Great gym, went there during my short stay in Osaka for a one-day session which was around 2400yens. The staff is friendly and the gym is very well equiped with modern machines, the dumbells goes up to 100kg so you will find everything you need for an intense workout. If you come for a daily pass you should come during the staff’s working hours which is 11am/8:30pm during the week.

This place is amazing. Not very busy when I went around 6pm. Staff was very friendly and they have a visitor discount. The gym has a great bodybuilding vibe to it. They have 2 squats racks and a smith machine. They even play classic bodybuilding videos of Ronnie, Jay Cutler and more in the background. Highly recommend!

English speaking staff and state of the art equipment! Two floors with stretching area, foam rollers, free weights, machines, pulleys, squat racks, and benches. Loads of weightlifting videos for inspiration and motivation. Ample locker space and an insanely convenient walk from Namba station. Wish I knew about this gym when I was living in Daikokucho.

Nice clean gym with exactly what a travel weary gym rat needs. Decent equipment with reasonable amount of weight. Only down side was no power lifting area with room for dead lifts. But it was okay to just do RDLs inside the squat cage. A casual one visit pass was about $24 and they have multiple visit passes which brings a single visit down to about $12. Make sure you bring your passport as they will need to scan some form of ID.

This gym is available 24 hours a day and is clean and beautiful. It also has many high quality machines and well located near Namba station. It’s worth noting that this gym is available on a one week pass. So even when traveling, you can temporarily use the high quality 24 hour gym.

Super friendly staff. You can borrow belt and knee sleeves here too. I've been struggling to find a tattoo friendly gym and I'm so glad they are super chill about it

Amazing gym found on my travels. The location is great, and they allow for a day pass if you’re just stopping by the area and need to get a pump. The gym itself has everything you need, great equipment, and not to mention very clean.

My husband and I are on our honeymoon in Japan from Canada and maintaining our physical health is a huge priority for us. We ate tons of yummy street food in Dotonbori Osaka so we decided to hit up Torque gym to work it all off. The lady the front desk was bilingual so as English speakers we had no problem communicating with her. She was kind and courteous and gave us a free tour of the gym. Please make sure to bring indoor shoes, or they have shoes you can also rent. All the gym equipment was high quality and clean. I will be back, thanks Torque gym for your hospitality.

Firstly, having tattoos limited me to using gyms in Japan. Thank you for allowing me to still attend. Absolutely no issues!! It's an amazing gym for anyone looking for a bodybuilding gym or serious lifting equipment. Loved the selection of equipment, especially the CYBEX machines. There is nothing quite like them. Overall, it was a great couple of days spent there. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Osaka.

Really very good powerlifting gym with two squat racks, a smith machine, two bench press with safety, free weights up to 50+kg and a LOT of accessories. Deadlifting was good as long as you don’t drop it (and use the mats). DO NOT WEAR YOUR GYM SHOES until you get there - inside shoes only allowed (or rent some there). Was 66,000 yen for a week :) Would absolutely train there again

The best place to train while visiting Osaka! Has 2 power racks and 2 benches, dumbells up to 200lbs, and enough machines to get a full body workout in. There is a cardio and mobility area on the floor below also. An added bonus is that there are wrist wraps, sleeves, belts and straps available for use as well. Clean place and friendly staff. English speakers can easily get by here. Make sure to bring a pair of indoor shoes. Free lockers with locks also available for use.

Nice gym with new equipment next to Namba Station. They offer a visitor pass for 1 day or 1 week which is a great option for tourists. The 1 week pass is quite cost-effective if you go to the gym often.

I was in Osaka for a few days and was looking for a gym that would sell me a day pass. After checking out a few gyms in the area and not finding any that would sell me a day pass, I finally found this one. I can’t say enough good things about this gym. The staff are really nice and informative. They have all the equipment you need for a great workout. I’ll definitely come here again when visiting Osaka.

Great gym for any gym rats who want to get in a workout during a trip to Osaka. All the necessary machines and equipment are there, and the atmosphere is great. (Plus you get to see muscular men screaming inaudibly on tv)

Great gym for traveling! If you are traveling abroad, you can get a day pass or week pass with no hassle and can also be available 24 hours. The gym is quiet and has a great variety of excellent quality machines and dumbbells up to 220 lbs for any level. The gym is also kept very clean and equipment is put back where it needs to be Among the best gyms for convenience and a great workout🚀

If you’re looking for a spot for powerlifting in Osaka, this is it. Excellent facility, friendly staff and visitor policy, all the equipment you might need. 6th floor, make sure you bring indoor shoes!

