Nothing that stood out for me at this location. Service was ok and food wasn't worth the price we paid. They serve standard pub food. My burger was just that...."standard". We were seated next to the kitchen area so it was a bit noisy. Servers were really busy, but it was a Friday night, so I get why. Overall wasn't too bad of an experience but I guess I expected more.

Food was ok. As well as service. Nothing felt special. The queso dip is probably made with a half a jar of Kraft cheez whiz, meat inside was delicious though (I would've ordered a dish of that, if it was on the menu) I wouldn't recommend the lobster tail tacos ๐ŸŒฎ .(I don't know why every single seafood dish tastes like Falafel_still good _but not LobestrY enough) I think I'll stick with their stakes and burgers they are the BEST, when it comes to those.

Food and service were great as always. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The only reason for the 4 stars is the price, compared to other restaurants in the category that I would put Lone Star into, it's quite expensive. It was over $100 for lunch for 2 of us after tax and tip. Mind you we didn't leave hungry, the portion sizes was good for 2 people. Maybe I am just getting old and remember what it used to cost when eating at Lone Star LOL. Maybe I'll update my rating later. Lone Star is a good choice for a treat, if it's in your price range.

It was a pleasant experience, the service was very good the food was good. They have a good variety of different kind of food. The prices are not cheap but not very expensive somewhere in the middle . Seems to be always busy . I recommend

Just picked up take-out for Mother's Day and the steak for the fahitas was un-edible, it was nothing but fat and felt like eating rubber. SO DISAPPOINTING.

Went for lunch on a Saturday so it wasn't very busy and we had great quick service. Started with a lime Marguerita and natchos. Had the duo chicken and steak fajitas. It was delicious and even had some left over. Had the Key Lime Cheesecake for dessert which two of us enjoyed and the other two didn't like it at all. Just would have been nice to have a coffee with dessert but they don't serve it at that time of day! Will definitely go back or do take out.

Every time we come here it is superb and exceptional service. Had the Grill Chicken Fajita Bowl. First time eating this dish and definitely doesn't disappoint. Great tasting with a little kick with hot peppers etc! Definitely now my favourite when come here. No need for a menu for me!!!

Everything was perfect to me. Friendly service, very nice taste of steak just like I had it in Houston. But, you may not get forks since they often forget providing them. If so, ask them quickly before your dishes get cold.

I loved the food, ambience and everything about this lone star. I have been to other locations but I loved the Baseline location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The meat and veggies were fresh and tasty. The tables, washrooms and common areas were clean.

My father's burger was dry and tough. Very disappointing. I ordered the large corona (32 oz) Sorry, no corona on tap. Ok, I'll have the 710 ml bottle. Sorry, that's out too. Ok fine, small bottle. Success Portion sizes are smaller than in the past and prices are way up since the last time we were there. Hate to say it but we're never going back.

Never had issues from this place but I normally dine in. I Ordered uber eats from here for the first time and it was not good. The food was stone cold by the time it arrived. The lettuce, the tomatoes and the guacamole were off in terms of colour and did not smell fresh. Furthermore I did not receive any tortilla shells with my order of fajitas.

The steak wasn't bad, the alligator bites were quite wonderful. I will more than likely go again. The salsa and seasoned rice were a bit disappointing, but all in all I enjoyed it.

Always a great dinner! Tried the Taco Tuesday this time, and all were delicious! ๐Ÿ˜ Will definitely be going back for more. We also got the pretzel, and omg it's enormous! And soooo delicious in the queso. Recommend!

This is the only food (crispy shrimp tacos) that I get from this restaurant and might be the only one for a while. I go here every time I crave tacos and I'm never disappointed. I love the chips and salsa too! The service providers are lovely. I've had a good experience every time except for the one weird time; however, the good outweighs the one bad experience. I'll definitely visit again.

Terrible quality food. Ordered the full rack of ribs with fries. The serving portion of the ribs was very very small for 38$. Quality was on par with boxed frozen reheat and serve walmart grocery store quality ribs. But that was the least of the issues. The ribs wwre literally cold, not warm, I mean like sitting out on the counter at room temperature kind of cold, fries were horrible, literally cold, mushy and soggy. The baked "beans" they served as a side were so old they were hard and waxy looking, they were in no way what I would call baked beans. The server was very nice and when I requested got me new fried hot from the fryer. Overall for a single chicken fajitas plate for my wife, rack of ribs for me and three alcoholic drinks, for a total of 105$, this was extremely overpriced for the quality of food we received. This is exactly why we 99.999% of the time don't eat at these over priced poor quality reheat type big box store restaurants and stick to maw and paw type small restaurants who actually cook real meals with fresh ingredients and don't reheat frozen factory made bagged meals and charge 2x what they are actually worth. Save yourself the expense and the poor experience and find a small local eatery instead where you can get a fresh made meal that actually is hot and doesn't cost a small fortune.

