    2nd Review (30 Nov purchase) * I decided to try the chicken again following my disappointment from last month. This time I went at 12h55. Same sale pitch - 10 mins wait for chicken. And it took more than 20 mins again. I don't think new girl excuse will fly again. This time though i got only 1 tiny chicken breast in my order of 16 pics of chicken. * During my 20 mins wait, there was one woman customer with no mask waiting in the store for 10 mins. Another one decided to dine-in and the staff did not request to see her covid vaccination status. The people of Oshawa would be grateful for Popeyes to enforce legal covid requirements to keep their customers safe in these horrible times. Best of luck to Popeyes' customers once omicron get a foothold in Oshawa. I have decided to leave this store from my take away list. ======================================================= 1st Review (17 Oct purchase) Ordered the fried chicken as takeout in the store. I was told it would be a 10 minutes wait. Unfortunately the 10 minutes wait dragged to over 20 minutes. Sit-in at restaurant are faster than that. Also, it would be great if proper hygiene standard was adhered to; such as washing hands after handling cash and before handling the food.

    Had the spicy chicken sandwich 2 weeks ago and it was way better than the other four locations I tried, probably because they fried the chicken right when I ordered because the chicken was steaming hot and it tasted fresh and was also really tender. Went there again three days ago and it tasted like the one every other location made, tough chicken, soggy bun and a very oily burger overall. You guys really need to be consistent with the cooking. The sprite tasted disgusting (it tasted more of water and sugar than actual sprite) so we told the lady and we got Fanta instead, the employee tasted the sprite and said it was fine, maybe he’s just used to the nasty taste. Check your fountain machine guys.

    I ordered 16 pcs family meal.. The size of the Chicken legs was a bit big with my thumb!! I asked the girl if its the regular size of a chicken legs and she said said it comes in different sizes but this small?? its really substandard chicken size!!! 16 pcs chicken and it fits in 1 box so imagine how small the chickens are..

    I visited Popeyes last evening with my friend for dinner around 9.30pm at this outlet. I really had a bad experience because the food was delayed for 20-25 minutes and when the food arrived they informed us to leave the store as it was closing hours. This should have been informed to us at the beginning while we were placing the order. However, we were asked to move out of store despite of we requested them to allow us to dine in for 5 mins and it was not the right time to sit and eat outside the store. Now talking about the food quality, the taste was pathetic and the chicken has the smell of burnt oil and the meat was undercooked and we had to dump the entire food. It was a nightmare to have this experience from Popeyes! It was my first visit to Popeyes and it was extremely disappointing. I will never visit Popeye's again in the future and I recommend people not to visit atleast this store because I had a bad experience and the money which we paid $34 was utter waste for 2 people.

    Went in and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich combo (no pickles) with a coke and fries and a side onion ring at 1:56pm. It took over 20 minutes to prepare the food and someone who ordered 5 meals after me received their food before me. When my order was "ready", they didn't have the onion rings ready so I had to continue to wait. Once ready, I was told "I put in a few extra onion rings for you". I left eager to get home (less than 5 minutes away). Once I got home and opened the bag, the onion rings were way undercooked; pale, soggy, greasy and batter falling off and by no means did I get "a few extra" nor would I want them if this is how they serve them. I'm not sure how they could even serve that! I feel like they rushed to pull them from the fryer as the rest of the meal was not waiting under a heat lamp. As if this wasn't bad enough, nothing in the order was "good"; the fries were cold, and the chicken sandwich indeed had pickles on it (which even my receipt says "no pickles"). I don'd mind waiting for food when it come out fresh, hot and correct, but this was none of the above.

    Sorry to say we found this location very dirty… floors were sticky and dirty… my shoes stuck to floor then I looked further and noticed the floors were dirty in a number of areas and tables were also dirty and not cleaned up. There were only two customers seated and we were only ones there ordering takeout. I mentioned it to the employee that took our order and she looked at us like we had three heads… as if it was wrong to point it out that maybe someone could come out from behind counter and tidy up. If they allow that much dirtiness to show for patrons to see then I don’t want to think about what it is like where food is prepared. We really lost our appetite. So needless to say between the unfriendly staff that really didn't seem to care and the dirty atmosphere… our family will not be back.

