If you go out to eat at only one place in aruba let it be this one. The atmosphere is romantic and well put together with beautiful art and candle lighting finished with brick archways. The flavor of the food is incredible, everything is delicious and comes out hot. The freshness is unmatched. I would recommend it to anyone who goes to Aruba. The owner and waitress Annie is an absolute delight and wants to know that your dining experience is going well. The chef, Linda, came and asked us how everything was. Overall best dining experience on the island delicious food and world class service.

I would like to begin with Annie, most welcoming host we ever had. Her knowledge, her friendliness and attentiveness was outstanding. As soon as you entered the restaurant you felt the warmth of the place, and you knew you were in for a wonderful experience. Now to dinner and Chef Linda, the food was superb, the cauliflower soup, escargot, cod with shrimp and steak were excellent. Chef Linda is a delight, and not just with food, her friendliness and warmth shine thru. August 8 2023 was a memorable experience. We visit ARUBA every year and will now be our first stop. Thank you. When coming to Aruba put this restaurant on your list. The meal was excellent. The French onion soup was one of the best we have had. The Coq au vin, lamb ham, and pork chop were also delicious! Highly recommend. Great service, super cute, and amazing atmosphere! We were surprised it was not busier since the other people dining were talking about how great their meal was! You will not be dissapointed

The food was soooo good!! Onion soup was the best I’ve ever had!! Coq au vin delicious!! But the really cool thing was soufflés were on the menu. We couldn’t decide between the grand mariner and chocolate soufflé, so we ordered one of each!! Out of this world delicious! Great restaurant!!

The dining experience was nice as the setting is intimate and the staff of two ladies are very kind. My Coq au Vin was rather tasteless and I struggled to complete the meal while may partner’s duck breast was above average. Portions tend to be on the smaller side but prices hover in the high end restaurant range.

We came for dinner on a Monday, inspired by all the amazing reviews. Maybe our expectations where too high, because we found service, food and atmosphere rather average. We also experienced very long waiting times, before we got served our starters and also between the courses. Overall it was a nice experience but nothing to write home about.

Absolute perfection. From the service, to the appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. This is the absolute best restaurant I’ve had the pleasure to dine in. If you are looking for French fine dinning - this is it !!! I will definitely come back many times.

What a great meal I had at this restaurant. It doesn't appear to be that nice from the outside. Don't let that fool you. The inside is quaint and nice. The service was impecable. The food was the best of all the places we ate at on the island. We had the escargot as an appetizer. I highly recommend it. I also had the boulabaise, which was amazing. My main course was to the tornados au poive . The meat was tender and delicious. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation prior to your trip . You won't be disappointed.

An excellent intimate dining experience in downtown Oranjestad! The carpaccio, tuna tartare, tournedos, lamb chops and chocolate souffle were all delicious and perfectly prepared. Annie was a delight! Thank you for a relaxing gourmet dinner!

Simple and well cooked meal. If you are used to the JUNK FOOD, this place isn't for you.

Best meal I have had in years!! The service was amazing , the meal was cooked and presented beautifully and perfectly, the atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable, even if eating alone. I can’t say enough about this place. I travel the world for a living and I have to say this is one of my favorite restaurants I have ever been to. Thanks Chef Linda and Annie for such an amazing experience.

Absolutely phenomenal meal. The ambience is fantastic, the food is extremely delicious, and the service is impeccable. Best mocktail I’ve had, as well. Could not recommend enough.

We love Restaurant anno 1877 and we always have an excellent time there! The food, the service, the wine, the ambiance...we love it! And Chef Linda is always very accommodating with adjusting the menu for my hubby who is vegetarian. This time we enjoyed a Dutch asparagus dinner, which was delicious! ❤️

Outstanding. We had the escargot, french onion soup, grilled grouper, seared duck breast, and Grand Marnier souffle; sharing the appetizer, soup, and dessert. More than enough for two, and I can only say all were wonderful. Can't understand why the restaurant wasn't packed, given the excellent food and service at a comparatively bargain price. Our tab was less than $200, including a nice Bordeaux bottle and a cognac with dessert. Never expected to find a place like this in downtown Orangestad. But it took some digging, as it doesn't show up on searches easily, which is really too bad. Don't know how the Google search algorithm works, and I'd guess restaurants paying more probably get more exposure? If you like very good French oriented food, please give it a try. There are many other non-French options as well, but this was our last night in town, so can't comment. But if they can do classic French that well, I wouldn't hesitate. You won't be sorry.

