Iguana Joe's

Restaurant

🫤 Very odd experience, unlike the other Iguana Joes in Orangutan this was unpleasant. Food was not great, server delivered food and then returned when we were ready to leave. The odd thing was the music switch, very atypical slow, sombre music which practically out the few people there to sleep. What... People often mention good, chicken, area, friendly, ordered,

Home of my favorite Aruban dish, Keshi Jena, a savory blend of chicken and spices topped with tons of Gouda cheese with rice or rice and beans on the side. Awesome! I'm not happy that they closed the downtown location in favor of the high rise area but it is still the same menu.

The odd thing was the music switch, very atypical slow, sombre music which practically out the few people there to sleep. What a contrast to the other Iguana and Smokey Joe's which are excellent, upbeat and enjoyable.

Service was amazing, super friendly staff!! Food was really good! I had the taco salad and my sister had the fish tacos. Portions were large and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely come back. Great sandy area to entertain kiddos as well.

I arrived on Aruba on Saturday, April 15 2023 around 2PM but ended up waiting about three or four hours for my friends to arrive. It was getting late after going to the market and checking in. Fortunately or unfortunately, we were told that all of the restaurants at the resort were already closed so we headed off-property. As we were walking, we quickly came upon Iguana Joe’s in the Palm Beach area. We had passed it on the ride from the market to the resort. We were tired and hungry. It was right in front of us, so we went in. It reminded me of places in South Florida. There is a bar, tables and a sand pit. We chose a table and sat down to order. There is a good selection of appetizers and entrees as well as drinks that includes island brewed beer. We ordered patties because one of our group is from Jamaica. I ordered a cheeseburger and a sangria. One person ordered Jamaican Jerk Chicken and both ordered Balashi beers. Except for the wait time, in an almost empty restaurant, we were not disappointed. The patties were a little on the small side but very tasty. The burger was a little underdone but was a good-sized burger with Swiss cheese and well-seasoned. It was very good. The other two people in my group liked their entrees. Other than the wait time for our order, the food was very good with good portions. My friends really liked the Balashi beers. The waitstaff was friendly and things were reasonably priced, especially for a resort area. Yes, I would eat there again and I did eat at the Iguana Joe’s in Oranjestad a few days later. P.S. I like to try different foods and restaurants as I travel. I was a little disappointed that there was no actual iguana on the menu. I have had alligator in the past and was hoping to compare the taste of iguana and alligator.

I loved this place! The atmosphere was great, with a sandpit and cornhole boards to keep you busy before your food arrived. I got to defeat my boyfriend 21-4, which made my meal taste all the better! I got the KESHI JENA which was so good! If you are a Gouda cheese lover I highly recommend! My boyfriend got grilled grouper and he also enjoyed his meal, but said it was pretty average. The service was very friendly and we did not have to wait very long for our food at all.

This was Iguana Joe's Palm Beach and had just opened . No crowd, seated immediately. Has a sand beach "play area". Was a burger and fry kind if night. Burger was cooked as ordered and price was average for the area.

Food is delicious. They are currently on their pre-opening. The ribs are as good as their sister restaurant. Presentation is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The manager keeps checking with guest if everything is ok. We had onion soup and nachos as appetizers. And ribs as main course. Delicious.

A nice variety of food with a very pleasant staff. Try the onion soup, really good. The girls enjoyed their chicken salads, son had the delicious jersey chicken and I had a local chicken dish with veggies and spices topped with gouda and baked, delicious. And the whole menu is moderately priced. There is even a play zone for the kids to enjoy.

Ate here for the first time and wasn't impressed. I ordered the chicken taco salad tonight. The chicken was so dry. The whole salad was lacking flavor. I ended up throwing it all away and because it's curfew I couldn't order anything else. I wouldn't recommend this place.

No ambiance and a lousy location. However, the food was excellent and the service was superb. We will definitely return.

The food was very good and the atmosphere was laid-back. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand pit, particularly the beanbag game. At first we were worried about disturbing other patrons; however the manager came over and told us that that is exactly what the sandpit is for and people who come to the restaurant expected to be a little loud. Their staff were friendly and professional and if you have kids in the 3 to 8-year-old range this place is perfect
