130$ later and this is what we had. Bathrooms full of disgusting boogers ! Waiters that spoke NO English. Apparently they don’t take any debit so they try to swindle you if you pay cash. The food was bland and absolutely basic. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. 1/10 if possible.

The food was great. The service was so quick and the price is reasonable (30$) for All what you can eat. The waiter was friendly and attentive . The food didn't take long time to arrive to our table. The 3 stars for the cleaning, our table wasn't that clean. But we loved the experience and definitely will come back.

I recently had the displeasure of dining at 168 Sushi and I have to say it was a complete disappointment. I gave it a 1-star rating because it was the worst sushi I have ever tasted. The salmon roll was nothing but disgusting, the salmon was brown and had a terrible smell. The avocado was dark like it had been out for days and it was filled with rice. The service was really bad, our waitress didn't seem to understand what we wanted and our order came out late. The worst of all was the atmosphere. They blasted songs into your ears and you couldn't even hear yourself speak. It was really unpleasant and ruined the dining experience for us. We came here with our family and ended up spending $140. It was a waste of money as the food and service did not match the price. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was terrible, the service was poor and the atmosphere was unbearable. If you're looking for quality sushi and a good dining experience, this is not the place for you. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The service is quick and they have quite a large variety. The staff is quite attentive and the ambiance is great. Great place to catch up with old friends. This is still my AYCE Sushi place in Ottawa.

All you can eat buffet. Great selection for vegetarians, easy to order using iPad with pictures. Quick to get our food. Will visit again.

I recently visited 168 Sushi, and I have to say it's my absolute favorite all-you-can-eat in Ottawa. The steak and chicken dishes were both delicious, and I especially loved the mango wraps. The variety of dishes available was impressive, and everything was cooked to perfection. The only downside to the restaurant is that you can't order drinks through the tablet, which can make it challenging to get the attention of a waiter during busy times. If they were to implement drink ordering through the tablets, I would give this restaurant a full 5-star rating. Despite this minor issue, I highly recommend 168 Sushi to anyone looking for delicious food and great service. The quality of the food and the variety of options available make it well worth a visit.

It’s okayish. I have had better sushi. There’s room for improvement I believe. But it is quite good for a all-you-can-eat. While I’m in Ottawa and crave for some sushi, this is my go to place.

It is an ideal place if you have a huge appetite and your goal is to stuff your face. Just don’t expect authentic quality Japanese food here. It’s definitely quantity over quality. Not sure I’ll go back. I would also stay away from the “white tuna” - apparently those were not tuna at all and had a funny texture.

It’s not usual to get every single item to be delicious in buffet or all you can eat places; but this place is totally different. Every single items were amazing!!! I am looking forward to visiting again. Just one thing I want to share is the Sushi items are average but rest of the items were very very delicious.

I had a disappointing experience at 168 Sushi restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone. The sushi was of poor quality and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Specifically, the salmon roll was terrible as the salmon was dark in color and unappetizing. I also noticed that the avocado filling was dark, indicating that it was not fresh. Moreover, the rice was substandard and had a strange taste. It was evident that the sushi was not prepared with care or precision. The service wasn't any better either. The staff was unresponsive, uninterested, and unfriendly. They couldn't even manage to serve us in a reasonable time frame. We had to wait for such a long time for our food that it was almost unbearable. But the worst thing about this place was the atmosphere. They had a speaker blaring such loud music that I couldn't even hear myself speak. It was extremely uncomfortable and ruined our dining experience entirely. In conclusion, it was an overall unpleasant experience, to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this sushi restaurant to anyone.

If there were .5 stars to give - I'd give this place a 2.5 stars... 😬, the food is okay. It's passable. Given that it's ayce it feels like the food has been sitting out in the back and scooped to order. They're are slightly better ayce places in Ottawa imo. To start with the good, I liked the mango salad, the shrimp skewers, the Miso soup, the kalbi, the mackerel, and the surf clam sashimi. Things I think could have been done better, the eggplant - typically it's the whole eggplant is cooked, and cooked more fully. The fried chicken is dry. The tempura is mostly batter. The sushi has too much rice and been sitting for a while. The octopus sashimi is way too chewy. Tofu has the frozen freezer taste. I think everything is just mediocre. Would I come back? If someone really wanted to come I can go with them, but I wouldn't suggest going.

We went here for dinner. I was bewildered at how quickly they gave our food. Everything tasted amazing and was perfectly prepared. I would definitely come here again!

Let me start by saying I have no malintent in writing this review. I went to this restaurant with high expectations and was very disappointed. The food was cold, not fresh and tasted like freezer. The rice was over cooked and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Overall you could just taste the tired long journey of each dish and it was not very pleasant. I feel bad writing this review but I feel it’s necessary for the growth and improvement of this establishment. Not sure why any of the other reviews didn’t mention the truth but here’s mine. I’d love to come back if things are improved but I can’t say I’ll be recommending this restaurant to anybody as of right now.

Very disappointed. Tempura was stone cold, food was low quality, tasteless and bland. Disgustingly busy, couldn't even get a booth. Wasn't very many options on the menu for vegetarians. Crispy tofu had the taste and texture of hard bread - could not eat it. Had to send it back. Didn't receive alot of my food the first time. Servers were miserable and not very attentive. Been to many ayce places and this one was at the very bottom. Cannot recommend.

Great sushi. I'm very particular with my food but find most items here pretty fresh. Service is ok but we go mostly because of the food. Book in advance as they fill up quickly. You don't pay for the taxes if you pay by cash.

Saturday, the ingredients were indeed fresh, but the service left us perplexed. We had ordered 2 or 3 portions of beef ribs, but initially received only one. However, just as we were about to finish our meal, a large plate of beef ribs was suddenly served... We were all full, and we were so broken looking at this last pile of cowboy bones🤣

Food is alright, salmon taste fresh . Servers average. The restroom is really dirty ,

This has got to be one of the best all-you-can-eat sushi buffets in Ottawa. Oddly enough, my favorite item here is the salmon belly. The salmon sashimi would probably be my second favourite item; it's always soft, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Of course, I like the sushi, too. And the speed at which I got the dishes after submitting the orders through the iPad was amazing; just 2 to 3 minutes and the food was ready.

The sashimi was extremely good! We got here at 7 so it was extremely busy and had to wait but were seated rather quickly and the service was very quick too. The food was quite yummy.

For 35$ I would say the quantity is pretty good. They have a wide variety of dishes . But I wouldn't say the same for quality and service.

Food was pretty good. And I am from Vancouver! Fresh, appealing, tasty. There is a bar for salads, desert which could be organized prettier. However, I am just being picky. Bar for was good quality too. Highly recommend this location.

Amazing sushi. I like their way of ordering so there’s less wastage. Give two star less for the soups and desserts. Very limited variety of desserts (just mousse and ice cream) for a $30 per person buffet.
