You can go to top, it's outdoor to see city view with free if you use Osaka 1 day pass. You could go on 35F and take on escalation to 38F. Really beautiful view. The sky is gorgeous. You can see the light of Osaka night with the path full of illumination stone. It’s really like walk in the sky full of stars. I wonder how beautiful view if I came at sunset.

Fantastic 360' views. Chose to go there at night to see the city lights and I was not disappointed. The view from the bar/cafe was amazing, then I went to the top open deck. Tickets are reasonably priced but if you don't want to go to the very top you can get great views from the 39th floor and it's free to get there. Well worth a visit.

I was visiting Osaka and the building peeked my interest after seeing the observation deck from my hotel room. Found out it had amazing views so I took a trip on a Friday. No wait, no lines, no hassle. Inexpensive and they also have restaurants up top. I’m not a fan of heights at all so my trip up top was short & sweet. They also have a museum upstairs as well. I paid 4,000 yen for two.

We went for sunset. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day so didn't get to see the beautiful sunset. But still a well worth experience.

The elevator ride on the way up coupled with the escalator in the sky was my favourite part of this experience. It almost seemed unnecessary to pay to go to the observation deck. We did see some great views after paying to go to the observation floor, but if you're tight on cash I would still add the Observatory to your list, but just enjoy the elevator and escalator for free. I do recommend going at dusk so you can see the city transform from day to night.

Fantastic view of Osaka!!! You all see sunset and panoramic scenery of the city. Also, during the night time, lights of the city are very impressive.

Free before 4pm but the views are probably better at sunset / night time. Slightly confusing to navigate but go to the East Tower, go up the lift to floor 3, then swap to the see-through lift up to floor 45, then take the escalator up to the indoor observatory. (This is where you can pick up your engraved hearts if you have already pre-ordered them) You can then take another small lift up to the open air platform. At night time this platform has UV lights which light up space patterns on the floor.

It is a beautiful building and the view is beautiful. However, it is a little disappointing to pay 1500 yen to go. It is a system where you go up by elevator from the 3rd floor, pay the admission fee, and go up one level further. If I go again, I think I will come down after getting off the elevator and quickly looking around without paying the fee. The restaurants in the basement are prettier than I thought. nice to take pictures.

Impressive building with very good view. Enter for free with Amazing Osaka Pass. You can also went to the open view 360 rooftop observatory deck but it was very windy and high. Not for faint hearted. The see through escalator goes from 35th to 39th floor. This place is very crowded so have to q to go up.

Gorgeous modern architecture with great views of the Osaka skyline. Be prepared to line up for entry though! We went at 5ish and waited for about 40mins to go up.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Osaka. There were great open-air 360° views of the city and out across the bay. Entry was a bargain and there's a nice cafe at the top too. We visited mid-afternoon during the week and the queues weren't bad at all.

You can buy souvenirs and sit at a coffee shop up there. It's a great view, especially before sunset.

One of the best places in Osaka. Beautiful view of all sides of the city. It is good to be here for a golden hour, then to have a break ( there is a coffee & restaurant on the floor below the roof) and come back to the roof at the sunset and even stay untill the night view.

  • 5/5 K R. 9 months ago on Google
Very nice view from the top. Restaurant had some nice refreshing drinks. Although the floats have a bit too little soda and too much ice.

It was very cool and had very good sights, maybe it was a little expensive but it was worth it. In the observatory there is a cafe to drink while watching the views of the city of osaka. When going out we noticed there was a roof floor with better views.

Best time to go is at 17.30 so you can watch the sunset at around 18.30 and wait until 19ish to see the night view of the city. They have a nice lounge where you can sit and enjoy your coffee or matcha latte.

Nothing more than just an observatory. The design of the building is quite interesting and it would be nice to chill atnight while enjoying the sunset there. There is even a clock stating the time of the sunset. The ticket is quite expensive if you don't have the osaka amazing pass. The more informative side is the design process of the building itself with a lot of the thought process being document. This spot is more towards chilling rather than sightseeing as I believe it is more comfortable than other sight seeing spots that i have experienced. There is really nothing much to see other than the view which makes it kind of lackluster and doesn't justify the price. On a side note, there is an anime shown in the observatory which is kinda touching and makes you feel more connected / relatable to the construction of the building. Staffs are very friendly and the place is well kept. Final verdict - not really worth the price for the entertainment it produces other than the views it provides. It is a place more to couples to take their leisure time drinking beer while enjoying the sunset from the top of osaka.

