We stayed here this past weekend for a soccer tournament. We were about 25 km (26 min.) away from Carleton U. TAAG Park which wasn't too bad when you factor in the savings compared to staying in Ottawa itself. The hotel has been newly constructed. The rooms are small, but adequate and your fee includes breakfast. Customer service was good. I would stay there again. P.S. They do not provide body lotion.

This hotel is located in the suburb of Kanata, next to the Canadian Tire Center and Tanger Outlets. As of this review it's also a relatively new hotel. The room was on the smaller side but had amenities such as a microwave and fridge. It was clean and pleasant. Unfortunately, the toilet in the room did not work and we had to use the public washrooms in the lobby. There is breakfast included, which is satisfactory (there's eggs, a protein like sausage or bacon, and selection of other items like bread, bagels, etc.) Parking is included.

Great staff and facilities. We enjoyed our night on the comfortable bed and our morning with the continental breakfast. The location right next to the outlets and highway was perfect. I also loved the dove products in the bathroom. Will definitely stay here when in town.

This hotel and the staff was very welcoming accommodating! Our rooms were clean and comfortable. I stayed here before and enjoyed my stay so figured we would do it again. My only complaint was with the pool area. And not necessarily with staff but with some of the other guests that were staying, possibly contractors. We had four fellas show up with beer in hand and literally take off the clothes they were wearing and jump into the hot tub in their underwear. We noticed, but tried to ignore it and enjoy the night. Not sure if this is something that could be improved upon or not, but it was gross. But like I stated above, the staff in rooms were good and we will likely be back when working in the area again.

Room was quite spacious. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not great, the coffee was tasteless and food choices limited. We went out for breakfast the second morning instead. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well.

Hotel is new and clean. Wide hallways and great rooms without carpets. Rooms are very soundproof compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Also had nightstaff doing security. Nice pool and hot tub. Only thing that could be better was the hot breakfast. Same meal available for both days and it wasn’t a hit. But there were other options. Great location within walking to the outlet mall and close to the Ottawa Sens game.

Just wasn’t impressed with the room they gave us. The pool was broken and we really were not compensated in anyway. It was great that they called to let us know 4 hours in advance of us showing up but I wasn’t going to change are hotel on new years weekend. All I asked for was a bottle of wine or champagne for are room. The breakfast well let’s just say my wife and I had coffee and went out for breakfast not much selection other hotels at least had waffle maker. The staff were great and helpful. Might be worth there wild if they had a delivery service to the Canadian tire centre since your not suppose to walk over the bridge to get to the senator games or concerts.

To start the communication with the hotel staff is brutal. I had called ahead to see what I needed to check in, they told me my id and the card I booked my room with. Upon arriving after driving almost 7 hours I was refused check in because the card I used was a debit visa and they would not take a cash deposit. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that the manager would tell me the same thing and was not able to talk to a manager. I had to wake my sister up in the same hotel to use her credit card so my autistic son who was freaking out could get into the room we booked months in advance. When I finally got in my room, which is very small and overpriced, a bunch of black hairs were found on the apparent “clean” bed. The breakfast was free but they ran out fast and was low quality. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were way to big, terrible sleep. Walls are super thin in this place, can tell it was built very cheap. Can hear everyone walking above your room clear as day. Alot of construction going on around the hotel as well. We will never stay at a microtel again after the terrible stay here. The only good thing was my kids enjoyed the hot tub. If your going to spend this kind of money on a tiny room you might as well go to a Hilton and get good service that’s worth the price tag. We were not even asked how our stay was or anyone else we were there with.

Brand new hotel located right by the outlet mall in Kanata. As the facilities are new, everything is also clean and looks nice. Lots of shops are within a quick drive away. The building isn't very large as it is 4 stories tall. There are a bunch of amenities as well as ample parking. The on site gym is 24 hours and has a decent amount of equipment. There was free breakfast in the morning during my stay. It looks like there is a pool at this location however it is not yet open at the time of this review Checking in and out was a really quick process. The staff were nice, courteous and friendly. Definitely will be visiting this Microtel location again when I am visiting the area.

