Went today and there was a woman (being a bit ridiculous about her order) that I was standing behind for at least ten minutes (not exaggeration) without things looking like they were going to be resolved. I eventually asked them if it would be possible to open another register, but the manager dealing with the woman was not at all helpful to the younger cashier who wasn’t sure what to do, and was fairly rude about the request to begin with. We got our order and left, took a bite of the orange scone after we were already on the road and it was raw in the middle. The sandwich was made on the wrong kind of bread and my sister wasn’t able to eat it because she has some specific food sensitivities. So essentially we paid $20 to wait 25 minutes for an order that wasn’t edible. Really disappointed in the quality of service and products because Panera has always been a great choice for us. Likely will find another go-to.

I stopped by for lunch - I really loved their bread bowl soups. I also really like their Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt sandwich. However, when I tried their new Green Goddess Chicken Caprese on toasted baguette, I felt like they were missing the Caprese part. There was a teeny amounts of cheese, but it didn’t feel like a Caprese sandwich without sliced mozzarella cheese? The Green Goddess Aioli was delicious though. Just wish it had a bit more cheese on the sandwich, otherwise it would have been a better experience. :)

My first time going here they burnt my sandwich. They sent me a coupon to remedy the situation, so I went again and they got my order right. Yay! Went a 3rd time and they said I had a free coffee on my rewards card. So I got a coffee, even though I wasn’t planning to. Lo and behold, they charged me for it. It’s been a year since then, so I decided to give them another try today for my birthday. A place can’t mess up this many times right? Yep. I got a salad and they not only forgot the dressing, but the lettuce is all old and wilted, and not edible. This place needs a serious lesson on quality control.

This was my first time visiting Panera Bread. The lady who took my order was very nice and was patient with me as I was choosing my food items. However, while I was waiting for my food at the take out counter I encountered an extremely rude, full of attitude lady who was annoyed at everyone and everything. I understand that it was at a busy time but the attitude was very unnecessary. I noticed only my name disappear from the screen where it said my food was ready so I mentioned that to the lady. I was met with a very stark ‘YES, I printed it manually’ I said okay no problem. Another 15 min goes by and I see other people who ordered after me get their food and leave - this wasn’t the order ahead folks. I then approached her again and said ‘it’s totally okay if my order hasn’t been started yet as I am waiting for my appointment next door at the dentist’ She grabbed the receipt ferociously from the counter and said ‘waiting for the soup’ I said ‘no problem’ She handed the other orders to customers that were ready, gently. When it came to my order she literally threw it on the counter with one hand in disgust. I am not a confrontational person nor do I ever give retail workers a hard time - I was in shock! I wanted to speak to the manager but I had to be at my appointment within a few minutes so I didn’t get a chance to. I will definitely call the store to speak to a manager. I don’t even want a refund but damn what did I do to her to deserve her attitude and disgust towards me?

There is a drive-thru which is great! I ordered the Margherita pizza which was amazing! The pie was crispy with the cheese melted perfectly and a good amount of sauce. It was a shame that they weren’t selling iced lattes at the time I came so instead I opted for a pop, and sadly the machine was low on carbonation so my drink came out flat. For my visit that would be the only concern.

I always go there when I'm staying close to the airport, their Green Goddess Caprese Melt is to die for. What made me want to write a review was the staff's friendliness. They were noticeably nice, helpful, and smiling in a genuine manner! It's too bad you can't leave a tip when paying with a card :( I always look forward to go back!

I remember when this location opened and how welcoming and good the food used to be! It has gone down hill since then for sure. First, twice in different visits no baguette available as a side with your order (it is called Panera Bread, or the baguette is no longer a bread?), the shelves always look sad and empty now (including the beverages at the front), and apparently today they are out of mayo too. Maybe better prepare and supply a bread and sandwich shop? Just overall a sad sight and experience.