Great gym facilities, clean and organized. Staff speaks English and are very helpful with the sign in process. They offer day passes for tourists, just need your passport. Change rooms come with a free locker to put your outdoor shoes. Indoor shoes are required for use of the gym. Will come here again!

As a tourist, this is one of the best gyms, if not the best, I’ve ever been in and I’ve virtually sampled them all in Japan. Access is easy, just come up to the 6th floor during staff hours and the front desk will sort you out. Price is under 3000 yen, which beats out Gold’s for a much better experience. Equipment is all well maintained and brand new. They have everything you’ll need: machines, heavy dumbbells, power racks, benches, cardio section, etc. Can’t ask for more, honestly. Go to spot if I’m ever in Osaka again, no doubt.

Great gym, everything you need to get a workout in while on holiday. Will be my go-to in Osaka. Plenty of plate loaded machines/two power racks, plenty of DBs

Traveler's Experience: Probably one of the most comprehensive gyms I've come across in Japan so far. This is a two-floor gym that has cardio, machines, and expansive free weights beyond 100 lbs dumbbells. Insight into the aesthetic of the facility, one TV is streaming classic body building videos featuring legends such as Ronnie Coleman while the other is streaming the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Don't let that intimidate you if that's not your vibe, the staff and fellow gym goers are super friendly. The goods: most essential machines such as lat pull down, machine row, ham string curl, leg extension, cables, as well as four squat racks, 2 competition-tier bench presses, dumbbells up to an insane weight (highest I saw when I was there was 140...), etc. Cool things include a hack squat machine, every lat pull down attachment known to man, and a stack of wrist wraps and SBD sleeves. No kidding. Access: day pass, week pass options, for an additional fee you can get 24 hour access. Otherwise, your guest access (regardless of day or week option) is only limited to staff hours. As others have mentioned, you need an indoor pair of gym shoes. If you don't have, you can rent from them. Showers and free lockers on site as well.

As a visitor, Torque gym has all the equipment you need for your workout. It has cardio machines on the 5th floor and free weights and machines on the 6th floor. If you are a visitor, come at 11AM when staff are here to assist. They have day, weekly and monthly passes available for purchase. Staff are friendly and quick to assist if you need help. Gym is really clean as it has disinfectant available at every area with a cleaning cloth at each station for you to wipe your machine.

I'm visiting Japan from Australia for two weeks and want to keep up my weights routine when I can. Torque met my needs. It's clean and had most of the equipment I needed including a Smith machine, dbells, squat rack. I got a visitor's pass for 2400 yen or about $24 AUD which is a similar visitors price I pay at home

Amazing gym with super friendly staff! The gym organisation is very good with specific areas of the gym set up for each muscle group, and a dedicated squat / free weight area. It has limited hours each for day pass / out of town folks, but more than sufficient to get the job done! It's super clean, and everyone is very respectful of the space. Visit if you're looking for a good bodybuilding gym!

I’m travelling through Japan at the moment and the following gym has been the best by far (BONUS it beats Gold’s Gym at price point for visitor passes). It has great equipment (Hammer Strength), provides a large variety of grip attachments, and uses steal plates to give an old school vibe. If you’re looking for a clean and well equipped gym during your travels I would highly recommend the following gym.

Finding gyms with single entry in Japan was pretty hard, but finally found Torque that’s even 24/7🤍 The place is extremely clean as the staff mopped the floor every 30 mins! Recommending this to everyone!

I recently visited the Torque Gym in Osaka, and I was really good. The gym is incredibly welcoming, exceptionally clean, and it's well-equipped for a great workout. If you're in Osaka and looking for a place to stay fit, this is a fantastic choice. Weight are on the 6 floor and the 5 floor is a fitness room with cardio equipment.

Firstly, I commend the high-quality equipment. Everything was like new. I also enjoyed the tidiness throughout the gym. This first visit was one of the best gym experiences I've had. The check-in/sign-up was very easy and quick. Torque is at the top of my list of gyms I have tried. With pre/post-workout nutrition available for purchase, this gym has everything necessary for an excellent training session.

This gym is awesome, and it would be my permanent gym if I lived here. It has a good free weight section with plenty of plates and a wide selection of dumbbells. There are also a decent amount of machines. Staff speak English and are very friendly and courteous. There are also shoes and towels available to rent, and there are private room showers available as well. Lockers are also no additional cost. Easily accessible from Namba station. Highly recommended.
