😠 Ordered two butter chicken pastas because it sounded interesting. One of worst dishes I've ever eaten. There was no chicken at all except one tiny piece, and nothing "butter chicken" about it. The entire thing was just pasta (see photo), which was extremely over spiced. Save your money and time, it... Coming from Toronto, I missed having same quality of Tamil/Sri Lankan/South Indian food I'm used to. However, I was excited to find this place near by, especially because of the affordable prices. Everything we order met/exceeded our expectations - I honestly wish I could rate more than 5 stars. The quality and taste was amazing. The payasam and rice/curries were just like my mom makes. Not watery or under-spiced at all. The mutton kothu roti had a lot of meat. Many of the restaurants I've been to skimp on the meat, but with Ayini's it was completely opposite. It was perfectly spiced as well. We highly recommend this place to everyone!! It will be our new go-to spot. I hope Ayini continues with the great food and service :) Fyi: They have vegan/vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal options! நன்றி அயினி!!

Ordered two butter chicken pastas because it sounded interesting. One of worst dishes I've ever eaten. There was no chicken at all except one tiny piece, and nothing "butter chicken" about it. The entire thing was just pasta (see photo), which was extremely over spiced. Save your money and time, it was gross. The portion was so tiny and extremely expensive for what was received. It seems the restaurant ran out, and instead of cancelling the order, cobbled together scraps. Extremely disingenuous and cheats the customer.

Picked up dinner from Ayini which included mutton rolls, plain dosa, chicken tikka, and the chicken briyani. Food was prepared relatively fast considering they seem quite busy, and the staff were nice. The mutton rolls were crisp and full of flavour. The dosa was soft so we crisped it up in the oven at home. I really like the red and green chutneys it comes with! Loved the flavours of the chicken briyani and chicken tikka though there is less value for the tikka imo. Overall, great flavours! Note that the shop is small and since they're busy, you'll likely have to wait outside to respect the maximum occupancy of 4 people.

Ordered paneer dosa and mutton rolls through UberEats. I wasn't expecting they'd just wrap grated paneer in the dosa. Tasted very bland and dry. At the very least, add some masala with the grated paneer or even some spices. That's how paneer dosa is served at Indian restaurants. It was edible only because it was served with sambhar and 2 chutneys. The mutton rolls were quite crispy and tasty. It had a decent amount of filling and the meat was well cooked.

Sure, here's a review for a food restaurant: I recently had the pleasure of dining at , ayini restaurant and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for what turned out to be a delightful evening. The menu was extensive, offering a wide range of dishes to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. I opted for the dosa , and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the plating and garnishes, which added an extra touch of elegance to the dish. The service was top-notch. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that my dining experience was memorable. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was also noteworthy. Despite being a busy restaurant, the noise level was low enough to allow for easy conversation, and the lighting was just right, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Overall, I would highly recommend ayini restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional, and I cannot wait to return. If you're looking for a great restaurant that ticks all the boxes, this is the one for you!

Was in the area and dropped in here to get some rolls and saw that they have Mutton Dum Biriyani. So I ordered one portion. After coming home I opened the Biriyani and the portion was “SO SMALL”. Seriously you charged $14.99 and have only a portion which a 10year old will find not sufficient!! Very disappointed!!! The box was not deep and it was only half filled.. crazy!! No value for money at all!!

Great place, Tamin ( a worker ) was very helpful and we were late for their breakfast buffet however he was the reason why they cooperated, they had great service and the people serving were nice, I would definitely recommend going there at least once. Hope that you enjoy your visit this is all I am saying.

We ordered 2 Thali plates and an eggplant side. The thali plates looked gross and bland, the spice mix was non existent other than it was super spicy and dry. The Eggplant tasted delicious but again too spicy for any of us to eat and we generally can eat spicy enough. Unfortunately, I threw everything in the garbage and picked up something else.

I ordered Masala dosa via Uber eats and the Sambar was gone bad. The colour was dark brown with a white film on it. It also had a funky smell. I called the restaurant to let them know. They said, “we will fix it next time”. What makes you think we will order next time if you can’t rectify this time’s mistake?

Ayini is a gem of Barrhaven. Though my family and I have never dined in (we've only had take-out and delivery), the food is excellent and good value. My favourite dish is the mutton Kothu Rotti, though I recently had the butter chicken pasta and it really hit the spot. The times when I've had take-out, I notice that the atmosphere is basic, but the food more than makes up for the lack of decor. Ayini is out first choice when it comes to Indian food in our neighbourhood.

There's naan other like it 🔥 Ayini Restaurant has a brilliant combination of South Indian, Sri Lankan, other other South Asian cuisine. I met the owner Shan while there and his passion for creating a dining experience that showcases authentic exotic flavours is evident. Our server Tomhid was as equally enthusiastic about hosting as if we are part of the family. Their menu features countless gems, including: - Butter Chicken Dosa served with Sambar and Chutney 🍗🫓🍲 - Pittu - featuring rice flour and coconut 🍚🥥 - Chicken Thali, which is an amazing sampling platter 🍗🍽 - Kothu Roti - a Sri Lankan dish featured chopped roti, curry, and additions of your choice like chicken, eggs, or lamb 🫓🥚 - Samosas made in house 💛 - Potato Masala 🥔🌶 - Lamb rolls that have a perfectly crispy shell 🥩 - Idli, which is a South Indian rice cake 🍚 - Snacks made and packaged in the restaurant 🧡 And so much more! We will definitely be returning ASAP!

Disappointing experience! Sambar was cold, watery, tasted like they put water in a bunch of veggies. Poor service, nobody came to even ask for water or about the food.

I ordered four plates for a group, recalling that when I did the same thing five months ago, the food was very good and portions were large. This time, the food was just okay, the prices were higher and the portions were tiny. Everyone was left hungry and I will not order from Ayini Restaurant again.

This place deserves a 0 star. Absolutely horrendous service, waited for 15 mins for someone to take the order. No one turned up and had to call them on their phone for someone to come out to take the order. The medhu vada was served stale and the oil was foul smelling. The sambar was cold had no flavour, salt and was watery. The masala inside the dosa had no spices and the potatoes were uncooked and hard. Even the items in the hot section were cold and solidified. Should be avoided

The food used to be good and tasty. Just picked couple of orders of chicken biryani, these are extremely cold, no way freshly cooked. They even did not label hot or mild on different containers. They need to maintain the quality.
