Sorry Travelodge but I did not have a comfortable night. The beds smelt badly. It reminded me of baby sick. The staff were excellent friendly and did me a good meal

I have been here for a couple of weeks now. I have experienced people banging on my door at night time. I asked to be moved and I also asked for cctv camera and they have none in the hallway claiming that there is always someone supervising the hallways although that’s not true as the hallway has been empty many times. I moved to a different room just to be awakened by a maid called Linda that rudely entered my room and stood there smiling whiles I was telling her to get out. It’s beyond abnormal it’s disgusting. I asked them to clean plates out of my room they told me they don’t move plates just to later knock on my door and bother me about the plates. I have never seen a group of maid so rude. As a woman I felt my privacy was violated and abused.

Room good size. The cleaner did not change my bed until after one week! Apart from that staff were excellent. The cleaner cleaned the room but didn't wash the cups! I would stay again but not for more than two nights.

Budget hotel at budget price. Clean rooms, friendly staff, breakfast okay for budget hotel, but you can eat all you can. But the heat of the rooms..... when travelling with two small children it was unbearable as they could not settle at all. I'd hate to think what it would be like in the height of summer. Also we stayed for 4 nights and not once was our room cleaned?? Back again..... The location suited us due to family and wanting to be Bromley Central Travelodge is a budget accommodation and therefore you must expect budget standards. However, given the times that are in it, unfortunatley there is a high % of the hotel given over to Social Welfare and this reflects highly in the standard of clientele. Not being snobby, but if you're happy with the site of many clients standing outside in pyjamas smoking all kinds then fair enough. That said we were told we were on the business floor where things were a bit quieter, which in fairness it was. However do you accept the strong smell of drugs in the lift and corridors(depends what you're looking for I suppose?!), and cleanliness of same areas with what looks like spit and other fluid in the lift. That said it was cleaned up soon after. Anyway if you can ignore all that, and want a cheap room with no frills, a decent enough breakfast and just somewhere to put your head down for the night, it is value for money. This is no Spa hotel and I'm sure the staff have to put up with plenty, and they are attentive, if a little frank. To be told on arrival that they will get another set of towels as there was a stain on the original ones?! ....but it served our purpose, pillows were hard, rooms as usual very warm, good shower, has a small bar(not used), vending machine, 5 minutes to town centre, bus stop outside, train station to London or Kent 10 minute walk Would I go back... probably will, for short stop overs where I just need somewhere to lay my head at night, but wouldn't bring the kids....

If you like a room that is like a sauna then this is your place. It was so hot I was sick, the shower flooded , the electrics tripped constantly, the day reception lady was so unhelpful, i hardly slept and couldn't wait to leave. I had to ask for a fan and even that didn't help. I will be taking my complaint further.

Thank you to Mat, what a front of house personality. Funny, attentive and customer service is 10/10. One evening he had so many issues as you do sometimes when on shift, but he did not stop untill every customer was happy and issues resolved. As a store manager myself, he is an asset to your team! He even stayed back one hour after his shift just to resolve these issues without any support! Thank you for making my stay memorable. And lastly I have to compliment the chef Lewis, fantastic customer service and bloody 10/10 food! Iv easily put on a stone since being here lol. The food looks great but even better tastes 10!10! Pleasantly surprised at the quality and standard of food. Travelodge most definitely are on a role with these 2 keepers! Fab personalitys and fantastic customer service skills. Well done boys. This review is well deserved, believe me, I don't give them out easy. Really well done I Will definitely be back.

The room was dirty, bathroom full of black hairs in the floor and dirty towel behind the door. Not been hovered! Complained to staff who already knew there were issues including the assistant manager on the following day. I was given an alternative room that was cleaner however I was next to a barking dog, somebody constantly coughing and doors were slamming all night! Not an inviting hotel, would not return and absolutely would not recommend! Shoddy, unfriendly and not a safe place for a single female traveller.

Awful. Bed not made, towels dumped in the room, cups not cleaned or changed. Very noisy at night (traffic noise). Just cancelled a June booking to be told 'no refund'. I wont be back!

Incredibly disappointed @ £159 for 2 nights you’d expect parking to be included or at least discounted. You also had to pay for Wi-Fi. The tv wasn’t working properly. The guy on reception said he’d come and fix it but never came. The area seemed ok but the shouting and banging on doors at 3am on both nights was unbearable it felt like a halfway house for people on the streets. Will not stay here again!!

London is a huge city so if you are not driving and relying on cabs and transit, this location is quite far from the heathrow Airport and quite costly for cabs. If you don't need a fridge microwave or telephone this hotel is perfect. The staff is great friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very clean an safe. I enjoyed my stay very much. All amenities are within walking distance.

Once again my wife and I were in Bromley for just one night and we decided to stay here having done so now twice over recent years, and it is so convenient as it is centrally located within easy reach of the town centre, restaurants and pubs. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that the decoration and decor of the place had been kept as pristine as we recalled from our previous visit; there was no deterioration at all. Check-in was extremely quick, and we had a room at the back of the hotel away from the busy A21 road that runs passed the hotel at the front. We found that the room was exceptionally clean, as was the rest of the hotel. We took advantage of the underground car parking and we thought that the price paid for a full 24-hours was very reasonable especially for the obvious peace of mind that it gave us. Checkout the following morning was just a matter of putting the room card in a slot at the Reception Desk. All in all we thought that it was a very good choice to have made, especially at the cost which was very, very reasonable.

