We were on our honeymoon when a small cut my husband had became very infected overnight. We had a great experience here. In short, very clean, quick and professional. No wait when we arrived and no wait for service. Saw 2 doctors and a nurse. Received antibiotics and pain mediation there and got a prescription for 2 more antibiotics. Walk in price $150, then service fees on top of that. Our total trip was about $350, not bad considering. Pharmacy near superfood was also quick and easy- $30 for two prescriptions. We even lost our invoice and I called from home and the receptionist emailed me one right away. Plan to submit this through travel insurance to have it reimbursed. If you have a non life threatening problem go here!!! and get back on the beach asap!

I suspected I had pink eye while on my vacation. Took a cab to the urgent care around 7pm and was out in 20 minutes. The doctor was fantastic, thorough, pleasant, and super helpful. Yes the payment was $150 which I was able to charge to my credit card, but she said I could email her a .pdf from my insurance company when I returned to the States if I needed more info/signatures for a claim submission. Can't say enough good things about this clinic. State-of-the-art medical equipment as facility. 6 stars.

To give this awful place one star is enough ! I was extremely sick the staff made me wait in a hot waiting room with major chest pains after they took my money of course . I waited about 3 hours only to not see an actual doctor but some very rude nurse that did nothing for me . Not even look at me . I hired an independent doctor who treated me at my hotel with no problems. Even the doctors there said not to go to this terrible hospital! The staff are rude , they don’t care , they sit around drink coffee and talk to each other while people are passing out , dying in the waiting room! This hospital gives Aruba a bad image a very bad image ! If sick , take my advice and get an independent doctor if you can ! It will save you money and your life ! Stay away from this awful place if you can . Their staff only care about money that’s it ! Not your health ! Stay away !

Went to a&e on Sun afternoon w/ neck injury due to head trauma, was seen relatively quick and taken care of well. Had a super quick CT scan, after some time a nice doc came to explain everything and answer millions of my questions patiently. Paid $1050 in total. Pre triage (nurse) is 175 AWG, physician consultation another 100, ER admission (if needed) ~400 + any tests you need on top of that. You can check their website for detailed pricing. Thank you!!!

I recently had a bout of food poisoning and was sent to their ER. It was hands down the worst medical experience of my life. The nurses were rude and condescending any time I asked for help. They refused to let me stay until I was able to keep water down and I had to beg for IV hydration. I, myself, am a nurse and I was appalled that any nurse would treat their patients the way I was treated. They raised their voices at me and refused to take my concerns seriously. They also misdiagnosed my condition as 'cannabinoid hyperemesis' despite having been Marijuana free for the past week and not a heavy smoker generally. On my way out, the nurses and the doctor were talking about meat the nurses station in a rude way, saying it was my nurse's punishment to have me as a patient. I believe my male nurse's name was Andrés. Very unprofessional and very dangerous for patients.

If there were an option just to write an opinion without giving stars this would be the occasion to use it. Last night my mom went to this hospital and the customer service was awful, she needed a revision in her eye because yesterday’s morning she felt like something behind her eye was coming to the front, then she couldn’t see for a brief second. She obviously needed to see if there was something wrong, the doctor just took her pressure and didn’t even bother to look into her eye, the doctor oduber just said she had a virus. Its pure xenophobia because my mom is latina.

Came there on a Saturday night after getting bit by an insect and everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. Being a tourist from another country was a concern at first but they treated me like one of their own. If you are in need of a doctor while on vacation please know that you will be taken care of and also not taken advantage of. They even gave me options to try and save us money. 5 stars all around. Amazing people.

We were vacationing in Aruba this August and found ourselves in an unexpected situation that required a visit to the emergency room. The staff were amazing! I would like to extend a great appreciation for nurse Gonzalez, as well as all other staff of the emergency room. She demonstrated a deep sense of professionalism and compassion, for which I was very grateful. Thanks to this positive experience, I have a great fondness for Aruba and will definitely plan future vacations here. Big thanks to Horacio Oduber Hospital!

Urgent Care Aruba is expensive and the service is not top notch. They lack empathy. They mis-informed the public. They are not 24 hours open. If you need medical attention while in Aruba I recommend Dr. Habibe or Dr. Beke by calling 743-1300. These are well experienced doctors who have been practicing general medicine for years and for a fraction of what UCA charge. I have been visiting aruba for years and I have always used Dr. Habibe or Dr. Beke. If you need only a prescription it can be called in at the Pharmacy. At UCA they will charge you 150 USD just to be seen and make unnecessary additional tests at an additional cost and you still have to go to the Pharmacy and pay for the prescription. What a rip-off

Ended up in the hospital here, gallstone pancreatitis on the 3rd day of vacation. They gave me an anti-inflammatory injection so I could get on a plane and get back to the US. The only knock I have on this hospital is that they do not use gloves to draw blood.