    Came here at 9:40 pm, the store closes at 10pm as per the print out outside the door and google. There were still serving. The person says they don’t take any new orders! We close at 9:45. Then write 9.45 pm as your time! NOT 10:00 pm!!!!!

    Asked for 4 orders of the Thursday special and specified one should be spicy. I came home and of course they didn't label the spicy one. I'm unsure at this point if they even made one of them spicy. Also, I asked if it would be possible to get a thigh or leg in substitution of a wing. Other locations don't have a problem with this request and seemingly at times will do it without me even asking when I've forgotten too. The person serving simply said they don't do that. Just not great customer service and a poor experience overall. Oh and I couldn't even do a survey if I wanted to because a receipt was not placed in my bag.

    It was really good location for me to eat fried spicy chicken. Very nice staff and location too. I went there many times this location but for last i was really impressed with food and management. I heard Manager is changed now so there improving service and food Quality. At the end i was really good time with friends to spend your valuable money at right location with tasty food. I loveeee spicy chicken sandwich.

    I recently visited Popeyes Chicken with high hopes for a satisfying meal but ended up deeply disappointed and frustrated. My experience was marred by multiple issues, ranging from receiving cold chicken to encountering rude service. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Popeyes and will be exploring other options for my chicken cravings. Upon ordering a 16-piece family meal, my expectations were for a delicious, warm feast. Unfortunately, that was far from reality. Out of the supposed 16 pieces, I was given 10 pieces of cold chicken. Dissatisfied with this, I kindly requested the employee to avoid giving me cold chicken when she was preparing the remaining six pieces. However, despite my explicit request, I was still handed more cold chicken. This lack of attention to my request demonstrated a clear disregard for customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, the customer service I received was abysmal. The employee responsible for serving me not only failed to meet my reasonable request but also displayed a rude and unprofessional attitude. Even before I approached her about the cold chicken issue, she gave me dirty looks, which was both uncalled for and disrespectful. Such behavior from an employee is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the overall customer experience at Popeyes. Additionally, the composition of the meal was highly unbalanced. I discovered that my box was filled predominantly with drumsticks and wings, leaving me feeling cheated in terms of variety and value. The lack of assortment in the chicken pieces further added to my dissatisfaction with the entire experience. As someone who had planned to celebrate a birthday party with Popeyes Chicken, this experience was not only disappointing but also left a sour taste in my mouth. I expected a reliable and enjoyable meal, but instead, I received cold, inconsistent chicken, encountered a rude employee, and faced an unbalanced distribution of pieces. In light of these significant shortcomings, I will not be returning to Popeyes. Instead, I will be exploring alternative options for my chicken cravings, such as Mary Browns or churchs chicken. Popeyes has failed!!!!! to meet the basic expectations of a customer, and I cannot recommend it based on my personal experience.

    Stay out withch location. They are cheaters and horrible at customer service. I ordered 10 chicken pieces and when I come home I had only 8. I didn’t go on that day to complain but today I went there to order again. I informed about the past bad experience. They girl who took my order did care at all. I can remember she took my previous order as well. Strange thing is she didn’t even bother to apologize for her mistake. So, people who go this restaurant please make sure that you got what your ordered. Otherwise these cheaters will steal your money.

    We went to popeyes at wilson road oshawa today and it was a super disappointing experience i ordered the special for saturday which is the chicken wings i get 10 pcs and the one that they give me is so hard that my kids cant eat and it look like it was cooked about maybe days ago and smelled like its almost about to spoil. I called the store spoke to the manager and tell him of our experience and he offered to exchange it for 2 pcs chicken? Imagine the agony of driving back spending gas to get to their location just to get the 2pcs replacement for the chicken that they gave me that is so bad. Would not recommend to come to this store for popeyes you will only get disappointed.

