EDIT: Recently visited Pong's again and got the medium Stranger Frings Poutine (fries and onion rings poutine). The food is as good as ever though prices have gone up because of inflation. Love that they layer the fries/rings, cheese curds and gravy so you get consistent bites. Comes in a clamshell that will barely close. Delicious gravy. Super crispy shoestring fries. Prepared fresh. **** Haven't had a proper poutine in years and this may be the best I've ever had. Love that they use shoestring fries and fried extra crispy to hold up to the cheese and gravy. Gravy is full of flavour and delicious. Curds were melty but still had that rubbery texture in the middle. Value is there too. The medium is quite a large portion with the clamshell barely closing shut.

By far this is one of my most favorite poutine spots in Ottawa. Their fries are crispy, pairing with perfect gravy, and of course the squeaky cheese curds. Love their themed poutines too. So so amazing 🤩

I don't usually hand out five star reviews for chip trucks, there is usually something I don't like. Maybe this place could be located closer to my house? That's unreasonable though. Back to the review, I feel like this place takes their business seriously, and you can taste it. Please review the included phots as you can see they use a quality bun for their burgers, real cheese curds that perfectly half melted. They use thinly cut fries which I enjoy, that's all personally preference though. the gravy is nice and flavourful without being intrusive. I believe a poutine should be equal parts fries/gravy/cheese all working together and that's what you will find here at Pong's. Back to the bacon cheese burger, again with the quality ingredients. Nice bacon mixed with cheese and other toppings. The patty was definitely home made, some sort of onion and other flavours were noticed, nicely done. To top all this off you can get the bacon cheeseburger combo with a drink for $10 plus tax. I really like that the combo comes in its own box, like a little gift to yourself. I had the pleasure of visiting Pong's Poutine for the 3rd time while I was in the Carp area last week. Each visit was delicious and food was made promptly. They have a nice seating area if you have time to dine in and you can even pay with debit unlike some other food trucks that haven't got with the times even after this whole covid mess. Staff are quite friendly and seem very organized. My last order was a hot dog combo with a poutine and a drink and came to $9.50 which I find considerably cheap in comparison to others and the poutine was big enough to feed 2 people with small appetites, they use shoestring type fries which I'm not too fond of but that's just a personal preference and won't keep me away since I'm already a fan.

Absolutely amazing poutine. Hands down the best poutine in Ottawa. Try the smoked meat sandwich as well I've been going here for over 2 years and have tried over 15 different kinds of specialty poutines. Every single one never fails to impress truly the best poutines in Ottawa

I actually quite liked this place! I ordered a medium with extra curds, and they filled it so full that the lid can’t even close. They did this beautiful thing where they layered the cheese and gravy with the fries, so you don’t run out of gravy OR cheese as you get deeper in the poutine. Surprisingly, though, this actually did this poutine a slight disservice, as their gravy was actually just slightly too salty. Flavours, otherwise, were great. Fries were really crunchy, but I wished they were a bit thicker - my personal preference is just for slightly thicker cut. If you like thinner cut, this is great. I’ll come back again, but probably get a smaller size as I couldn’t quite finish the medium. Definitely give it a try!

Everything was delicious. Had a poutine and was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. Definitely a great value and they don’t skimp on the curds! Had to go back for an onion ring poutine the following. The onion rings were nice and crisp and held up to the gravy and curds. Update: went back opening day of 2021. Bacon cheeseburger with onion ring poutine. Everything was fresh as usual. It’s nice to have them back

Best poutines I've had and friendliest service.

Pretty decent, the fries are obviously cut in house, and nice and crispy, but we were surprised there were no gluten free options - in 2023 most food trucks offer GF gravy, or have even switched over to it exclusively to ensure those with allergies can enjoy along with everyone else!

$12 cheese burger combo! Better than McDonald's - Service was fast and friendly - Not wheel chair assessible - Price $ decent - Poutine fries were great curds melted, gravy was not too salty fries were crispy even after the gravy - Burger was decent size, the pattie was a little dry, other than that everything was good - No bathroom - This place is outside - Overall... would recommend and will go back See photos and menu

We had a food truck mishap at a corporate event on Wednesday. We called Pongs if there was any way they could do 30 burgers and 30 fries in 30 minutes and they said yes. We were so thrilled. The service was superior and the food was delicious and enjoyed by all. The young gentlemen at the service window was kind, patient and very helpful. Pongs saved the day for us and our employees.
