The place is superb. Beautiful walking space, amazing view with so many attractive surroundings. I never get bored being there. In the night, cruising the river gives wonderful experience. The ferris wheel is very unique and gives expanded dotonbori view from above. The shopping street is also very interesting, a lot of vendors offer very good products and varies one from another. I cannot wait to get back to dotonbori again.

Nice place to stroll along the river surrounded by restaurants and buildings with neon lights, especially if you come at night. There's also a boat ride service that takes you up and down the river to view the sights. Whether you are here during the day or at night, both still provides an enchanting experience.

It was very busy after twilight to late late night. Kinda place for tourist to hang out, enjoy the night. Overall it was a MUST visit area if you come to Osaka, but 1-2 times would be enough.

We took a 20 minutes "cruise" along the river. It was a very hot day but the boat we were on did have the shade open on one side. It was a great way to see all the different stores/restaurants. People are so friendly we were waiving at everyone on the actual walk.

Full of people 24/7 (we visited 3 times - evening, night, noon). Cool neon lights at night, and cool advertising sculptures. Lots of food too, but there were huge lines, so we walked for 3 minutes into the city to eat without a line and came back.

Make sure to visit once the sun has set, and don't bring children with you. It is decently crowded and somewhat easy to get lost.

The Dotonbori Riverwalk is one of its one-of-a-kind experiences in Osaka, lifelong memory of food joints and souvenir shopping. the complete area is accessibleโ™ฟ They have several bridges that cross over from one side to another and they serve a spit stops to gaze at the lighting and the cityscapes. Also canal boat ride is available.

I recently had the pleasure of walking along the Tombori River Walk in Osaka and it was a truly enjoyable experience. This pedestrian promenade runs along the Dotonbori River, offering stunning views of the city and a chance to explore the vibrant Dotonbori area.

Thousands of shops, cafes, and restaurants around here. Need a full day to spend in this area. Prepare money, stretch your legs, and get ready to have fun. BTW the tradition of countdown here is some people get on the bridge and then jump. Watching those active jumpers jumping into 1 degree freezing cold water is superb and fun!

Lots of nice dining places along the board walk. Even better as the sun sets / during the evening to see all the billboards lit up.

Great place to stroll and soak up the smells, sounds, and overall vibe of Osaka. Plenty of outdoor dining and drinking options with views of the river. Perfect for people watching.

River walk is definitely a must! We came in February in the morning (9-11AM) and the streets were empty. There are public restrooms along the walk but rather small. There could be a long queue during peak periods. Rmb to turn around once you reached this point. Not much activity on the right side of the map.

The path beside the Tombori River is one of the most pleasant walks to take, whether by day or night, alone, with family or friends. There are boats that can be rented if you want to take this trip on the river. There are many riverside restaurants and bars too. And at the end of the year, the Christmas atmosphere and the decorations make the place very romantic. But be careful not to confuse Tombori with Dotonbori. They are two different places and most of the tourists who don't know this make reviews referring to the wrong places changing the regions.

A mandatory stop in your trip to Osaka. Make sure to take a walk by the riverbank. In order to access it, very likely, you will have to go through a business or near one of the many bridges they have. If you stand by the riverbank or one of the bridges, make sure you wave goodbye to the passengers on boats, and if you are such passenger, wave goodbye to them, too.
