I hiked this bad boy from Daimaris beach. 1.5 hr RT. The experience was great. You pass by two beaches, white dunes, etc. Saved $200 from a tour and got an experience of a lifetime. Bring plenty of water. I took two bottles of water and 2 protein bars just in case. Recommend to do the hike at 8 am when the sun is low. IG- love_to_exist

We hiked here from Daimari beach and parked at parking Rancho (search here on Google Maps) where we parked our rental car, it was a 4 mile hike round trip and not all the trails were easily identifiable so pay attention if you are not that experienced. We had a blast even though it was hot, we seen the most beautiful views and would highly recommend doing this hike.

A beautiful natural pool if you can find time alone here. The pool is a little deep but the salt water is very buoyant. You’ll want to avoid the large tour groups who will ruin the experience. Shame on the park for allowing those destructive, irreverent hordes. Skip the 4x4s and take the 90 minute hike in from the park entrance and you’ll see breathtaking views of the reserve.

Not always open due to strong currents, but a very beautiful spot to see even if not swimming! The roads leading to it are very rough even for a 4×4.

If you have a 4x4 vehicle definitely make the trip! It is probably the most off-road route you'll ever take, bumpy at the least but makes for a great adventure. The stairs going down can be a bit tiring but worth it :) I recommend bringing a pair of snorkel's or goggles, there are beautiful fish down there.

This is surely a neat thing to see. Sea waves crash into the rocks and some flows over to form a 5ft to 15 ft deep pool. Rocks are slippery. The only reason I give it less stars in cause of the ride you have to take over unpaved extremely uneven roads. If you didn't have neck or back pain, you might after this ride.

Amazing place, especially when it's not too crowded. Come by yourself, you can take the Coastal trail which is a beautiful 30 minutes hike from the north side. Look up Rancho Daimari for the parking area, no 4x4 needed. Stop by Boca Keto along the way!

It's a natural pool in Aruba. It was absolutely beautiful. A trip to get to. Highly suggest wearing water shoes. Slick rocks and. No easy way in or out.

This was a really cool place and recommended going if the sea would allow. Great experience and helpful park rangers at the pool. A friend dropped her phone in the pool, and the ranger dove for it and got it before she could even have time to panic. I have too many pictures that are not on my phone, but i have small video of a wave.

This is probably my favorite thing to see in Aruba. It's spectacular! We looked all over the big island of Hawaii for something like this. And here we found it in the Caribbean. Bear in mind that this is only accessible by entering through the national park and if you don't have your own 4x4, you have to get on a park provided 4x4 to get there. Also, hiking is an option but it's several miles. Additionally, the ride in is very rough so you will bounce around quite a bit.

Wear water shoes... very dangerous. ROCKS everywhere they hurt your feet. Must be in good physical body health. Get ready for a hike! Not as easy as it looks!

As every review says, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Takes about 40 minutes to drive here from entrance to park. Definitely requires 4x4 vehicle or Jeep. But it was absolutely worth every penny. We would absolutely come here again.

This is a really cool swimming area that you need a 4 x 4 to get to. Or a long hike. It was really neat and beautiful. I highly recommend it 👌 👍

It is a hike to get to the pool from the park entrance on a bumpy road. The steps down and back up could leave some people winded (about 100 steps). The rocks you have to climb over to get into the pool can be slippery, so I would recommend water shoes if you aren't wearing flipper. Lots of people go in bare foot but it is slippery. There are a lot of colourful large and small fish to see. It was worth the trip.

I walk almost everyday to the natural pool, some times twice a day. Some days it's good less waves, some days it's not too much waves, some days no breeze, some days with breeze, if you don't have a 4x4, i can guide you to the pool, or ask around for sure sombody can guide you. Best times to go early in the morning before 9a.m or after 4p.m. for info feel free to contact me.

The day we visited, we hiked up from the visitors center it was a little over 3 miles each way. He &I are accustomed to long hikes. The waves were rough, and we did not stay in the water for too long but such beautiful sites.

Did a great morning hike with Yarimar ( please look her up on airbnb). Very knowledgeable of Aruba, history, plants, and much more. Awesome views. Hike is at 6:30, prior to crowds. So Conchi natural pool all to ourselves.

