Don't waste your time and money with this restaurant. Our food was stale and burnt, the woman there was rude with an attitude problem and we were overcharged, they went out of their way to update their 'new price' after complaining. They'll end up charging you more than the menu they have using an excuse "that menu is 2/3 years outdated, our updated prices our online" only for you to check online to see that the prices online don't even match with what they are charging you. Food: We ordered a garlic cube steak and a beef rib teriyaki both came with rice, miso soup and a salad. Beef rib teriyaki was burnt to black, garlic cube steak was stiff as a rock and the sauce was awful; taste was sour and didn't have any hint of garlic as advertised. The rice that came with both dishes were cold and the miso soup was way too salty than what it should of been. Price: Initially when we saw the price of the garlic cube steak and the beef rib teriyaki both were priced $19.99 and $18.99 online. We decided to pickup the food since it was relatively nearby. When we had reached the restaurant and paid, the receipt we got back charged us $46.31 instead of $44.05 meaning we were charged an extra $2.26. We didn't notice this overcharge in the order until when we decided to order an extra eggplant from their menu which costed $4.99($5.63 HST included) but realised we were being charged $7.90(HST included). Both our receipts did not include a breakdown of the cost of their items so when we asked if we could get a breakdown for the cost and why we were being charged more than what was stated in the menu. They said their menu was 2-3 years outdated and told us to look up their prices ourselves online. This is a restaurant that can't even be bothered to update the pricing on their menu for 2-3 years. Later on after complaining to them about the food and the prices over the phone, as we had discovered that the price that we were told to check online did not tally with what we were charged on the receipt. Less than 1 hour of our complaint the prices were somehow magically updated online. Below are photos showing the pricing of the items listed on their website before and after our complaint. Service: The woman there had a major attitude problem. When we decided to complain to them about the food she told us "We don't care, go ahead" Obviously it seems that they have no disregard for the quality of food they are providing to the customers. When we asked them why our beef rib was burnt to black we were given an excuse: "It's normally this colour, it's suppose to look a little bit burnt and we are not cooking Korean styled beef" You can check the pictures, but I think "a little bit burnt" is quite an understatement. Being overcharged is not the part that is ridiculous, it's the part where they are overcharging you for the quality that they are giving. Imagine getting charged $54.21 for a burnt piece of meat, steak stiff as a rock and cold rice. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this restaurant. You're better of finding a different restaurant.

For anyone who are planning to order from delivey app Please don't. I ordered 2 of "Daily Box 2" ($18.99) and garlic cube steak. They are coming with such a lack of amounts that is completely not worth of any money they put the price on. I chose as #1 - chicken teriyaki and sashimi 8 pieces of chicken teriyaki came and sashimi came witn such a weird colour. Pictures couldn't show, but it looked so dark. #2 - Beef teriyaki and shrimp teriyaki First of all, it came with salmon teriyaki, not beef. I have a salmon allergy. I would have to go hospital if I didn't notice. Garlic cube steak? .... for real. This cost 10.99 yet the amount it shows, not worth it at all. Not even taste garlic and tasted sour. I ordered this by ubereats and they couldn't help me anything beside refund for the wrong items. So if you are planning to get them from here by delivery, there are many other restaurants that gives better quality with decent price or at least worth of money you will spend for.

Sushi was really fresh but there was a very limited selection. It was also advertised as a "buffet" but there was no buffet, just the usual "order from an iPad" AYCE situation. Price was also pretty steep and the kids age only went to ten instead of twelve so I paid the same for an adult as I did for a twelve year old when most places she is half price.

Place in a great location in downtown Oshawa place is very clean. Very polite happy smiling it is a busy place because it's a good place we find that the all-you-can-eat provide you a variety to choose from the food is very tasteful tasty delicious and we keep going back again because the staff is great the sushi chef is amazing food is delicious again easy walk if you live in the downtown core on the weekends I believe parking is free so get yourself down there on the weekend if you can. They provide all you can eat or pick and choose and pay on the menu

Happened upon Osaka Sushi after leaving another establishment because it was too loud. Had a great meal and good service. Glad we were turned off the other restaurant and ended up at Osaka. Will return for sure!

I didn’t expect to find good sushi in Oshawa but this place is surprisingly one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to. My group and I got the 100pcs of sushi and were on the fence because the price seemed too good to be true. The rice to filling ratio (I feel like only true sushi lovers understand this) was perfect and the quality of the butterfish was the highest I’ve had. We were the only diners in the restaurant at the time so service was fast but the server was extremely kind and checked up on us once in a while, which a lot of places don’t seem to do anymore. Highly recommend this “bang for your buck” sushi place if you’re in the area!

