Great Chinese food. Tonight was my first time trying Asian Dragon. Now Chinese is by far my favourite kind of takeout. You definitely won't be let down by the food. It's a tad bit pricey compared to other places; however the quality of the food is superior. My favourites were the sweet and sour pork chop, general Tao, and Lemon chicken. I'd say the chicken fried rice and stir fry egg noodles were average but above average egg roll. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. But since I can't it's closer to a 5 than a 4. This is my new go-to spot for Chinese in Barrhaven area. I will definitely be ordering again!

This is by far my new favorite Chinese food place! It taste's like old school Ottawa Chinese, the portions are AMAZING for the price and it's just so delicious! Will definitely be my go-to spot.

Delicious food made fresh every time! They also have like 200 items on their menu so I highly recommend checking out the menu before you show up/call during lunch hours when they get super busy.

A terrific family-run business, I've been seeing the same faces for years; the masters of consistency. Never sold out to the delivery apps and it's the ONLY restaurant in Barrhaven that never dipped in quality through the pandemic. By far Barrhaven's best Chinese food, and the best Cantonese chow mein I've found in Ottawa. I will only order from them as long as they're around.

Generous portions, lots of meat in the dishes that included meat. We were very pleased with the food, very good - we will definitely order from Asian Dragon again!

A couple months ago we went and the main girl / who I believe is the owner / told us there was no dairy in any of the food they made and that they “cook with oil”. Out of 4 times we went, we asked three other times and they said no dairy in the food. We had it a few times and I honestly had suspicions based on some symptoms my little guy was having after I ate it. He has a pretty bad dairy intolerance and we avoid dairy in everything/treat it like a true allergy. I asked my partner to double check about the food being dairy free tonight. The same woman who I believe is the owner was working said yes there’s a small amount in the batter of the chicken balls. So my partner asked me did I want something else. Well upon asking more questions, pretty much all their chicken has dairy. They can’t even confirm the ingredients in their food.. So I didn’t order. We were regular customers for a long time but being lied to about what’s in the food and putting our little guy at risk is unacceptable and we will never be back.

this place is so good. everything i’ve ever wanted in a chinese restaurant is in asian dragon! I am a regular with my family and I love this place with my whole heart. thank you to the staff and family.

Consistently good even after the pandemic. We have been customers for about five years now, indulging a few times a year on special occasions. The food is consistently portioned well and tastes good. Keep up the great work!

Food was overall okay but really sweet and even though I ordered spicy dishes they weren't spicy at all. Perhaps next order I need to ask to go easy on the sugar and actually add some chili and szechuan pepper.

Generous portion sizes and beautifully cooked food. I regularly get the lunch specials, and the ones offered at Asian Dragon are one of the best in Ottawa. The family that works here are always very polite and feel like one of my own. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Im not one to write reviews but I’m deeply disappointed in Asian Dragon. I used to live in barrhaven and ordered combo plates here before so I thought they be a good choice for some family comfort food after losing a loved one. Went in last night and ordered a family dinner for 4 and spent $113. My first complaint. We asked for a substitution of general tao and were told it would’ve been $2 to upgrade. I said that’s fine. The guy asked me if I wanted the receipt and I said no it’s okay. My wife and brother both understood the same. As they were in the store with me. After waiting about 20 mins for food we got it and went home only to find no rice packed in the food. Fine. It was a mistake but upon calling to tell them of their mistake and overcharging me. The guy on the phone started to get rude and irate by raising his voice at me. I told him I was over charged and he said he told me it was a $2 substitution fee plus the difference in the item. A whole whopping 6.95 which is almost like a whole other item. (Robbery )I had to now raise my voice and tell him not to be yelling at me for their mistake. He sighted “it not his fault and he didn’t pack the food” instead of owning up, he cut me off and passes the phone to a lady. Secondly my wife ended up driving all the way back and having to wait for them to give her 2 containers of rice because their delivery wouldn’t take place for 20-25 minutes after we already got home in which time the rest of food was already getting cold. The lady did apologize to her and the guy said he was “overwhelmed” with many orders at that time. Which is not an excuse to be rude to your customers imo. It’s not my fault you’re busy, I’m a paying customer just like everyone else. Thirdly after waiting so long to eat… the food was quite disgusting and unappetizing my entire family was displeased with the food quality. There was no freshness to it and I started to wonder if we were given food items from days before. The general Tao I paid a “fee” for and the “price difference” was extremely gross and soggy with little to no sauce like it had been microwaved 2 days later. My family coined it as just general chicken without the Tao. The rice was also dry and hard. Overall most of the food just had no taste. I will admit The best thing was the wonton soup, spring roll, and the garlic ribs which were mostly fatty anyway. Which is all I ended up eating anyway. The rest of food we tossed in the garbage after everyone could nibble on what they could. Needless to say I am not impressed, whether mistake or not after all the commotion and going there twice. The food wasn’t even good. Even in the photo I took you can see just how unappetizing the food looked and that it wasn’t up to par. There are a few other photos of General Tao that don’t look remotely like ours. I won’t be going back here. I’m sure this review will be met with negative comments as I’ve seen them respond to other people with a very rude and nasty attitude because they didn’t say what they wanted to hear. But that’s okay. My money will never be spent at Asian dragon in barrhaven again. 🤢

Quick delivery, really good food. Especially like their egg rolls. For around 60 dollars including tip and all that, 2 adults and one teenager get a big dinner and a good lunch with the left over!

I eat here probably 2-3 times a month for lunch and it’s always consistently delicious! Portions are great, and the staff are always super friendly. I highly suggest coming here if you’re looking for amazing food and service!

On a birthday Monday, our usual Chinese take-out was closed. So we Googled an alternative, and chose Asian Dragon (mainly because of its good reviews). It turned out to be GREAT choice. The owner took our order very cheerfully. It was ready before the estimated time. Then, when we brought it home, we were blown away. It cost about the same as our "regular place", but the portion sizes were twice as much! And the taste was much better, too. We now have a new "favourite place."

There isin’t enough stars for this place… I have been living in Barrhaven for a little over two years and can’t believe I haven’t tried this place sooner! We were so disappointed with the Chinese food in the area and would drive to the east end to pick up our food but we won’t need to do this anymore!!! Thank you for the delicious food, even our picky 11 month old loved it!