This hotel was lovely and the staff was very accommodating! Was quickly checked in and the room was clean, had fridge and microwave with room. When we went to leave for dinner the night that we checked in, the door wouldn’t latch. Called front desk and they did say that the previous people in the room had the same dilemma, he told us a way to get it to latch but while we were doing that he was looking at available rooms. We got it to latch and we were okay with staying in the room, hopefully it gets fixed after we left. Water pressure in the shower lacked, but did have Dove soaps for hotel showers and I have never seen a brand name shampoo and such for hotels so that was nifty! Otherwise a very lovely stay!

An honest review- The walls are paper thin, and to make matters worse the rooms have these double doors that could be opened to connect rooms BUT that makes it even worse. We heard the other couple as if they were in the same room, every word was clear. horrible if you are like me and my husband who specifically wanted the hotel to get away from the kids. Instead we were awkwardly starring at each other when we realized even in a hotel room we get NO privacy. Only one tiny night stand table by the bed, so only one person gets a spot to put their drinks. The pool is not very big, but looked very clean. Gym was small but was nice. the beds were comfy and room smelled clean when we entered. Breakfast was mediocre and basic. Night staff lady was frustrated and in a rush, but she seemed overworked and tired so I didn’t blame her for it, and she did help us a lot which we truly appreciated. We ended up switching rooms and that one was extremely quiet until 7am, when a construction worker began drilling in the next room. But we didn’t mind it, since he was just fixing up a room and we were already awake by then. They gave us complimentary water when we left. I had started by giving one star but changed it to two just because the staff was decent. If it wasn’t for them and the comfy beds it would have definitely been a much worse stay. Also the location is near the Canadian tire centre and you could just walk to watch a hockey game which is great.

Working out of town for a week, I found that the Microtel was a great place to stay. The desk staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and organized, with everything working as it should. I even ended up using the hot tub and pool. I would recommend this hotel for your next stay

Brand new Hotel! Newly renovated and very nice ! The pool and hot tub was very nice and a great time for the kids. Not a compliant about anything. Price was fair for what it was. Comes with a free breakfast of coffee, tea, juices, eggs, bacon, toast, yogurt, fruit etc. If we are in Ottawa again we will return here

Brand new hotel. The rooms aren't quite complete yet, but it wasn't a deterrent at all. I'm looking forward to going back once it's in full swing. Right across the street from the Tangers Outlet and walking distance to the Canadian Tire Centre. The continental breakfast was good, and the staff were very pleasant.

This was my first time staying at a Wyndham chain, and honestly, will be my last. The rooms are clean, and the entire place is clean in general, but the customer service does not make this hotel stand out, in comparison to any of the Hilton chains or the Marriott chains. We didn't receive the housekeeping service on the Friday as told to us, because due to some unforeseen circumstances, they were unavailable until Sunday. We came back to a room with the towels still on the bathroom floor and beds unmade. We checked out on Saturday, so it was quite an inconvenience and we needed to ask the front desk for items. I asked for toilet paper and was told it would be delivered to my room within 10-15 min...an hour and a half later, still nothing so I had to ask. No apology or explanation offered. Another thing is when we checked out, we weren't even asked how we enjoyed our stay... nothing! Sadly, while the location was convenient, I will be looking to stay in either the Hilton Garden Inn, or a Marriott hotel chain. Poor customer service does not want to make me come back for a second time.

Lovely hotel. Welcome attractive building. All staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean well stocked and modern. Free Breakfast was good quality and selection, area constantly being cleaned and restocked. Good for business and pleasure stays. Will definitely be returning.

Loved this hotel! It was easy to find and while it was busy, the young adults working check in did an exceptional job of moving quickly. I will definitely book here again. Breakfast was also very good with a wide selection and lots of different places to sit!

Brand New and very clean. Pool is not open yet. Rooms are small and the insulation is poor. Can hear the upstairs guest walking and thumping all day and night. Towels are really soft but the water pressure could be a bit better for the shower. Breakfast is good but make sure to get there early as they stop making things as they run out. Breakfast is 6-9am. We got there 820am and already no more eggs and told by breakfast attendant that they won't be making anymore. The attendant came back after saying that management agreed to make more but by 918am it still didn't come out I gave up standing around.

