Best beer bar in Oostende. Great music (blues, old rock, The Beatles...) and fantastic home beer PoppoLou which makes you feel special.

Last night went to Manuscript about 6 pm. I ordered a L**** Brand beer. The bartender shouted: 'hey, this guy just ordered a L**** ! That beer is dog ****. I don't even want to serve it. " I asked: "What would you recommend instead" ? He respond: "I don't have time for that...." At first I thought he was trying to be funny, but it was soon evident he was serious. His attitude was embarrassing and bullying all because I ordered a certain brand of beer. I felt very uncomfortable. Who wants to be berated in front of the entire bar for a choice of beer. I drank half my beer, and promptly left. I walked across the street to another bar and had an enjoyable evening.

Best selection of beer in Oostende, great music and staff that actually seem to care about you. Only downside is that no one had balls to kick out that british guy who almost hit my head when he threw a glass towards me and my 6 year old son... I suggest getting a massive dude to guard the door.

Flotter Service, klasse Ambiente, super Auswahl an Getränken. Musik mal nicht Main Stream. Weiß nicht wann ich das letzte mal "Take Five" in einer Kneipe gehört habe 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Called in for a couple of pints of Poppolou. Fast service at the bar, plenty of outside seating to enjoy our beer in the sunshine. Great beer, highly recommended.

Nice pub to have a drink. The beer offer is decent and the service is friendly. No complaints.

I'm from Chicago but my husband and I have a really good friend who's an Oostende native. We stayed with him for a month in 2016 and this was our bar while we were there. Great beer selection, vibe, music, etc. We had an epic night there and ate chicken sandwiches at the frituur across the way. One question for the owner. Since 2016, I've been looking for the name of a beer. I think it has the devil, or the #7, or maybe an evil monkey? But it was served in a pint glass that had an uneven bottom of the glass. Do you remember which beer this was, in February of 2016?

The bar was great but bartenders or the boss should really be careful about gay men harrassing others men in public. I was talkin to a women and a guy came up and try to forced her to kiss him, after that he try the same with me with force just like her. I reject him violently. After that another guy try to do the same with me I reject him too and I saw him doing the same with another young guy dancing But really violently. It's sexual abuse to invade sacred space like that when you refuse verbally and then you have to use force. Normally I would ' punch them but I was here to have a good time. But as a black guy in vacation I would have all the trouble on me. Cops was not far around. Next time bartenders should signals that cause one of the event happens next To the bar. I was too drunk to signal it. Maybe it's an LGBT bar and I should have run far far away but signal it at the entry please. With a rainbow flag or whatever. Cause this is not normal to be harrassed twice a night in a bar by 2 gay as a 100% heretosexual and to saw a women rejecting violently a guy and also another guy rejecting the same weird gay that intent to touch me and to kiss me before. 4 harrassing situations in one night and 2 include myself. I've never lived this in my life before and I'm a huge partier around a lot of place in the world. And I always respect everyone everywhere I go. It happens the 20 May Saturday Night till Sunday 21 May

Excellent little bar, always a nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?
