Note: I don't post reviews often, so take this is as something I was pretty fired up about. ------ I was on my way home after work, and wanted to grab some food for my girlfriend and I. As I passed through Bell's Corners, I remembered that there was a local pub nearby which sold pizza. After years of thinking, "Hey, Mort's! Yeah that's one of the dive bars where I want to someday stop in with a few of my friends, grab some drinks, and have a good time at", I decided to take the plunge and see if food would be decent. Was craving pizza, and heard decent reviews about it, so decided, "let's do it!". First mistake... Let's get one thing out of the way about Mort's, and I mean this with all honesty and sincerity.. The Karen running the show/bar here, needs to go ASAP! As soon as I showed up to place an order, and she opened her mouth, I knew right away that this wasn't going to go over well. She was rude, inattentive, and seemed like she didn't have the time of day for anyone. Literally, one of the most unpleasant people I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. She even had the nerve to be berate customers who tried to enter the bar to use the washroom. Absolutely baffled. If Jon Taffer saw this old maid treating people the way she was, he would've had a sh!t fit and she'd be gone with the quickness. With that said... I tried to brush it off, hoping that the previous reviews regarding the pizza would make this a better experience. Second mistake.. Honestly, it was nothing special. Just your typical "two for one" chain-style pizza. Bland sauce and tasteless crust. For the price of the pizza and dipping sauce ($30+), I was amazed how they've gotten away for so long for charging an arm and a leg for it. Anyway, as mentioned from the jump, I don't post reviews often. I figured though that I should let others know that they should avoid this place at all costs. Not worth the disappointment.

We love the subs here. This is a little hidden gem of a place... because...it used to be Fat Albert's some years ago. Now if you ask for it, then you can get the old Sub menu, and they make them friggin awesome, and they taste exactly the way they did 20 years ago when food was good. They also still give the deal, buy three get one free deal, so that's pretty nice. Keep up the great work.

Unfortunately I was disappointed by our experience here. I have wanted to try for a long time as I have heard good things about the pizza and the atmosphere. Although a cozy spot that looks like it would be fun to day drink, the food was disappointing. The menu was limited to pizza and wings (not necessarily a bad thing), but the pizza was fairly bland, with little flavor.

What more could you really ask for or want in a little Pub.. this place has it all.. Great food, great staff, and it feels like home when you walk in.. they have great pizza to.. do not be shy to walk into this little spot.. it's a great place with super friendly people.

Delicious food, and such friendly, generous, and warm owners. Mort and Marie are wonderful, and they've created a great sense of community, even during Covid. They are open for take-out and delivery during Covid, and their pizza is our go-to on a weekly basis!!

Great pizza spot. Menu is short and sweet. It's one of those places that will be in business for a long time. They don't sleep on the ingredients and they got the pizza crunch just right.

Great selection of beer. Limited menu and experience can vary from time to time. Once the bartender said towards another customer who just left that the person comes and drinks but does not tip. They can be trained better to provide professional services as then people tend to tip more.

Well, I can't hold the brutal temperature outside against them, so instead I'll praise them for remaining open and providing some heaters so that we could at least try to enjoy a beer somewhere other than home. Sorry to say, I made a mess of the patio table we were at by spilling our two beers 3 times in rapid succession (I kicked the table trying to take a picture, and knocked them down faster than I could pick them up.. lol). So the "review" part of this is that everyone there at least had a sense of humor about everything. Sorry for the frozen beer everywhere, but we made a little memory. :)

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be ordering pizza from there again. Last 2 experiences have left me wondering what's happened to the once, in my opinion, best pizza in the west end. My most recent experience was disappointing, the pizza seemed half as thick as it used to be and the infused oil i was so looking forward to drizzling over the pie was forgotten. I mean one would think after leaving a 30+% tip, someone would double check the order before leaving for the delivery....

Small place. Small menu. But the pizza was tasty and the service friendly.

Ended up at Mort's by random choice of after-work pub with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised. If there was a 4.5-star option, that's what I would give it. A friend and I randomly chose to try out Mort's on a Tuesday. We had their 2-for-1 large pizzas with 4 beers. It came out to $40 each, so I'm not sure it was the best deal, but the pizzas were surprisingly good. Was it the best I've ever had? No. But much better than any other bar pizza I've had, hands down. The bartender / server was friendly and since the place only holds a couple dozen people the service was quick. It seems like a good business to support .. it's nice to see places like this that aren't just another chain or trying to be like every other Milestones, Barley Mow, etc. Would go back !

Great food at a reasonable price. Jen was great on bar. Kim is always pleasant. Happy to continue going to Morts.

Not the same as Big Mort's little pub. Food is worse and no subs. Same atmosphere though.

I just call ahead and pick up their pizza’s to go. But from that perspective the pizza is amazing and always ready in a reasonable time. Servers are always good with me.

If you want a great pizza in a small atmosphere, this is the place to go. I usually get the double cheese, double pepperoni.

This place offers an old school high quality pizza, nothing like what most places sell and call pizza these days. The dough, cheese, sauce and toppings are all fantastic. A generous amount of cheese and not too saucy, but not under sauced either. Toppings were all very high quality.

There for darts...friendly staff...food looked good and hot...patio full with patrons.

Fantastic food served from a little place; I mean, the pizza is competitive af. It's a popular local spot where the friendly staff and owners do everything to accomodate. That is - even with covid19 they're adapting fast! And I do sorely miss going for pints here!

First time going and it was absolutely delicious! We can't wait to back, friendly staff. Overall great time

Love this place. Great service nice outdoor patio and yummy pub food. The pizza is unique with lots of toppings and top notch. Good bang for your buck.