Place is a mess. The salmon sashimi was very obviously old, had a stale look to it, and didn't smell fresh at all. When the server (pretty sure owner?) noticed we weren't eating it, she said she's charging us for it, and we politely let her know we wouldn't be eating this and shouldn't be charged. She blew up and literally called us crazy. My partner and I were shocked and couldn't believe she was saying these things infront of other customers. We felt uncomfortable and paid our bill and left, and as we were walking out she called us thieves and screams "we don't need your type of people here, don't come back"... No worries on that. Would highly recommend you avoid, and if you do find yourself there, get ready to feel uncomfortable!

This was the second time I've been here. The food is so good and fresh. Service is fast and helpful. Look forward to be going again.

Owner/server was exceptionally rude. I was unable to order from the "menu" and was forced to order from the "all you can eat menu" if I wanted to be served. I expressed my need to only order from the original menu and was discarded.

All you can eat was decent but the sushi could’ve been better. 6/10 Small place and I felt like I was being watched the whole time. Bathrooms were tiny and not much room. The sink is also super low I wouldn’t recommend or go there again Not wheelchair accessible either

We were 5 people going out for All You Can Eat sushi for dinner. All of our many selections were thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients and generous portions by a talented chef with pride and excellent skills. Osaka is Awesome!!

Went here to order sushi to go. Listened to the lady repeat my order twice to the chef as she punched in the price. After paying for our order we sat and waited for a few minutes then the lady says she undercharged us and still owe an additional $20. Which was outrageous and she demanded we pay now. refused to acknowledge the additional money owing didn’t add up. Before entering the restaurant I looked up and added the cost before hand and what was paid already exceeded the anticipated amount. The lady took great defence to being called out for being a liar. Twice she repeated the entire order out loud and I was shocked when she outright denied doing so. the lady refused to listen and would talk over you and interrupt you constantly. She would raise her voice if you tried speaking to her. Eventually I had to raise my voice to be heard but I that just made her louder. I don’t understand why she wouldn’t stop talking for a moment to find a solution to her error but wasted time arguing to deny full responsibility for her mistake and wouldn’t listen anyone. Wouldn’t refund either, She ruined my appetite being so volatile, she was so loud and seemed to have issues with communicating to people with respect. She also held food hostage unless we paid the extra $20. Then eventually gave up her fight and let us leave with our food. When I left with the food I later realized she took out food we were charged for. My mistake leaving so quickly without looking in the bag to see if she tampered with it. I just wanted to get away from the yelling. I doubt she would have gave us our paid for food if I called her out. The cashier is a liar, unprofessional and a thief. Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.

NY grandson said "2nd best sushi" he has had and he lives in Toronto. So best in Oshawa. Rolls are huge. Definitely enough for a lunch.

While they're close to home I honestly just can't justify going here when rainbow sushi up the road has drastically better prices and is VERY quick with their service. The fact that at rainbow I can get beef teriyaki with 5pc tempura including shrimp, 3pc salmon sashimi, 6 rolls (3 salmon, 3 cucumber) and miso soup and a salad for like $17 or $18 cash and there's nothing like that here and the closest alternative is just soup and salad with 2 sides for $24 and that still wouldn't include the third side just makes the place undeniably expensive by comparison Edit : So a couple hours now after having sushi with my girlfriend which was incredibly disappointing, we are both feeling unwell and I'm extremely stomach sick and nauseous. So I'm like 90% sure something wasn't prepared properly

Food quality changes every time I go here. My girlfriend and I just finished out meal, and we're so disappointed. We are honestly a little upset with how much it cost us vs the quality. I ordered California Rolls. I had so little crab that it tasted like I was having a cucumber roll. This really disappointed me because I used to come here just for the Cal. Rolls. The beef udon was okay, but the broth tastes a little burnt. I had a craving all day, and we spent more money than we wanted to and we were met with just okay food. Probably not coming back. Kind of wish I got my money back.

I love this place. I’ve been coming since ~2009. I’m pretty basic with my sushi orders but every roll I’ve had from here is fantastic. I mostly get takeout nowadays but it’s still delicious. Pic attached is my sushi…’s empty container. Couldn’t stop eating it!

Just had my first experience there tonight. I am very happy. The rice was nicely seasoned and lots of sesame seeds on my maki. Fish was fresh tasting, pablo was crunchy. The maki rolls were quite large, great value.

Slowest service I've ever encountered. They fill you up with all the other things first before serving you the sushi and sashimi. It used to be one of my favorite spots but sadly they have let it go. I'm a huge sushi fan and was very disturbed with their way to fill you up. Not worth the 40 dollars for all you can eat. It's a huge no from me.

Went there with my family just yesterday at 5pm, which was strangely empty (I guess the restaurant mostly do takeouts nowadays). The food came at very reasonable times and they were of high quality. No outstanding orders. It has pretty much everything you can expect from an all you can eat sushi place. My one criticism though is that the karaages were too small and didn’t seem to be done in an authentic way (me and my mother both laughed when we saw the karaages because it was just done badly). In the future would definitely visit this place again if I ever want some sushi in my area. I only went there yesterday and I already miss their food.