Went on a friday afternoon. Excellent spot for a quick lunch. There is a drive through. The service was quick. We ordered the avocodo chicken melt and an autumn squash soup (comes with 2 free sides, so we got the baguette and apple). The soup and bread was delicious.

When Panera opened in town a few years ago, it was great; a nice, cozy atmosphere. However, the atmosphere has gone downhill. It is so quiet, - no background music like they used to have. You practically need to whisper that’s how quiet it is. The food is good, a bit overpriced, but is still a nice treat once in a while. This is the only Panera in the region, make it more memorable for customers!

I have tried few things from them. Some of the sandwiches are good like the chicken chipotle. The steak was not good . The bread is the star . Prices are ok the drinks are good if made propyl. They didn’t have tissues.

This place is going downhill fast, this is my third try, the first I had the broccoli cheddar soup and tuna salad, I wanted Tomato basil bread but they didn't have any, it was fairly decent, went back again, they didn't have the Tomato basil bread, again, and the tiny serving of tuna was pretty sad for the price. I decieed to give it another shot, but this my final time, was even more disappointing, the french onion soup, they gave me a tiny bit of mozzarella, the size of a quarter, and the croutons were disgustingly stale! I ordered the chicken salad, it was a disgrace as far as a sandwich went, there was barely any chicken at all, and they forgot the mayo and special sauce, oh and guess which bread they didn't have again, tomato basil, so although the food taste good, it is 100% not worth what you get with all the other great sandwich shops in Ottawa, this place has 100% lost my business. Do better panera

Eager to try their dine in service, we went to Panera Bread for lunch on October 7th. The food was good but presentation left something to be desired. The sandwich maker clearly took no pride in their work. The pieces of bread were not together in the bag and the sandwich contents were stuck to the bag. These lunches did not travel far, they merely went from the kitchen to the table on a tray. You can do much better than this, Panera!

I had the broccoli mac and cheese bread bowl and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was a bit hard but makes sense since it is used as the bowl. It tasted great though. The mac and cheese had great flavour as well. The line up and service was not bad at all, took a reasonable amount of time. I would return for sure, and even get this same item again too. Wish there were more locations in Ottawa

The sandwiches are pretty good but I think the food is a bit overpriced as I paid $30 for a sandwich, drink, and a salad. I tried the agave lemonade but it tasted watered down so I ended up drinking the passion papaya iced green tea which was okay but not really worth buying. I was kind of confused with the “you pick 2” part of their menu so I ended up ordering more, thinking that I’d save money. Personally, I don’t think the food was worth the price I paid, but I’d totally be willing to go back and try their baked goods section

Really really overrated! Food is mediocre at best and overpriced. I don’t understand the hype. I gave it a try a couple of times. If you are here though, try the cookies. The only good thing here.

They gave me disgusting rotten salad greens and wanted me to tip for drive thru order. Seriously? Like the prices are not way overpriced already! I was a loyal Panera customer in the States but this one here was truly disappointing. Not coming back!

Good was great! Customer service was lacking. Even though they're was no way in dining the dining room that you had to walk thru to exit was disgustingly dirty. No advertising of sweets even though they had them. Customer service was terrible the clerk was short and miserable. As a Pantera member she seemed bothered when i took out my card to scan. Not my normal expectation at a panera bread.

Used to be great pre-andemic, but staff seem overworked and agitated, with very slow service. Though you can buy bread products including baguettes to have with your meal, we were advised (after paying and waiting 30+ minutes) that they hadn't had butter or margarine "in weeks", so there was no way to enjoy the bread products. Unfortunate shift as this business was a welcome one in Ottawa.