We had a small sedan and were able to drive safely to Daimari beach parking. You have to go to the main park office to buy tickets and get wristbands bands. We hiked from there to Daimari beach. Then walked along the coast to the natural pool which took about 40 minutes. Not a lot of people go this way but you’re not alone. Bring snorkel gear, there are a lot of bright fish in there. You can do rock jumping and enjoy the cool water and waves in the natural pool.

Great adventure!! Rented a jeep for the day to do the off roading to the pool. I thought it was a lot of fun, my wife disagrees (she gets car sick). The steps down from the parking area were not bad, but you do have to maneuver to actually get to the pool itself. Definitely heed the warning about water shoes!!!! I wish I had them, my toes and fingers got cut up on the rocks. Snorkeling was fun, the kids loved it, I jumped off the rocks which was cool too. Making the trek out is absolutely worth it if you only do it once. We heard from the locals that some of these sites are starting to fade away and might not be around much longer. You can see what they mean, one of the sides of the pool is starting to breakdown and become exposed to the ocean which will eventually make it unsafe to swim. Go now while you can!!

One of the coolest things you can do in Aruba! Nice drive to get there though if you enjoy 4x4 action. Much better to hike there from the Visitor Center if you can manage the 11km round hike.

Alot of hype for this place. It is very pretty and probably the only safe spot to swim this side of the island. Unfortunately you'll need to scramble over some rocks and waves to safely slide into this pool. If you have mobility issues I say skip it. The pool is deep and relatively safe from waves although you'll feel larger waves as they come through. Be sure you're guide is near by and to wear a vest if you're not a confident swimmer.

Do not miss this spot. The views were breathtaking and the pool was so much fun. We did not take a tour of off-road and instead did a small hike. You pass two secluded beaches with cliffs and all kinds of scenery, it was well worth it. You simply drive to Rancho Parking and hike along the shore for 45min-1hr.

It was absolutely amazing!!! We were parking at Rancho and hiked there from Daimari beach. It was a 30 - 40 Min walk along the coast with beautiful views on the way. The natural pool was impressive! We had such a blast. This was definitely our best spot on Aruba next to Baby Beach. Highly recommended to go there!

We came here during a storm. Hurricane Iota was passing by (though nowhere near the island) and to see the ocean so alive and angry at this area was an experience. We still climbed down to the pools, saw crabs, and felt those waves crashing into the rocks like it was collecting a debt. Beautiful place!!

If you go to Aruba you need to rent a jeep and spend the day in the park. The natural pool is worth the price. The caves are nice to explore also

The Conch is a must see if it’s your first trip to Aruba. I have been going for 20 years, since I was a kid. It’s sometimes closed due to weather and some days are rougher than others. But on a good day it’s a great spot to swim, snorkel or just take in the sights. Getting there is its own adventure. For those more familiar with off roading it’s way better to rent your own jeep for the day and just go around the island but for those who are older or prefer the safety of a guide there are many tours that take you there. Be aware!!! They don’t allow ATV/4x4 vehicles any more! As well, there is a fee of $20 per person to enter the park.

Magical place along a beautiful coast, and the highlight of our Aruba trip! Lots of other posts describing the place itself so I'll just focus on logistics and tips. Access: we hiked into Conchi from the Daimari side. There is also another option for hiking in from the visitor center but it's a bit longer. Once we parked and hiked to Daimari, the hike past Moro, dunes, cliffs was absolutely stunning. Note if you come in from the Daimari side, the road down to Daimari Ranch is impassable as of Dec. 2022 in a non jeep. Even trucks and SUVs park at the top of the hill and normal rental cars park another 1.5 to 2 hills away. We had the tiniest Kia and this added maybe another 20 min each way to our hike but no big deal. Accessing the ranch/trail is the most challenging part of this entire trek so if you've made it there you are good to go! The hike took us about 1 hr each way at a very modest pace (I would guess it's about 2 miles with the added distance to reach the Rancho). We met a family who hiked in to Conchi from the visitor center and they said their trek was about 1.5 hours. By the time we got back to our car, there was about 5 others parked together where normal rental cars park so it definitely can be done in a normal rental. Tips: I agree with the other reviewers that the ATV and jeep tours definitely detract from the experience at Conchi. We got to have the pool to ourselves when we first arrived but by the time we left at noon, it was one tour after another. So start early.. but be sure to stop at visitor center first to check conditions and buy your wristbands. Why stop at the visitor center day of and not the day before? The seas can be rough and conchi can close to swimming. The pool was completely closed Dec 26 and partially closed Dec 27. You are only going to get that kind of info on the ground day of. Pack lots of water (at least 1 L per person). There is little shade on the hike to the pool. The two places you may find shade is under a tree by the rancho and near some bushes as you approach Moro. You may also find some shade near the rocks at Conchi. I brought a travel sun umbrella on the hike and found it super helpful. Yes there are fish at Conchi and the tour guides will sometimes throw bread into the pool to attract the fish, but honestly the diversity and types of fish you see is no different than other parts of Aruba so I'd say that's a minor value add. We brought our snorkels and didn't bother to use them. The magic of Conchi is getting to swim in this stretch of coast that would otherwise be completely inaccessible and watching huge waves crash over rocks while you are safely protected by the rocks shielding the pool. It's exhilarating and an experience not to be missed!