A great observatory over Osaka, a bit expensive but the view from above is wonderful, it's recommended to come at sunset time and go up to the upper open roof floor

  • 5/5 Jakob W. 6 months ago on Google
Definitely worth a visit on a sunny day. You can see the whole city. During the week it was not crowded at all, you just have to wait a few minutes for the elevator.

  • 5/5 Suzanne Y. 6 months ago on Google
I wanted to visit the observatory at sunset, but due to scheduling, we arrived after dinner. It was still a lovely experience! The weather was nice, wind is chilly. We couldn't take much photos in the night, but still enjoyed our time. It is a long walk from Osaka station, so beware.

One of the best night city sight I have ever been in Japan. At the top of the Sky building, you get to see the Osaka bay area and the sunset is fantastically beautiful. Get your tickets and go up there before sun down.

A great spot for observing Osaka from above. Make sure you sip a match tea at the top while enjoying the views. It may be necessary to line up before entering the lift to go to the top but it goes fast.

Nice view but we were there when it read pouring down rain. If was still cool but just can't see much. Do check out the food street at the basement because the food is actually very good.

  • 3/5 Tony C. 5 months ago on Google
Not much view to see. The South view toward the Namba area is now blocked with a new to come high rise building. It is included in Osaka Amazing Pass though for free admission.

This place had some pretty spectacular views of Osaka, and the facility was clean. We went during weekday lunch and it wasn't too busy, so we were able to buy tickets at the venue. There was a love heart locket that you could reserve and buy that's cute for couples to do, and you lock it up on top of the observatory. It was pretty windy on the outside portion, so I'd recommend not wearing anything that'll fly off easily or thin skirts.

Went at night for skyline views and less crowds. Cafe items were reasonably priced so it's nice to have a little sit down hang out here. No ticket lines at evening so booking in advance is not needed if you suddenly just thought of going. There's an open air deck with elevator access. For those with fear of heights, there's not a lot of sheer drop views.

Although this is not the tallest view you can see in Osaka but to me, this place offers a better view than the taller building Harukas 300. This place is not just about the view but also pleases those who love architecture too. The garden below is also beautiful and unique. To reach the top, you just need to follow the sign, get on an elevator, escalator, and then walk up 1 floor (elevator is available for elderly, children, or disability). There is a cafe and souvenir shop and a small exhibition about architecture around the world as well. If you have time, there is an art museum on the same building, featuring artwork that symbolises Osaka.

Won't lie, $30 per person feels a bit much for scenery. My BF and I were there maybe 20 mintues. Although I did love the mini museum featuring other towers from around the world. P.S. If you want to do the lock hearts, you need to book in advance apparently

A must place to add to your to do list in Osaka. Roof top gallery provides a clear view of Osaka and surrounding. You can often see planes arriving or departing from near by airports. Sunset time is highly recommended.

We didn't go on the top. You could go on 35F and then take on escalation to 38F. It's souvenir shop and can see city view with free. If you pay 1500yen, you can go to top, it's outdoor.

This is an observation deck from the 40th froor of the Umeda sky building(two connected skyscrapers). Definitely worth the price of admission(1500yen) .A superb view spot that is approximately 173m above the ground where you can enjoy the cityscape of Osaka.

  • 5/5 Amit S. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent view of Osaka ftom the 40th Floor. It cost ¥1,500 But it is worth it. There is a cafe and the top floor is open and round What more you need in life, my friends 😄

Nice place to chill and enjoy the view of the city. Not a whole lot to do but at least there is some art to look at as well. I'd recommend coming to see the sunset. Unfortunately it was a very cloudy day when I went so it was a bit hard to admire the sunset. Photographers would love this place! Chicks, please don't wear a skirt as it is windy here and you'll have a fashion faux pas 😅

  • 5/5 VICTOR D. 2 years ago on Google
It was a little tricky to find this place. It's behind the Westin hotel. In the west tower, you'll have to take an elevator all the way to the 39th floor to get a ticket to see the observation platform

Great experience to get and be in the top of this building, a must to do in Osaka.

