimately delicious drinks. I'm not very into whiskey but the Japanese whiskey concoction he made was amazing. Food was also good, bread came out with butter but also a port wine cheese spread which was nice. I ordered the seafood mignon and it had some of the best scallops I've ever had in it.

The restaurant organized for our group of 10 to sit in an exclusive dinner room. The bartender came and made drinks for us table side. We were able to taste some very exclusive tequila and bourbon! And the food.......OMG the food was just absolutely amazing!

Definitely one of the better steakhouses in Aruba. The ambiance is cool. Would probably be even nicer sitting down just before sunset as the restaurant faces the water. The whole meal is an “experience.” The bartender will come to your table and make you a fancy cocktail with fire, smoke or bubbles. I also saw some waiters making the steak tartare table side. The food was also tasty. The chef provided us with a complimentary spring roll which may be the best I’ve ever had. Even the bread was good. The quality of the steak is good, comparable to other high end steakhouses on the island and the sides were delicious. The pricing of the food and drink was actually reasonable (from NY standards) especially compared to some other very overpriced steakhouses. Definitely would come back again. Have I had a better quality steak in the US? Yes. But in comparison to other places on the island the quality is quite similar.

This is a nicer restaurant for Aruba. It’s not fancy. The food is good, the servers are interactive, it’s in a good location near downtown connected to the Marriott and across from the cruise ships. They do a very nice presentation with the cutting of your steak table side. The calamari is excellent with a light breading! If you’re celebrating anything special they do those sparklers on the desserts which are always fun. I will say I was disappointed with their hostess as I put comments in my reservation on Open Table about the occasion we were celebrating but when we arrived the service team had to be told. I hate it when details are overlooked. The servers did make our occasion feel special.

This was our last night in Aruba dinner. We’ve had some great meals on this trip, but dinner tonight at LG Smith Chop House was by far the best. Jean was so attentive! We have dined at great restaurants all over the US and Caribbean, and Jean is one of the best waiters that we have ever had! The food was wonderful, atmosphere was good, diner was well paced, butcher and food runners were all attentive and personable. We highly recommend making this a “must” on your trip agenda.

Top knotch restaurant, you are definitely getting what you pay for, down to the bread they give out. They have dry aged steaks, and even better is the Australian Wagu beef they have. The wagu is priced at 8oz tenderlion for $85 and the 12oz ribeye for $75.

Fantastic place, service and the steaks were too notch, can’t wait to get back.

To be fair I attended as a vegetarian with friends. I tried all of the vegetarian friendly sides. The salad wasn't bad and the mac & cheese was good but everything else left much to be desired. Additionally service was very slow, many people were left looking around for their waiter and having to flag someone down for EVERYTHING.

We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel--where this steakhouse is located, and it looked good so we gave it a go. Wow, it exceeded our expectations! Service was impeccable. And the other employees were very aware of us asking how our meal was and so forth. We got the Cowboy steak. It will be remembered for a long time. The crab cake was the best I have ever had. And I lived in Maryland. The calamari and sides were also tasty. I always have to get the chocolate option for dessert, which was the chocolate dome.
