I have no idea who is giving this Walmart 4 or even 5 stars. This Walmart is the dirtiest, lowest staff, and understocked location I have ever seen. Most items are scattered all over the floor. If there are any items on the shelves, you will be lucky to find one that is not open, used, or has some unidentified liquid dried to it. There are no employees to be found other than the couple watching self checkout. I also came across a family who were sharing a chicken who decided to leave it in the cart... Worst Walmart ever, I regret coming here every time it gets worse...

It is a supercenter, so in terms of product range, they offer the widest variety possible. The pricing is very reasonable and competitive. The store includes a walk-in clinic facility along with a pharmacy. Additionally, customers can conveniently drop off returns purchased online. The staff are mostly friendly, approachable and helpful in nature. Recently, they have started operating more self-checkout counters, but still expect long queues, especially during weekends and peak hours in the early evening.

Bought an expensive collegen from here (Bayshore Location). Got insulted by security after I checked out from the cashier because the alarm ring at the gate and she scolded me, think I stolen something. What kind of service????? After verified everything, no apology was given. It was happened on Nov 17, 2023 at 9.15 pm.

Edit nothing has changed. This place needs better management. DONT TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THIEVES. I’m a mall employee and come everyday to buy things, sometimes I don’t find anything and walk out. Today November 17, 7AM I went in and I was stopped at the entrance before walking in by the greeter “what’s in your bag, show me” he said he needed to see. I was like “why” he said “ because you’re here everyday and I never see you buy anything” I told him I don’t steal and he was like “ then why do you walk out some times with nothing. 1 Star Clown Show I've now been to this Walmart several times since arriving in Ottawa. Very disappointing. 1. Almost every time I have been here, one and often more sale items are out of stock. Last night, for instance, only 1 of 4 items were in stock. 2. Store is a mess. Empty shelves, empty boxes all over, stock mixed up 3. No cashiers open 30 minutes before closing. Had to run in to get something 30 minutes before closing. All tills closed. Self checkout all closed but 4 and people unable to figure out what they need to do on self checkout. My produce wouldn't ring through correctly on it either and kept giving me a "reweigh" error. 4. Signage for prices not placed. A number of items I couldn't find the price for as the price tags were missing or items not matched to the tag. Couldn't tell which items were the sale items, if there were any that even resembled what was listed in the flyer. 5. Parking garage not well signed. Not friendly parkade to get into and few signs to indicate exit. One exit was blocked with workers doing maintenance. Other exits don't tell which streets would come to. Once getting out, the roads around it are confusing even for my GPS to try to get out and go east on 417.

Im sick and tired of walmart in general but especially this location. i had 3 security guards following me around the makeup section glaring at me and i left and didn't buy anything. Shopping in Walmart is so uncomfortable now. I used to love to buy all my makeup and groceries and everything here but my shopping experience with Walmart has been ruined completely. I rather buy the same stuff for more expensive at a different place to avoid going near a Walmart.

Careful when in the electronic section. If you're taking more than 1 minute of a workers time they will tell you to hurry up.. All to just continue talking to the other worker instead of doing their job.. I don't remember her name and don't mean to be racist but it was an Indian lady working around the same time this was posted

I’ve been to this Walmart a few times and have been satisfied with the experience. However today that changes. I bought two bottles of aveeno toner and upon returning home I noticed one of the bottles was half empty. I think it would be a good idea if employees check the shelves frequently so this issue doesn’t happen for future customers.

Worst Walmart ever. I was doing instacart and was trying to earn some extra bucks. Then all of sudden this group of two girls and one guy who were cash associates came to me while I was leaving from self checkout. They approached me rudely and accused of shop lifting. If they had doubts towards any customer they can approach calmly as well without accusing. They have no rights to accuse me without any proofs. They stopped and accused me saying that we have some machine and we saw that you have not scanned all the items. Later, i gave the bill to them and said that you can check the order yourself. However they ended up saying sorry because they were not able to find any such items. Point is if you have doubts ask for the bill rather than directly accusing someone. Such a horrible experience. They have no respect towards the instacart shoppers or customers for the matter of fact. There is a way of doing a job. Walmart should really train their employees better and hire better people. There are lot of people in search of job who will really take care about the reputation of walmart. Worst worst worst Walmart in Ottawa. They think by working for Walmart they own this store.

The messiest Walmart I have ever been to. Staff has no idea what they are doing. You ask them where a product is located and they look at you like your asking for the password to their bank account. Staff is too busy talking with each other than actually helping the customers. Nothing is every in stock and it’s just a HORRIBLY RUN store in general. Does upper management not care how their store looks?

They never have good quality of fruits and vegetables. They should check the products before stocking. Completely disappointed by the quality of stuff here. Always see expired products in the stock.

The worst Walmart of pickup orders ever. They were okay at the start of the pandemic but it's absolutely horrible now. Go to another location. It would literally be faster if I went in to get it myself, and I'd actually get the items I want because they say they don't have X, but they do when you go in. Or the packer puts cans on-top of eggs or chips or bananas. Every egg carton and fruit/veggie except onions gets its own plastic bag (though this might be at all the locations). The phone line they use is also janky and neither of you can understand each other very well, most of the time.