Excellent service! Unique old world charm. I loved this place. Food was amazing. Service was perfect, couldn't ask for better. My husband ad I picked this restaurant for the menu and reviews. I don't normally write reviews but sometimes it's a must. This restaurant is an easy 5+ stars. You won't find a better restaurant in Aruba! Hurry and run to this place!

We went last night first time. The Food the Service and the whole fine dining . I had Escargot and Sick Breast , my husband had Coq a Van . The Creme Bulle and the Chocolate Molten , amazing. It truly will be a definite when we come back to Aruba.

Best restaurant in Aruba!!!! All the food was so delicious especially the onion soup and soufflé. The atmosphere is soothing and pleasant and the service outstanding! The wine list is long and thorough! Everyone should eat here!

My family and I had the best dinner we’ve ever had. Every dish we had was delicious and the staff was extremely kind. This restaurant has become our favourite and we would recommend anyone to visit when in Aruba!

It was a bit hard to find but don't give up looking for it. We found it next to the Police station in Oranjestad. It's in a historic home built in 1877. We were pleased to find a charming little restaurant with great food and wonderful friendly staff. I guess you could call it continental cusine. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. Save room for dessert as the souffle is delicious. Sadly we found it on our last night or we would have been return customers. The best food we had on our trip.

Anno 1877 is a lovely restaurant with delicious food and exceptional service. We had escargots, tender and delicious, the best onion soup, and a salmon in smoked butter and Coq au Vin. The Grand Marnier soufflé was exceptional. This is a perfect place to dine and celebrate! We highly recommend this restaurant! Treat yourself.

The evening's celebration for our 36th wedding anniversary was one to be remembered. My wife and I enjoyed an amazing meal in an historic house in downtown Oranjestad under the watchful eye of a fantastic waiter, Andres, while enjoying a excellent bottle of wine at a special table in the Chambre Reuben room. This is fine dining in the French traditional styling. We have visited Aruba many times and this is the one fine dining adventure you have to experience. The escargots were excellent. My wife's grouper was perfect. The rack of lamb presented flavors that I have never tasted before that were amazing. The soufflé is required. We had both the grand mariner and chocolate. Absolutely amazing. The service Andres provided was attentive, the wine list impressive (we found a Duckhorn Merlot), and the atmosphere special. Thank you Chef Linda, Andres, and Anno 1877 for making the evening so memorable for us!

What a charming place! Went last week and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the food and most of all the service. Both of the guys in our party had the Rack of Lamb and were blown away. We even got to try our first ever Mustard Soup, it was delicious. The place is a real hidden gem…a must try for all of you foodies!

Easily our favorite meal on the island. The restaurant is completely unassuming but the food and service were fantastic. Highly recommend the chefs tasting menu. We got to try everything! From the unicorn fish to the duck, every bite was incredible. We will absolutely be back!!!

Restaurant 1877 did not disappoint! With a party of eight to celebrate a milestone birthday, service was spectacular and food was great. I enjoyed a delicious cauliflower soup as a starter, wonderfully prepared coq de vin main and finished with crème brulee. Wine, atmosphere and a tasty meal made for a memorable evening. Finally, can not overstate how attentive the staff was to our every need. Excellent service.

Ok so we just got back from dinner and tried a new restaurant..”Anno 1877” one word fantastic!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant, from the decor of this old historic building to the sisters who work there and the chef who came out to greet us FANTASTIC FOOD. From the escargot to the veal scaloppini & then the soufflé, everything was excellent..definitely will return