This hospital is great, if I could give them an unlimited amount of stars I would they deserve more than 5 stars. I'm here vacationing with my grandfather who's 88 and he unexpectedly had to go to the emergency room. All the staff are extremely accommodating and very nice and pleasant. I can't talk enough about how nice everyone is there. We live in the United States and sure there are nice employees at facilities but there's always one or two people who are unpleasant or just un friendly but not at this hospital. Everyone smiles at you in the hallways and is always willing to help if you have a question. One of the doctors or male nurses even walked me to the right floor when I was lost. Most people would've just given me nondiscript directions and then quickly gone on their way. I really appreciated him for doing that. Everyone really made me and my grandfather feel special. The last thing I'll say that made me love this place was when we were leaving to go back to our resort we had to get a cab but my grandfather had an accident and didn't have a clean pair of underwear or shorts so I figured I could just ask the cab driver if I could bring a towel for him to sit on or if he had a towel. He got really mad and refused to let my poor grandfather in his cab and started yelling at the hospital staff and nurses. I think they were defending us. One sweet nurse immediately brought him back inside and changed him and even gave him a fresh set of scrub pants and as we were leaving he looked so cute in his scrubs. I just can't stress enough how much I appreciated them for doing that for him. And I didn't even have to ask for their help with the cab situation they just did it. They seem to genuinely care for their patients. The security guards are very nice and helpful as well and the people I interacted with at the front desk in the emergency room clinic are very sweet as well. I even got a little short with them at one point because I was really worried about my grandfather and they weren't rude in return they just smiled at me and answered my questions. I wish I could take all these kind nurturing people back home with me. It's very refreshing having employees of an establishment be as nice as they were. They have definitely inspired me to turn up my customer service game when I go home and back to work. Thank you so much to everyone at this hospital you guys are amazing!!!

If you have forgotten your meds at home or your need medication for minor illnesses go directly to the pharmacy. The pharmacist will put you in contact with a doctor. I have good experiences with doctor Habibe 743-1300 and doctor Beke 588-0539. You will pay a fraction of what you would pay at the urgent care. The fee at urgent care is $ 150 USD. Why pay more if you have a cheaper alternative.

Terrible hospital, the emergency you come in pain and they look at you and send you back home, no ultrasound, no tomography and no MRI, they do not know how to do these exams only RX. Resident doctors are unprepared and no one to help. My son was sewn to the head and the young doctor there sewed without knitting the hair, and without gloves, terrible. A husband of a friend fell down the stairs hit his head and went to the emergency, arrived they made an RX and saw a crack in the skull and the doctor put him in observation ??? 2 hours later migrated brain fluid he fell into a coma and died, he should have been operated on immediately. A disregard for human life Very sad the medical area in Aruba.

Full hospital in the island, easy to reach and to park. Attention was promptly available at the admissions desk, we needed immediate dental assistance and they promptly recommended the only dentist on duty in the island in that day (it was Carnival weekend, and the hospital itself did not have dentist staff at that time).

I have more than an hour and a half waiting for a doctor to attend it, and they pass to patients who arrive after us because they do not consider the fact that my one-year-old baby is bleeding from the ear and may have a hemorrhage internal That disrespect, but to charge if they are fast, they charged me $ 279 just upon arrival. I think the attention is very bad (Original) Estoy en este hospital por una emergencia pediatrica, a mi bebe le está sangrando el oído a consecuencia de una caída. One star for a clean environment. Went to emergency room this morning (I fell on the wet floor). The nurse saw me, asked me what happened, gave pain killers and that was it. No X-rayn, not even a closer look at a swollen ankle (forget about manual inspection). All that costed me 75 American Dollars. Avoid this hospital if you can.

Quick and professional service. I had to wait for less then 10 mins to get looked at and I was out with a diagnostic and prescription in another 30 mins (ear infection for me). Cost was $150 USD for the doctor and the medical centre. They later emailed me a detailed report for insurance. I'll find out if the insurance company will pay for it but I suspect I'll have no problems. There is a pharmacy a quick walk down the road.

  • 2/5 Donnie W. 6 years ago on Google
Walked in, daughter had pink eye. They wanted $150 just to be seen. Turns out, you can call a doctor, they call in a script, and for $35 you get your meds. Surely you cannot do this for all cases, but for the simple ones, save money and ask your resort for the Dr. they are affiliated with. They get 2 stars because the facility is new and modern, but 1 star because they didn't offer the cheaper alternative.

absolutely disappointing experience. Coming to Aruba 25 years and annually last 15 with family and friends. Family member male 50's with cardiac history felt light headed and had chest pains to the point of collapsing on floor in restaurant. Waited for ambulance for 20 mins then drove to emergency room after no response. Waited in waiting room while others came in after us and left and we sat there for 2 hrs+... An absolute joke of a goat rodeo and completely changed my view of the health care services and safety of Aruba as a travel destination. Not even a 1 star ...

