We had the most incredible meal at a tasting menu this summer. Such bright, fresh local flavours! My favourite dish was this lovely beet spread with homemade tofu. I don’t even like beets that much but I was very inspired by this dish! We loved hearing all of the info about where the ingredients came from and how the dishes were prepared, the owners are so passionate and it really comes through in the care they put into each dish. The portions were big for a tasting menu as well, we actually ended up taking most of our pizza course and a dessert course home to enjoy later. We’re really looking forward to coming back, I’ll make sure to bring some Tupperware with me next time! 😂

Very unprofessional with communication, as a new small business I would not be using swear words through a fb messenger app. I also would not be confirming orders through that app and blame the customer for your expense on day care. Offered to still pay for the one item for the inconvenience because I did not see your msgs. I see from reviews that this has happened before. I was willing to try it out again and pay for the one meal I missed however, the negative vibe and rudeness i will not. Also after messaging over a computer screen they decide to block.

The chef here is so talented with his presentation, skill, combination of flavours and creating delicious sauces that made me want to lick my plates if I were not in public. The chef should be known as the sauce king of the universe. We are not vegan but with all the delicious food we had, we could be. We had the 8 course meal on Valentine's day and had so much fun tasting the variety of flavours and locally sourced food. Lindsay was our server and very friendly and kind. The drinks possibly could be improved in terms of taste but otherwise we had a perfect and memorable dinner that I've been telling everyone about! Out of all our dishes, all of them were perfect and amazing except for 1 which was too salty but still this place is very deserving of 5 stars!

How have we never eaten here before?! Had the 5 course tasting menu - what a phenomenal surprise! Each course was presented beautifully and tasted even better! Service was amazing, hearing about each course was wonderful (locally sourced food), and just an overall amazing evening. Portobello Road is now in my top 2 favourite places to eat in Durham!

Portobello Road is one of my favorite places to eat in Downtown Oshawa. Locally sourced produce and seasonal ingredients are used for their delicious menu! They offer pizzas (better than non-vegan in my opinion) and have my favorite in Durham (Dill Pickle Pizza) you won’t be disappointed! They just started indoor dining and take out with pastas, bread, salads and dessert. Their Sticky Toffee Pudding is unbelievable you’ll need one per person because you don’t want to share. 10/10 must go. Don’t be scared of vegan it’s delicious and healthy!

Simply amazing food. The depth and layers of flavour was sublime. For example: the potato soup was delicious on its own, but in the bottom of the bowl was a smoked parsnip puree that blew my mind. The tortellini were delicate and delicious, as were the oyster mushrooms topping them. This is the food of someone who knows what they're doing. Not pictured is the Sticky Toffee Pudding--also fabulous.

Went to a tasting event last night. Food was amazing. The smoked eggplant ravioli was next level amazing. One of the best dining experience I have had in a really long time. Presentation, taste, atmosphere 10/10

The array of fresh flavors and the vegan inspirations were truly remarkable. Lindsay and Alex were exceptionally kind and explained each dish to us. We're eagerly looking forward to our next visit!

Every time I’ve ordered from Portobello Road, I plan on leaving half of my meal for leftovers the next day. But if you’ve ever had a meal from Portobello Road, you’ll know that it’s virtually impossible because their food is SO GOOD that I can’t help but eat the entire thing. And the best part? It’s vegan and gluten free!! So it’s good for you!! Plus, Lindsay is just a delight to order from and chat with when I pick up my food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I can't say enough good things about Portobello Road and the owner, Lindsay! I have yet to eat something I wouldnt order again! The portions are large, fairly priced and as a whole, so thoughtfully made hence the reason everything tastes amazing! The ordering process is very straightforward and Lindsay has always been available to answer any questions. I have been and will continue to order weekly to see what she comes up with next!

Freakin' fantastic!! Everytime I've ordered and gone to their shop has been an amazing experience, they're so kind and the food is delicious! I tried the peanut stew and muffins and my god they were both amazing. EDIT: The sea moss smoothies are fantastic! EDIT 2: Pizzas are phenomenal 😭

I had Portobello Road pizza at the Peterborough Veg Fest yesterday. It was SO delicious! That dough is what I have been searching for. I wish you were closer. Thank you for making the best pizza I have tried in my 13 vegan years. Can’t wait to have it again. ❤️

Amazing dine in experience! I’ve been ordering take-out meals from Lindsay and her team since they opened a store front, and I was so excited to have their tasting menu last night. She even made me a little personal seating label, which I’ve kept for my next visit! The combinations of locally grown foods and techniques of cooking are unique and tasty. It’s not just a restaurant it’s an experience. They bring back the roots of humans and food with each dish and the story of how it came together on your plate. They even mill their own flour to make the most delicious, nutritious organic bread! We visited last night for the tasting experience and it was amazing. I am not a vegan but I have heard great things about this restaurant thru various social media sites, so wanted to give it a try as I love all types of foods. I love that everything is locally sourced and everything is made fresh...including the bread and the pasta. The different textures and flavors and the way it all comes together was delicious. The smoked carrot was a favorite as well as the celery root dish..wow is all I can say. Oh and the dessert..the chocolate cake with beets and raspberry was to die for. We did the 8 course tasting and we left full. Probably could have done the 5 but after having all the dishes I wouldn't want to miss out on trying any. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back to try again.

Finally I was able to try this plant-based food restaurant past Saturday, I had been in the area on Sundays but they are closed on Sundays. I loved everything that I ate. The mushroom soup and the burger pizza were exquisite. My hubby, who is not vegan, tried the spicy mushroom pizza and he did like it. I had a bite and it was really good. Service was excellent. Will come back for sure. So glad to have this plant-based restaurant in Durham region.