*No security *Front of house staff would benefit from customer service training and need to take responsibilty for their errors *Disappearing hotel bookings *Customer safety at risk due to undesirable customers *Kitchen closes before time advertised *Carpets smell & deeply soiled *Numerous rooms have a really bad stench & instead of fixing the problem staff continue to put guests in the unfit rooms only to face the same cycle of complaints *Pet hair *Hygiene rating needs to be reviewed

This hotel is the worst place ever in Bromley, there was bed bugs and not good shower flow as well. We checked out after 3 hours, staff is super rude and not helpful.

Really friendly welcoming staff here, spotless, comfy room (just a little bit on the warm side). Only thing they can't really help is that the road just outside can be quite noisy during the night as a heads up. Food was really good also.

Now I’ve stayed in a few Travelodges over the years but this has been the worst so far….. The staff were rude and clearly didn’t want to be there. The breakfast was dry and horrible. It had been left under those heat lamps for far to long and the rooms were tired and unloved. WONT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!!

Dog hair in rooms.... sad as my son has an allergy. Some rather unsavoury characters stayed here.. staff hit and miss. Food service slow and never topped up. Rooms basic and clean.

Such a disappointment!!!! I love Travelodge's and stay atleast 6 times per year but lately the trips are becoming more and more shocking and I am seriously considering another alternative!! When I arrived at hotel I was greeted by Rosa and given key to my room the key did not work she tried it and it also did not work so it was changed. Got into the room; my room was presentable however the road noise was unbearable(the room was infront of hotel) so requested that I be moved to another could not sleep there and needed rest. To change this had to go downstairs I went downstairs however had to wait as there was no staff present. I was later informed there were only 2 members of staff on site (Rosa and Louis) they were both lovely and so attentive however they were incapable of keeping on top of if all issues.(my opinion) Rosa apologised and move me same floor but lower down (this was much better). As I started to unpack, to my surprise there was a loud noise (someone shouting) within the hotel and it got louder. I was so very shocked; I began to wonder where was I🤔. I complained and was told they would look into it however it persists so I tried to ignore it. The furniture(desk and table) was visibly dirty looked like not been wiped for days. I raised this and when staff(Rosa) wiped it the cloth was literally black appeared not to be wiped for some time. I was so displeased and contemplating leaving. I decided to take a shower and upon looking in the shower there was hair all over at this point I was almost to the point of having enough. As turned on shower water pressure was so low I had to scoop it with my cup as I needed a shower just so I could feel clean! After all those issues the deciding factor was the black stain marks(looked like streaks) on the white sheet when I saw this there was no way I could stay there. Although it was extremely late and I did not know the area I got my stuff and left. This was such a disappointment but there was no way I was staying!!!! Such a waste of my money!!!!!

Parking at £11 per night is ridiculous (local streets are permit parking only so no choice). Local area is rundown and noisy at night, room was hot so window had to be open but couldn't sleep with amount of noise outside. Hotel has a tired and run down feel to it.

Food was reallly great. The chef made an awsome spicy version of colslaw which went really great with the half chicken. Loved it. Thumbs up

Expensive stay for what it is, expensive parking not included, no air conditioning in the middle of a heatwave with no access to a fully opening window and not even any access to bottles still water!! Waited over 45 minutes just to get a bag of crisps as not trained staff. I want a refund.

Room was basic but very clean, breakfast was nice. Only down side was the cleaner entered my son's room 15 minutes before check out.

As others have said, it requires aircon in the rooms, however they are comfortable and exactly what you would expect from a Travelodge. We have had no issue with noise or antisocial behaviour. The staff are fantastic, especially Luis behind the bar and Neil on reception who made us feel really welcome. Management need to recognise these people because it is because of them that people are made to feel welcome.

Room was clean enough, warm enough and dark enough. No amenities in the shower but it was never promised so I don't feel let down. Paid extra for breakfast, it was okay, nothing special but all you can eat.

We had the worst sleep ever. A alarm on a house across the road started at 6am finished at 9am that's not all being woken up by people screaming and joking about right outside are window woke the whole family up. Plus its so hot . Had pillows with dirt on them and the windows are broken can't open 1 and the other is so bad it feels like it's going to fall out. Key card was messing up at Times. Some sockets worked some didint . We stayed here 6 years ago to be honest it was better then than it is now. I would of been better sleeping in the car for £11.99 for 24hrs is ok. but Travelodge don't own the car park so why can you get in there from the car park 🤔🤔 seems Corrupt to me . So now we have a 2hrs drive home and with having a really rubbish sleep it's going to be a hard drive home. We hope we never have to stay here ever again. 1 out of 10

OK rooms no aircon rooms very hot in the sun, USB sockets don't work next to bed, TV taken fron noahs ark, no towel for bathroom floor, floor gets really slippery after shower, but you get what you pay for definitely wouldn't recommend staying in travel lodge.

Wonderful stay, really good rate rooms, cosy beds. The staff were so nice, the breakfast lady, Romena, always smiling and chatty, the lovely young barman (Happy hour man), the Hotel manager Chairu & the friendly helpful Receptionists who all went out of their way to assist.

Pity there's no air conditioning, bed comfortable but the biggest let down was the size of the bathroom. Very cramped. Breakfast was good with the hit plate being refilled regularly.

  • 3/5 Gary C. 1 year ago on Google
For the price i paid plus parking cost the room could have been better no air conditioning no draws the shower was very slippery not good for my wife at least give a shower mat and the water drainage towards the bathroom floor which made the bathroom floor soaking wet the room was also very noisy through traffic outside but the staff were great and close to everything in Bromley and great breakfast all in all I would probably stay again but not for any length of time