Nice view at the top. If u have a couple and want a sweet date this place is The place to go. The high place and adrenaline and lovelock(or whatever its called) will make ur love eternal. Also have coffee and light snacks at the top with reasonable price. The focus on engineering is very light, with basic architect drawing. So not for those nerd engineering enthusiasts .

I was here morning and evening time. I recommend daytime, because Osaka is so silent and light from this place. It was amazing. Also, you can see all details. Great place for first meeting with this city ☺️

It was a bit fancy experiences at the sunset time.which I would remember for long long time

  • 4/5 Dilesio M. 1 year ago on Google
This view there was beautiful, and it was a great place to take a break and just take in the view of the Osaka skyline. It was a little hard to find the entrance, but I'm glad I took the time to figure it out. It was definitely a nice place to take a break from walking around all day. I'm not sure it's an experience I would pay full price for, but I recommend it if you have the Osaka Amazing Pass so you can get in for free before 6pm.

As far as observatory, top of skyscraper lookouts go, this is pretty average. The lookout is very high up, but the actual platform is set back far from the edge, so you don't get to appreciate the view of the streets below you. The price is pretty high and once you're in you can even buy one of those love locks to hang onto a custom rack on the rooftop.

  • 4/5 Darren S. 1 year ago on Google
Great panoramic views of Osaka from this roof top vantage point. A good glass ride up to almost the top, and then a slow escalator across and up from one side to the other. Great photo opportunities and a good little gift shop.

  • 5/5 Stephen S. 1 year ago on Google
Great views of Osaka. Minimal waiting other than queue for elevators. Best time to go is around sunset for great day and night views

  • 5/5 Toh Hun K. 1 year ago on Google
Free if u purchased the osaka amazing pass. Quite worth it as the sights are beautiful. There's a cafe up there as well.

Excellent 360 degree view from the top. Went during midday but night time view must be even better. Start or finish the day with it. Have a coffee and enjoy the view!

  • 5/5 Alicja B. 10 months ago on Google
Great views and affordable price. We came in late afternoon on the weekend and had to wait for around 7-10 for the elevator. Below the observation deck there is also a restaurant. I wouldn't recommend a visit on a rainy day.

Great experience here in Umeda Sky Building/Kuchu Teien Observatory! I love it so much, the building is beautiful. The architecture is amazing 🥹 We need to take the lift up to level 3, and then walk through the connecting bridge in the middle to the observatory. There we’ll take another lift up to level 35, & then the famous elevator up until the observatory 😄 All the employees there are really helpful. I kinda got lost at first but a female staff that’s currently cleaning the outside of the building guided me until the lift, thank you so much 🥺❤️ There’s lots of seating area inside, they also sell drinks but I’m not sure about food. It was nice to have my breakfast there with the view of Osaka. Spent some time here just to watch the city in the daylight from above.

  • 5/5 Maciej P. 11 months ago on Google
Simply breathtaking view of Osaca. Worth every penny paid, which I definitely recommend by night since I am not sure how the view could be any better at daytime. You can also catch some views from the elevator which is free.

  • 5/5 Diana D. 10 months ago on Google
The elevator ride was a little scary but once you're at the top it's amazing to see the whole city! I went on a cloudy day and I was actually in the clouds! Super cool experience. So glad I went.

  • 5/5 Sander van V. 10 months ago on Google
Great observation deck! The way to the building is now more like a construction site than a nice walkway but nothing visible when you are standing on top. The surroundings are really great and fun for an hour to stay up here. There is a small museum kind of room where some explanations can be found regarding the construction of the building. The views are good, but to take proper photos, especially after the sun set, you need to have a decent tripod.

  • 5/5 Dana N. 2 years ago on Google
Really beautiful view. Like everyone else says, it's best to come during sunset. The sky is gorgeous. If you come in the winter, come prepared with some warm clothes. The ticket to enter the observatory place is ¥1,500. They've got the little love lock fence where you can buy a lock and lock it to the fence, although I don't know how much they cost. They have a gift shop up there with some souvenirs andna lot of Japan themed goodies. They also have a cafe so you can make the most out of your money by chilling inside and enjoying the view.