It’s been 2 hours and still waiting to be seen by doctor while waiting room is completely empty. He has been bleeding everywhere, has lost a lot of blood and all they have given him was a pad so the blood didn’t get on the floor. Worst hospital ever.

Quick, clean, up to date, and super professional. Family had an what turned out to be a scarry sounding but relatively minor emergency. They effectively took history and we saw Doc Y immediately. She quickly came up with an idea and ordered a some tests. We had a diagnostic, scrip, instructions, and follow-up directions all in about an hour. Doc Y was super friendly and did just the right amount of scolding to get my mom to follow directions properly. She was super greatful and has a super positive view of the doc. Definitely have Doc Y on my contact list for any future visits to the island. They generally could not honour off island insurance for obvious reasons. The prices for tests and visit were not cheap but about what would be a reasonable expectation. They did provide a medical certificate with I go for GP follow-up and insurance purposes. As always, if you are traveling it's good to have a Visa or MasterCard specifically with travel insurance built in, and then there is nothing to worry about.

Came to Aruba for vacation and ended up tearing the bottom of my big toe REALLY badly on coral. Huge flap of skin where blood vessels were showing and huge chunks of muscle and fat on the flap. Went to the ER and they said it was gunna be 5 hour wait. Went here the next day at 8am and they had me checked in seeing a doctor within 10 minutes. The doctor did such an amazing job stitching me up. 7 stitches later and my toe was perfectly fine. Really can’t express how great she was. Highly recommend. And only paid 370 bucks for it.

Dr. Yagua was amazing, as were the other ladies at the front desk but I wasn’t able to catch their names. Intake for vitals was about an hour waiting time and the wait time to see the doctor was about 30 minutes. She saw me for a few minutes and was able to make a diagnosis cheerfully and she joked around with me (I prefer light health care like this), I got a shot and waited about 10 minutes for the prescription. Probably a total of 2 hours for the whole process, and then having to get the prescription filled was another story of course. Very thankful for the care that was provided for my horrible ear infection. Thanks guys! :)

I just returned from Aruba 2/1/19 and during my stay required the services of this urgent care. The facility was clean and service was quick, but the medical care did not meet USA standards. The MD that treated me did not ask what medications I was currently taking or any significant past medical history before treating me and prescribing medication. i am a nurse so I did feel safe taking the prescribed medication, but when I asked the doctor if this medication was similar to a medication in the USA, he just said "it's fine, it's fine." i requested a copy of my chart to bring home for insurance reimbursement and the nurse stated she would email to me in 48 hours. That was January 29, 2019. It is now Feb 3, 2019 and I still have not received it. I think I will seek care at the hospital's ED then this urgent care the next time I am in town if healthcare is needed.

Bad experience here last week. I was misdiagnosed with shingles and the female doctor was very condescending. The place was very clean and high tech but would not go back

Arrogant and insolent only care about money. We got one price on the phone and a triple price there.

Unfortunately a few days into my stay in Aruba I felt it was necessary to seek medical treatment for an issue I had been dealing with since prior to leaving the states. The fact that everyone speaks perfect English gave me peace of mind. Within 30 minutes I was back in a room talking to the doctor. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed because this would never happen at the local hospital where I live and work. I am a nurse and can confidently say that all of staff are very well educated and know what they’re talking about. I only spent an average of $500 for all of the care I received which included lab test, medication, and ultrasound and seeing the doctor. If you need medical care while in Aruba I highly recommend this place. You can feel confident being treated without having to break the bank! I can’t say enough good things about this island!

Currently working at the Urgent Care Aruba situated at the Noord Medical Center. Here you'll receive immediate medical care for the whole family at an affordable cost. We also included a Gynecology, X-Ray and Ultrasound Department. Great and modern environment.

The staff and doctor were very friendly and helpful. The offices were very clean, tests completed promptly, and the quality of care was as good as what we receive in the United States.

Website says this office opens at 11, but it opens at noon--sick and feverish people sitting outside in hot sum. Visit was efficient, but then you wait quite a while to "check out."" After 20 minutes I went back to the desk and was told 20 minutes more. I waited 20 minutes more and reminded the person at the desk that it had been 40 minutes since the visit ended. She said she still didn't have the paperwork. The doctor happened to walk by and said she had processed the paperwork. It took the two of them to find the paperwork in the already paid pile. After paying for the service we were told that there was only one pharmacy that was open on the whole island on this Sunday. They had a name, but no street address. It was a ways away. It's not fun to feel unwell on vacation, and the doctors were great, but the desk person, a disaster. Given a choice, would go elsewhere.

I had to go here to have an ingrown hair cyst drained. The care and doctor was phenomenal (she was super cool too) and it was affordable compared to care in the US. (approx $250USD).If i recall the facility fee was only $25. They did a wonderful job and followed up with my Primary who also said they did great work. Highly recommend !