New Hotel, so all is nice and clean. A few common items that you are normally accustome too like those tini lotion tubes, are not in your suite, but there are soap, shampoo and body wash. The free breakfast is also not the full option u would be accustomed to, like the waffle maker and more breakfast items.

Although my visit to Ottawa was for a funeral, my stay at the Microtel Inn was very plesant. The rooms were clean, had all the necessary amenities , the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was exactly what one needs to start the day. But most of all, I'd like to acknowledge the staff. Due to my state of mind, I had reserved for the wrong date. I called at 4AM, fully expecting voicemail or someone who was half asleep. I was ecstatic to hear a cheery voice who went out of their way to fix my reservation. Thanks to all for turning a bad day in to not so bad a day. I highly recommend anyone who is in the Ottawa area, to stay at the Microtel Inn!

Unfortunately, I was staying at this hotel and visiting Kanata for a Funeral. Although, the hotel was very clean and nice. The room was good size, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the staff were excellent. The funeral was at the Canadian Tire Centre and this hotel was conveniently located just steps away from the venue (making it great for a Senators game or a concert). I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you're in the Kanata or Ottawa West area.

I stayed for 4 days for work. My room was great however you could hear the neighbours at times. Other than no waffle machine (lol) food was awesome. Very clean and organized. I would recommend and stay again in a heart beat. Thank you!

Good comfortable stay. Close to many amenities like Tanger Outlets or the Canadian Tire Centre but beware, there is no sidewalk and you can not walk to the arena. A good breakfast with lots of options. When we arrived shortly before 3, we were told our room wasn’t ready. After about an hour of waiting, we could finally check in. This meant we had to cancel a planned tour in downtown Ottawa, but the manager mr Patel was quick to make it right. We enjoyed our complimentary stay thanks to his great customer service and they even brought us snacks up to our room. Our King bed room was spacious and modern. Unlike other microtels I’ve been In, I was happily surprised to see a bath tub instead of only a shower. Soaps and detergents were Dove and smelt nice. The tv was huge and we could easily cast Netflix or YouTube onto it which was great. I recommend this hotel, everything made for a wonderful stay.

Such a Great Hotel, and it's Very Close to Kanata and the Canadian Tire Center. All rooms are New(built Sept 2022). Free Breakfast is hot and delicious. Our New go to, when visiting Ottawa.

New hotel and still adding the finishing touches. Pool not completed at this time. Rooms are standard size. Staff are friendly and leading the job. There is a breakfast both hot and cold , coffee and juice. Close to Canadian Tire centre and Kanada centre for shops and food. Weight room is a fair side for a hotel with free weights up to 50lbs, a universal machine, 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals & a bike.

It should be clearly stated that ONLY Canadian cards are accepted. The website says "Visa card is ok", but that is not true. My european-emitted card was declined right at the check-in, and my booking was cancelled, so I was left without the room at the late evening. Other than that, my Visa card worked just fine at different car rental companies and in a few other hotels. I went to another hotel after all and it worked just fine.

The breakfast was AMAZING. So much to choose from hot and cold which you just don't get at other places. I believe the lovely lady working the desk was Jan (or Jen) she was more than helpful and was very interactive with guests at breakfast as well. We had a king size bed and it was super comfortable. Like someone else mentioned the floors are not very well insulated would be my only complaint. Could hear guests above us walking about late into the night and early am. Also lots of parking and very close to near by things. Local restaurants are also just a quick 10 min drive away.

If you have plans to catch a hockey game or concert at the Canadian tire center, this is the place to stay. Rooms are modern and super clean, beds are real comfy, breakfast is perfect. To top off the experience all staff was wonderful, pleasant and friendly. We stayed in the queen suit, I recommend if you are staying for a couple of days...comes with a full size fridge, a mini stove top, coffee machine, sink and dishes. All set if you wanna order in or bring in a little something to cook yourself. Also its a few seconds drive to get to the game. Amazing

Nice new hotel. Walking distance to outlet mall and Canadian Tire Centre. Breakfast is good & plenty to choose from for a continental. But, I specifically chose this hotel over 3 other ones near by because they advertise a pool & hot tub. A great way to end a day and also an activity for my granddaughter. Neither is available! A bit misleading- don't promote pool & hot tub...until they're open. Staff is definitely above average too.