    Stay away from this location. Love popeyes never had a problem until I bought uncooked chicken from this location. Staff need proper training, no customer service skills. Did not offer a refund, this could've made my whole family sick. 🤮

    Horrible customer service and no logic. I placed a mobile order for immediate pick up at 4:52 pm and my daughter showed up 20 minutes later. They keep saying they don't yet have the order and maybe come back after 90 minutes as they may have the order by then. Even though we showed them the receipt and offered to show them the order on my app, they will not fill the order and said they cannot do so until they get it. I said refund it then when you get it and the manager said he can't do that either. Save yourself the hassle and go to another location instead.

    Food is generally made well & is tasty but the wait time is frustrating. We've been to this location a couple of times & each time the wait time was long & frustrating. Otherwise we like this place when we're in a fried chicken mood.

    I placed an order online to the Wilson Taunton store, i went to pick up my food, the store was closed for renovation. I asked the staff cleaning the store, they couldn’t help. No customer service number to call, you can only send them a message which would take 24 to 48 hours. I just don’t understand how they’re letting people ordering at a closed location. I just had 30 min lunch break and im starving. Not only I have to go back to work with an empty stomach, i don’t eve know how to get my refund

    Ordered a nuggets meal and was not impressed. Firstly, once I placed the order. The cashier went to the back and said something to the cook, as I watched and looked on. The cook was about to take use his hands to put the frozen nuggets in the fryer when the cashier said something to the cook and he took up the thongs to pick up the frozen nuggets. That was one issue I have. Don't these employees have proper training to understand the issue of contamination? It makes me wonder how often do they change their oil? And how they handle our food when we are not watching... These employees need to follow proper protocols when no one is looking not just when someone is watching. Once the cashier observed I was watching them, the food handling protocol changed. Once I collected the meal and went to my car to taste the nuggets. I was not impressed with lack of flavor again. I'm not sure what is going on with the batter they use to put on the chicken, however it was definitely missing. If you look sketchy workers and bland food. This place is for you. Restaurants need to step up as food prices are increasing everyday. Invest in your reputation and consistently produce the same quality and favorable food no matter which location a customer goes to. My too sense again. These chains need to step up and ensure their quality control people are holding the chain locations accountable to produce consistent good food. Otherwise, it will hit their bottom line. This is a turn off. And I will not be back to this location, first and last.

    Staff was amazing, the young lady was very attentive thing order. I asked for hot, blackened, ghost pepper sandwich. Did I mention it was hot, followed by a really hot dip, which made it hotter Just the way I like it

    I love their chicken. Not greasy, lots of flavour. Good size portions. My husband got the bucket for Mother's Day. He and I had a good feast for two nights. This is the only chicken I will buy.

    Visited the store, lady at the front seemed not interested at all. Did not feel welcomed! A smile or providing info on the menu is free, servers should learn! There was a Monday special that I saw after exiting the store they front counter help did not say anything. The two ladies were more interested in their personal conversation then the customer

    The employee in the back wasn’t wearing a mask, I also refuse to wear a mask. When I went to place my order they refused to serve me due to me not wearing a mask and I asked why they didn’t have to and I was told they are 6ft apart. Well I’m on the other side of the counter and your employees are leaning over cooking food with no mask. I have no issues with not wearing masks while working in a hot kitchen but don’t then refuse to serve me because I am not wearing one. I will never be back to this location.

    I ordered my food online for pickup (with a 30 min buffer) I came to the location for the pickup time & they hadn't even started on my order. The employee lied to me and said she had just recieved my order. What's the point of ordering online if the food isnt ready on time? She refused to help me and said I had to wait an additional 15 mins. She was being kind of rude too. I've been to many locations and haven't had an issue but this locations employees work at a slower pace. Definitely not impressed. My advise to others? Don't bother ordering ahead and if you can, avoid this location overall. 0/10 I would not recommend this location to anyone.

    Diksha worked at cashier need customer service training. I have ordered spicy chicken. However she gave me mild chicken instead of spicy. Chicken tast was soo bad. She constantly argued to prove me wrong. Very bad experience overall. Very disappointed with customer service. Manager please train your staffs

    Have a 15-minute or less waiting time for your order. I prefer to wait and have fresh items rather than eating a hard meat chicken. I usually come at night, so it's understandable that they don't have enough cooked items.