We drove two hours to go to this panera. It is drive through only and the line was fairly long. All the employees we interacted with were friendly, kind and hospitable. The food was so delicious it was well worth the long drive thru wait. We went back again a second time and there were only a few cars ahead of us. The food was excellent again and all the workers were all friendly and polite. I would definitely drive here again since the borders are still closed. Thank you for an amazing experience, the good service really makes a difference and can make someone’s day! 🙏🏽☺️

The wait to order my lunch was no long and the staff were very quick to place it in the line. I ordered a pecan Brie. Which was fresh and tasty as a dessert after my meal. My dessert fell down as the package was defective and I was replaced with a new one right away, which showed the professionalism of the staff. I ordered a whole tuna sandwich and the quantity was amazing, the taste was good but the quantity of tuna was quite less, compared to the size of the sandwich. Amazing sitting arrangements and great infrastructure to enjoy a date, brunch or lunch. Parking is limited and it's hard to park a big vehicle.

A delicious and well maintained eatery with polite staff and great product. If you've been to other locations you'll know what you get here and it lives up to the standard. Food is fairly priced and portions are just right. Obviously food is a bit salty/greasy as you'd expect from a chain but as fast food goes its a very reliable and tasty place to eat.

Tried the new mac and cheese sandwich was good. But I don't think it is worth the price they are charging. I had the whole sandwich my wife had a half ,2 americano and it was over 30 dollars.

Every time I try to order panera off of SkipTheDishes there seems to be an issue every single time. When u call the store they never answer. They cancel delivery orders and never turn the delivery app on in time. I love the food here but really wish the orders were more consistent and the managers were more present.

This place is great as they offer hearty and healthy meals, the only downside to it is the ancient and limited menu they have. I think Panera should revamp their entire menu and include more and better options. Also staff at this location should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the branch as most of the tables had to be wiped down when i was there. Overall i recommend Panera!

This is literally the most disgusting restaurant I've ever been to in Ottawa. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, four staff members visible. The female washroom was horrifying - there were wet floor signs everywhere yet there was literally urine all over the seats, no toilet paper, and obvious mold. I am really just disturbed. We will never eat here again and I don't think anyone should. Once I saw the washroom and then the kitchen prep area (when I went to speak to someone), I couldn't eat my meal. The kitchen prep station looked filthy as well and it took over five minutes for someone to acknowledge me standing at the counter. I provided feedback to the staff that were working, but I'm confident that he has no control over anything. I hate being 'that person' in a restaurant as so many of these workers are severely underpaid, under-supported - but holy cow, this restaurant WAS BAD.

Nice "fast food" alternative that is a little more on the healthy side. I really enjoy the tikka masala soup.

Literally ended up so much because of how great everything tastes here and I am always happy when visiting here for breakfast. Absolutely love it!

Tried this location recently and was absolutely shocked on how downhill it has gone over the past 3 years. The restaurant was absolutely disgusting in terms of cleanliness (tables and floors full of pieces of food and garbage and looked to be there from breakfast even though it was dinner time when we ate; pics included) and the pizza was honesty the worst I have ever eaten (not actually pizza however more of a stale flatbread with a runny tomato soup type substance vice tomato sauce). I am not a picky eater by any means and aim to give honest and forthright opinions regarding my dining experiences. That said, I will never return to this location...I believe it may be the worst dining experience I have ever had. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

It's unfortunate that there is only one location in Ottawa. They are always busy here so sometimes it can take a while but the staff still do a good job keeping up with the drive thru and dine-in orders. It is definitely pricey menu. Their baked goods are delicious but be ready to spend a few extra $$. Highly recommend the kitchen sink cookie, brownie, orange cranberry muffin. Loved the tomato soup and their sandwiches (both hot and cold) are really nice. Also recommend their hazelnut coffee.

Amazing. Panera is my absolute favourite place. Drove from Montreal to get the cinnamon crunch bagel, very delicious I recommend. The cheddar and broccoli soup was amazing as well and the service was great. After leaving we went back through the drive through so we could get a dozen take away bagels, the service was fast and the food was great.

Update: the manager called me and refunded me plus a free meal. It seems the early signoff isn't a norm. Ordered for pickup at 7pm. When I arrived, nobody was in the shop while the door was open. It looked so wired. My food was nowhere to be found. I guess they were all gone before my order was placed.