Conchi "Natural Pool" Is an amazing place to visit, one thing you need to be able to swim Conchi is deep no doubt about that, you will see some people jumping from the rocks into Conchi of you have never do that abstain your self of doing that, the rocks can be slippery and if you fall on them there can be some consequences for yourself, aside from that go with you goggles snorkel any thing you have there are some beautiful fishes swimming in Conchi, the water is always clear and cold and there is a Constand flow of water coming in Conchi due the waves that hit the noord rock walls its an amazing experience.

If I could give this 50 stars I would! Maybe because it is everything my family loves- swimming, a little bit of climbing, jumping from a cliff into a pool of water (of you choose to climb up into the hidden pool above the natural pool). We probably could have spent most of our day here if we would have had more time but we under time constraints from our cruise ship. Go here!!

To visit this natural pool, you'll need a 4x4 vehicle, a horse or strong hiking 🚶‍♂️ legs, but it's certainly worth visiting. The water is crystal 🔮 clear with plenty to see above and below the surface. Bring your snorkel and mask, but get there early in the day before tourists start to flock.

Beautiful! Would have loved to stay all day! Only complaint would be that tours are too quick; take your own vehicle and spend the day. Big fish in the pool, so dont forget your snorkel gear...you won't regret it! Will be top of my to-do list should I return to Aruba.

This is one of the most amazing places I have EVER been, anywhere in the world. It’s not easy to get to, but well worth the adventure! We rented an ATV and drove around the entire island, spent the most amount of time here. It’s nice to be there a little later in the afternoon/ early evening, in between when tours of people show up. We got some time with just a few other people around which was nice. Bring your snorkeling gear and water shoes. Not the easiest ground to walk on without water shoes!

This is a must see attraction, the water spraying up in the background, the mini cliff jump spot and cool fish to look at. I would recommend water shoes of some kind, and to bring a snorkel and goggles. Getting there is a bit tough and i would recommend a tour of some kind to get out to the spot. As a bonus the surrounding area is out of this world, it feels like you are on another planet!

This was one of my favorite experiences in Aruba. A must see. Note that you cannot take a 4 wheeler/ATV into the national park on a “self tour” you must have a guide or walk. We elected to ride up to a beach north of the pool and hike in/over to it. It was a great idea, we had a private 30 min hike all the way to the pool. Once there what is usually a busy spot for tourists, we had all to ourselves. The water was wonderful, crabs everywhere and plenty of fish to swim with. Bring a camera, water shoes, and enjoy the pool.

  • 4/5 steve 3 years ago on Google
Very crowded, never lets up ever. A great deal of garbage gets left behind and the rocks have a slippery mixture of sunscreen, human debris, and algae. In the 1990's it was pristine, the pool was ecologically diverse, and area, much of the time, was secluded. The road was even accessible with many 2WD vehicles. Today it is a punishing and dangerous 4WD road.

Nice challenging off-road drive if you rent a jeep during your stay. Not for the faint of heart though so if you never off-road before might be a better idea to go on a jeep tour (with the bench seats where the locals drive a group) Definitely rewarding to make it yourself and the drive back goes much quicker

A little crowded but good snorkeling and a nice spot to dive. Look for the little crabs scurrying on the rocks as the waves crash around the protective cove.
