We found ourselves in the neighbourhood around dinner time. I was a little hesitant about this place because the reviews were either 5 stars (most of them) or very low. But I’m happy we discovered this place. Pictured are 1.5 portions of Iskender and 1.5 Adana. Both were delicious. These are very large portions of meat, plus salad, rice, pide (pita bread), and/or yoghurt on the side. Sure, it’s not as cheap as the drive-through McDonald’s or whatnot nearby, but you get a decent—and authentic—dinner here, and with great service. Also, about half of the clientele we saw were actually from Turkey, always a good sign for an ethnic eatery. I’ll add my review to the 5-star camp because it’s a very good offering of Turkish food in Ottawa.

A little Turkish restaurant in a nondescript mall with great service and food. If you live in the east end of Ottawa you have visit this place. The staff are friendly and definitely want to make you happy.

We had iskinder kebab and adana kebab as main dish and tea with baklava for desert. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Best baklava I ever had in Ottawa. The prices were higher than I expected based on Google reviews. We ended up paying around $80 .

Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere/experience that fills your heart as well as your stomach. Mr Iskender (owner and namesake) is a talented chef, whose delicious dishes are testament to his philosophy that the best taste comes from attention to details. Highly recommend the Iskender platter and adena kebab plate - no photos because they disappeared almost immediately! If you dine-in, the perfect finish to the meal is baklava (probably the best I've ever tasted), served with complementary Turkish tea. Bottom line - if Iskender suggests something, try it!

Awesome service and food. The owner was super friendly. We had two dinners here for our three nights in Ottawa. Highly recommend, well deserve the 4.9 rating.

Great service. I enjoyed my meal but I was with someone from Turkey and she wasn't as impressed tbh. It was freezing inside the restaurant, the heat must be off to save money, not sure. The bathroom was so cold and had no toilet paper.

I went here because I was in the area and read all the good reviews. The service was passable but unfriendly, and the restaurant was just an old Subway space with minimal remodeling. The meat was terrible, both the chicken and the beef. They both tasted off, definitely not fresh, and neither were the veggies. I ended up getting sick from the wrap, so I think there was definitely a freshness quality issue here. I will never go back.