Went there about a month ago. It was my favourite Lone Star restaurant in the past. Came after work with colleagues. Serving was professional and friendly, so 5 stars for that. The food is 2-3 stars. The big rig burrito was disappointing. I've never seen so much rice in it ever! It took more than 1 hour to get us 4 meals to our table. Unlikely will come back to this location.

Very nice Texas style restaurant, friendly employees. Overall the food is good but overpriced. The outside of the restaurant is not very inviting and needs an update.

Service was great but portions sizes were very disappointing. Our Texas fajita looked like a dos and our jalapeรฑo popper dip came in a skillet that was maybe 1/4 full and the dip didnโ€™t even reach the outside of the skillet.

I gave this location a 5 star because from my initial contact they provided me with exceptional customer service. I contacted them by email 2 months prior to our family event. I received a reply and they worked with me right up to the day, organizing my family special get together. The atmosphere and the service our group received was fantastic. The food was enjoyed by everyone. Mercedes served us with grace. She was a gem. Thank you Lone Star Baseline Road for a memorable Christmas Eve meal.

Good experience visiting Lone Star last night. We've had less enjoyable experiences at the location downtown. This location has good food, and good service. There were no hosts when we arrived which was odd since it was 6pm on a weekday and wasn't particularly busy. We were eventually sat by a head server. The usual complimentary chips and salsa were provided. They are good but nothing to brag about. They are thinner than regular chips and the salsa container is small making it hard to effectively scoop any out. Our server (Margherita?) was very friendly and seemed happy to help us. My partner ordered Enchiladas and I ordered a burger. Meals are priced market appropriate and a person can expect to pay a minimum of $20 for a meal with the avg. plate running around $25. I personally think they are slightly overpriced compared to local alternatives with much lower prices. Her enchelidas were as she expected and had no complaints. My burger on the other hand had a slight imbalance in fresh produce to meat. It was a little overwhelming. Thankfully our server kindly provided me with 2 lettuce leaves and 2 slices of tomato at no extra charge. I am very satisfied with the customer service at the table. Overall great experience, however the issue with the lack of / subpar fresh produce is one I've had at other locations so may be something that needs to be revised. The ambiance was wonderful, music was good, would happily return. I would love for a pasta dish to be added to the menu though!

Great time at the bar on Friday night after work. Grabbed a quick burger that was delicious but sadly I couldnโ€™t finish it. Nice quick meal and excellent service all around. My only complaint is that the bartender brought up the Jays game which he should know was too soon to talk about! But overall would recommend the food, the drinks, and the nice environment.

The oldest location sits on Baseline and Fisher and is famous for what started the whole chain right here in Ottawa and the heart of this location is the bar or the booth styled eating now more commonly know around Ottawa. It make it a great place to wind down after work. The personality always speaks for itself though and you can read the owners own review. That said. I would like to give you a taste of each location around the city. Downtown is easily big style Texas and it is in its own right it's carries a business approach to Lonestar. Want more a family vibe? Kanata location is easily the place to be, wide open and more of a social focused atmosphere for many groups of big gathering. A community hall kind of approach. Party center for older, young even those in college. Goes to St.Laurent.. the whole building is iconic, and they have a different areas that are tailored to the kind of party you want to throw. Weather it's a paint night, sit down at a bar, booth or wind down after work this location has it all. It even use to have a mechanical bull.

Good place for drinks and dinner. The restaurant was very busy, but staff worked harmoniously together to get food out. Quick and great service

Great service and staff, but the food was pretty decent for the price. Might consider coming back again but trying something different than the fajitas.

Great food! The service was perfect, our server who told us to call him Cactus was awesome :) It was my husband's 50th birthday and Cactus sure knew how to make him and our guest feel at home :)

A BIG SHOUTOUT to Smokey from this location on baseline! Despite Skip the Dishes forgetting a part of my order, and the hunt club location completely disregarding my complaint, Smokey at baseline made the whole experience a much more positive one and I will never visit the hunt club location again given how they disregarded my issue and didn't bother to follow up, baseline location saved the day! Baseline is the best location for lone star food and Smokey was wonderful!

Iโ€™d rather eat at Dirty Ronโ€™s! The food was awful. Everything is bland. Salsa is runny with no flavor. Lonestar has hit rock bottom, will never return. You can get 10 times the quality of food at your local Kelseyโ€™s or Broadway. Donโ€™t waste your money!

Always delicious food! Their fajitas are still the best I've ever had. The waiter was super nice. It does get pretty pricey though, it's minimum $20-25 for 1 person.