This restaurant is absolutely adorable! Very nice atmosphere inside. The owner was so nice. The food was delicious. The City Seltzer is a small business as well which is great. The menu wasn't overboard, so it's easy to keep things tasty. The pasta is made fresh in house (first time I've ever had that at a restaurant). I overheard conversation about a gluten free tasting menu, which they take seriously. We had 2 types of pasta & a pizza. We were in & out in just over an hour, including having a little chat. We will be back next time we are in Oshawa for sure.

My sister-in-law brought lasagna and potato salad to our wedding this weekend and it was amazing! Both dishes were so flavourful and the potato salad is so creamy and delicious. Everyone loved them - vegans and non-vegans included! Thankfully there was leftovers for us to take home 😁

My wife and I went to a special 4 course tasting menu experience here today and it was amazing! Every course had unique ingredients and great taste. Our favourites were the Sourdough bread with golden Beets & home made tofu and the cherry pie & ice cream dessert. We can't wait to come back!

Excellent plant-based food. Everything is fresh, flavourful, and creative! We have yet to have a meal we didn't love. This place is a wonderful addition to downtown Oshawa, and is a true gem- even non-vegans would enjoy this place! We were hooked from the first time we ordered. The inside of the restaurant is small, but very clean and welcoming, and the owners are super friendly. They are doing a great job of offering healthy meals on the go. Check them out :)

Our family has been coming here now for well over a month and there is no place I would rather have my meals prepped. The food is incredible, I have never had any issues with anything. They have the best everything, ESPECIALLY meals and juices! I've never had anybody be able to change my taste buds with foods I never liked before, like this place!!!! If I could give them 20 stars I would. I know a TON of people who come here/have been here in the past and every single one of them have nothing bad to say. 100000% recommend!!! I've been ordering from Portobello Road on a regular basis since 2019, when they operated out of their home. I love the variety of delicious food that include soups, smoothies, salads, main courses, juices and desserts. They even do full holidays meals at Christmas, which I took advantage of. The ordering process is easy, as is the payment (several options available) and pickup. All YOU have to do is remember to pick up your order (they'll even send you a friendly reminder). Easy peasy. I love supporting this small, incredibly friendly, family run business and will continue to do so, even though they moved further east and I moved further west. It's worth it!

1000 stars yes. Please experience this delicious food! You can taste the care and expertise that goes into every single bite. I wish I could eat Portobello Road food everyday, all day. Oh... Lovely small restaurant. Vegan and locally-sourced vegetables. They make their own flour from the grain. We ordered four Margherita pizzas for takeout after seeing the pictures online. The dough was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. The tomato sauce was pure and tasty. The cheese was vegan, which was an interesting new flavour for us. A great pizza overall, I would get it again when we're in Oshawa. Lovely staff as well! We will come back to visit this little treasure again !

Heck yes! Portobello Road not only has mind blowing meals, but it's also full of talent and knowledge. We were lucky enough to get our date night in during one of their mystery tasting menus, and what an experience it was! Lindsay is such a kind soul, she humored all our questions and shared so much information with us. Applauds to the chef(s). The care, beauty and flavour in every dish was beyond my expectation. If you want to feel good about what you're eating, this is the place to be!

Hands down best muffin I ever had! It’s so hard to find desserts to enjoy with my diet restrictions but I had no guilt and was worry free as I enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️

We stumbled upon Portobello Road at the Whitby Farmers Market today and we just had the best vegan pizza ever! It was absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to try them again!

My mum and I got a pizza from a vender at a show and we LOVED it. We got a soda, a detox drink and I got a water; the pop wasn't too good, but my mum loves the detox mixture, and the water was water except in a metal bottle which is better than plastic. I am giving 5 stars 'cause despite the melon soda not being too yummy, everything else was excellent uwu

I am a connoisseur of vegan pizza, and this is the best I've had. It was full of delicious toppings, including a cashew-based cheese that was not at all gross.

Whether you are vegan or not, this is definitely a place you want to eat. The service is fantastic and the food is extraordinary. It’s flavourful, delicious and so satisfying. We will definitely be back.

Love Portobello Road so much! I have been ordering their prepared meals since they opened and have never had any issues. Their new dine in area is sweet and cozy and has top notch customer service. I have dreams about the baked potato pizza. Please give Portobello Road a visit!

When we moved to Oshawa from downtown Toronto, I thought that the restaurants would be what I missed most. But now, whenever we go out to eat downtown we just find ourselves wishing we got Portobello Road instead. Ever since we discovered Portobello Road we have been getting food from there almost every week. The weekly meal prep is always delicious and the options always exciting. The same thing could be said about the pizzas, whether we get take out or catch them at farmers markets. Their recently opened dine in restaurant has the best pasta I've ever tasted. And the best salad. And the best desserts. We went for dinner there last night and I'd happily go again today.

The pizza and garlic bread were delicious, and I'm looking forward to trying their other items. A great place to grab lunch at the Whitby Farmer's Market.

It's hard to believe that there's such great vegan food in Oshawa! Every week Portabello Road posts two menus, one for pickup on Tuesdays (meals) and one on Friday (pizza). We order the Tuesday menus almost every week! The meals are very good, they are always fresh and full of flavor. I do sometimes order extra protein, which cost a few dollars. I get really hungry after climbing 🧗🏼‍♂️. We place our orders on Instagram in advance, and the get a reminder day of to pick it up and pay for it then. I highly recommend Portabello Road, even if you dislike mushrooms...like me! Yum!