I have been shopping at walmart bayshore location since it was opened ..unfortunately it's One of the worst locations to shop at in Ottawa ....customers service is horrible, when you go to the grocery aisle or the cosmetic section you have security hovering over you, and when you go to self check out you are been watched as if you are stealing. I suggest the manager of Walmart close down the self check out and use the staff there as cashiers instead of using them as security. And please hire more staff with better attitude that actually do the work. As a customer I feel harassed every time I am there. Thank you

The shelves are never full and the store is always a mess. I live in the neighbourhood and work in the mall so I’m here often and it never seems to get better. How is there only One person with a key with the locked items in electronics during holiday shopping. Currently ten people waiting on one key and she’s the only cashier while the other wal mart employee (with a wal mart uniform) stands and watches because she doesn’t have a key

I placed online grocery order yesterday (4th Oct) between 7 - 8 pm slot. However, my order has 14 items and picked only 5 items and rest were unavailable. I called them back and E-commerce associate Amin quickly responded and apologized me; Picked other missing items on my order which were available in store and contacted me back that your order is ready for pickup! I wanted to give 5 stars to E-comm Associate "Amin" who is lone-warrior managing all orders by herself to parking spot, very patiently with her exceptional customer service oriented skills. I truly wish, management gives more support to her and add more associates to their team. You deserve round big applause for your Customer skills and I am sure you will reach great heights and wishing Walmart takes care of such exceptional employees to lead the team which adds more value for your career growth as well as the Walmart bayshore store success! A Walmart inside bayshore shopping center. Very convenient location, and it's literally a huge place. I used the machine that copy keys, it costs around $5 and the results are flawless. The entire process took around 5minutes. Great offers inside and the self checkout is easy to use

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I was a long time customer to the Lincoln fields location since the switch to Bayshore mall, Walmart cannot keep up with the influx of customers or merchandise. Items are often out of stock or disorganized. The store almost completely relies on self checkout and only takes cash thru the cashiers which they rarely have available making the line ups even worse! Today I waited in line to pay with cash for 20 minutes. Hire more people!

This Walmart four years back used to be well stocked and such efficient staff. From past one year, they do not re stock items for example canola oil is missing forever... it's like forcing to buy great value brands of Walmart. Vinegar the small can were not stocked for three weeks and I was forced to buy the big one. Since I live close by it's very convenient to come here but the present management and employees have turned this worse than a Desi kirana Store. Virgin coconut oil of nutvita brand has been missing forever and there's only great value for the same. They are so lazy to even restock basic things like veggies and stuff. They are always in a hurry to announce the shop will close or mall doors will close. But no enthusiasm to actually do their work

The largest selection out of all the Walmarts in the area. They have many self-checkout stations and the lines move quickly. Staff are available at the checkout whenever help is needed. Note that they are selling reusable bags only (or bring your own/carry it), no plastic bags available

in my personal opinion this Walmart is the worst in Ottawa. They cheep out on the self checkout machines they have almost 15 or 17 machines and they only open 5 or 6 and the line is piling up I mean if it’s slow I get it but when you see long lines open the machines what’s the use of them just sitting there? Second, is the items, they keep changing the location of them every now and then which’s frustrating customer barely know where the items are and then they change it, keep it Consistent and stop change the location of items. Third, small blue baskets, they use to be at the entrance pick up and go now you even ask the employee and they don’t know where they are, put the small blue baskets where they belong.

Absolutely a disgusting place. Items everywhere, floor is not mopped. Broken jar or pickles on the aisle and no employee to clean it up. Makeup aisle is just dirty and unorganized. Y’all really hiring kindergartens to run this place. Bunch of lemons.

Walmart CEO saying he's so worries bout all these self checkout thefts going on and it's hurting Walmart's profits. Well your answer is right in front of you MR CEO. Get rid of self checkouts and actually hire and use real human cashiers then will stop self checkouts thefts from happening. Plus many customers hate to work for free using their own cashes to check out their items. Perhaps why customers are stealing is because they take a few items to pay themselves for working the cash. Labour isn't free.

I bought a wonderful planner notebook in your store. I always buy my notebooks here for my studies. The fact that I found my wonderful glider notebook is an accident. In the section with notebooks, you have a mess. And no matter how many notebooks I buy during this period (8 months), nothing changes. It is simply impossible to find a suitable price for a notebook. Finding the right notebook is also a whole adventure. The way some notebooks lie bent and crumpled in general brings tears. You can earn more when everything is in its place and with the specified price. And so, most often, you see this mess and leave. If you don't have a staff and you can't organize your notebooks. I can do it for you. With pleasure and for free. I wish it to be beautiful😍

Great store. Friendly staff. Good prices. Lots of selection. But they rarely have anything but the self checkouts open and they are few and far between. The wait to check out is brutal.

I just had the worst walmart experience. Staff on cell phones , no help , had to spend 10 minutes finding a cart, shelfs were either empty or a complete mess. On the way out I was told not to leave with a small cart. I then had to transfer my shopping to another cart while these useless employees continued to browse on there phones , saying we don't make the rules sir. What ever happened to helpful and friendly walmart employees. When you see someone struggling, HELP THEM AND GET OFF YOUR PHONES!!!!

My first and last time coming here. This walmart is a disgrace. You are treated like a thief the minute you walk in. I was followed the entire time in the makeup section. The security guard was so close she was practically touching me. I put an item back and she didn’t see, then immediately accused me of stealing. She demanded that I told her where I put it, even though I put it back in its spot. She proceeded to yell at me in front of a bunch of people. Asking me to check my hands, which is ILLEGAL.I had to wait 10 minutes to purchase my one item in the makeup department because there was no employee at the cash, with the security watching me the entire time. Practically being held hostage over a 5$ mascara. I purchased my one item and she was still following me. I will NEVER return here again. Not to mention that the store has no employees and is lacking cleanliness. Disgusting behaviour going on in the store.

Bought something in gaming accessories as a Christmas gift, came to this location for convenience trying to return unopened, still sealed, item with receipt, and three guys kept telling me they can’t accept it as it is only 14 days and they don’t take it back as part of the holiday returns.
