The staff are friendly and the service is good. It's a fair deal for the price if you have a car. There's not much to walk to from here. Breakfast and coffee are marginal, at best and no fresh eggs available. There is fresh fruit, bagels and bacon/sausage available though. Also, there's a great chinese restaurant across the street.

Where it counts this hotel is 5 stars. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms are large and the a/c is great and the food in the morning is quite good for a hotel breakfast. The drawbacks are frustrating but not significant for me. The WiFi is really really bad. Really the worst of any hotel I have stayed at. Frequently I found it better to shut off WiFi and use my phone's cellular than to use the hotels WiFi. Also the TVs have almost no channels and are not smart TVs so you cannot stream from your phone or tablet to use your streaming service. So there is rarely anything to watch and no alternative. Lastly the house keeping isn't great. They do daily house keeping but don't change the sheets unless asked even when they are clearly dirty, after a 10 day stay they never once provided new cups or coffee etc.. and seemed to not even pick stuff off the floor let alone vacuum. I overheard one person say they don't do the same service for people staying over that they do for people who are starting a new reservation, which seems unfair as I'm paying the same rate each night as the person who is staying for just one night. I don't expect that my clean sheets should be changed as that's wasteful but if they're clearly dirty they should be changed, if there is stuff on the floor it should be vacuumed and if there's no coffee cups left and no coffee left put out new stuff. However all of that being said the most important thing for me in a hotel stay is a comfortable bed so I get a good night's sleep, a cool room on a hot Summer's Day and a comfortable room and this hotel delivers all of that. There are other little things like no microwave in the room and I am in a wheelchair so stayed in an accessible room but the beds are at normal height which would make it very difficult to get in and out of bed had I not had assistance. Also, for some reason the soap dispenser in the bathroom is nearly unreachable by someone in a chair or for a child. I do want to say that the front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful and that had I brought any of these issues to their attention I'm sure they would have gone out of their way to rectify the problems but as they were only inconveniences to me I did not bother to bring them up. However whenever I asked for extra towels or needed assistance with anything they were always ready to help, really great customer service!

We stayed for 4 nights in the suite with jacuzzi. The hotel's most expensive suite. And here is the bummer. The jacuzzi did not work properly. Four jets out of seven were broken. Our repeated requests to fix the problem were ignored as well as to meet with a manager who was never on property. The room was very stuffy as the windows could not be open. If you decide to stay here bring your own food. The food for breakfast was not good at all on the border with not edible. The water in the pool was dirty. And please spare me all kind of excuses and apologies in your reply. Nobody is interested in those. Every room should be meticulously checked before guests arrive. I've been Platinum member for over 30 years and I've stayed in a lot of properties. I cannot recommend this one.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars I recently had a wonderful experience at Holiday Inn, and I'm compelled to share my gratitude through this review. I encountered an issue with my IHG membership points and reached out to the hotel's customer service. The gentleman I spoke to over the phone went above and beyond to help me resolve the matter promptly. His dedication and willingness to assist were truly commendable. Thanks to his efforts, I was able to retrieve my missing points without any hassle. It's not often that customer service exceeds expectations, but my experience with Holiday Inn left me thoroughly impressed. I'd also like to extend my appreciation to the manager for fostering a culture of exceptional customer care. It's clear that the team at this hotel values its guests and is committed to ensuring their satisfaction. My stay at Holiday Inn was made even more enjoyable by this exceptional level of service. I look forward to returning to this establishment in the future, knowing that I'll be in capable hands. Thank you once again to the entire team at Holiday Inn for their outstanding assistance and dedication to making guests feel valued.

The windows don't open, the breakfast was 2/5, the location is about a 20min drive from downtown, and the pool water was cloudy and looked like it needed changing. The windows not opening is a minor quibble, but the location means you need a vehicle if you intend to do anything touristy downtown. The hotel does have a decently sized car park, and it's free. It's also somewhat close to the highway so heading out isn't too inconvenient. That said, constantly having to drive everywhere can get really tedious, really fast. The breakfast was just subpar all around. Not explicitly bad, just not particularly good, be it the sausages, the bacon, or the eggs. Good apple juice though, and the breakfast was included. I found 3 dead flies and a clump of hair in the pool. The sign telling people to shower before getting in the pool is tucked away in a corner with the shower itself, so no one sees the sign or uses the shower. I only went in once, and once was enough for me. There's also a gym next to the pool. The staff were nice and friendly enough. If all you need is a place to sleep and you've got your own vehicle it's not bad. Just don't expect too much.

Horrible experience was there for soccer tournament and did not go well as soon as we entered building. Gave us wrong room at first as we supposed to get 2 queen beds and sofa but only 1 bed 1 sofa. Then gave us another room door would not open went downstairs and gave another card still not open. Maintenance guy came and said door handle is broken but they had no other room for us. Me and my daughter tearing up our thumb all weekend struggling to open door. Room was still wrong as well as it had 2 beds but no sofa. Ice machine broken on our floor. Fridge froze all of our food as there was no dial to turn down. Sent message on survey form said someone would get in touch with us within 24hrs no response in 4 days.

From previous stays I would give this hotel a good review but today I tried to get a room paying cash with a security deposit as I don't have any credit cards and I was refused. Now this hotel warrants zero stars. Not everyone has credit cards and those who don't should still be allowed to rent a room if we give a security deposit for any incidentals. I needed a room for one night for my six year old son and myself. Thank you Holiday Inn for your consideration.

The hotel's location was convenient, situated near restaurants and the highway. However, the hotel room had a slight musty smell, the pull out sofa very uncomfortable and the air conditioning filter was quite dirty, requiring me to remove and clean it. The check-in process was swift, and complimentary breakfast and parking was provided. Our stay lasted only one night, which proved to be sufficient.

I spoke with Christine G. at the third. party Getaroom/priceline and conferenced with the hotel manager G. Singh who was most professional, courteous and understanding. Mr. Singh immediately approved not charging for my reservation in August and I have been assured by Getaroom that Mastercard will not reflect any charge for the cancelled reservation. I appreciate the response of the hotel manager and his prompt reply to my phone call. As indicated my family has stayed at Holiday Inns for the past 35 years and after this resolution we will continue to do so. We have enjoyed our stay at West Nepean previously and look forward to repeat visits. This time I will make sure to book DIRECTLY through the hotel to avert confusion. Thank you for your concern.

We had a great stay. Room was very clean, quite large and comfortable. Loved the dove products in the bathroom. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was good with lots of options, nice pool. We had a great stay. My 7 year old loved it so much he left them a note and gave them 5 stars, lol.

Had family staying here can only comment on their stay. It was a King Suite room with small kitchen type area. Had ample space. Pullout couch was comfortable to sit. They had a nice big bed. Cozy pillows was a bit on the softside. Not sure about service but they seemed very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. A/C came on alot they said, they had a hard time with it. Pool was nice smaller sized. But, kids had fun spending family time there. Really warm water which felt great. Nice sized gym. And breakfast area. But, again I had family here. So can't give a great review. But location is wonderful, close to restaurants and grocery. Hop skip and jump from Terry Fox area with lots of shopping to be had.

Great hotel , everything from my stay was wonderful for being a gold member I was upgraded to a suite which was a nice suprise at check in . The rooms were very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. The beds were comfortable. Front desk staff was great upon check in and check out. Breakfast is as good as it comes at a continental breakfast . I will re visit this hotel my next trip to Ottawa.

I had a 2 day stay here with my family.. and it was nice. Rooms and hallways are clean. Breakfast is superb, not some shabby breakfasts served in other hotels. Indoor swimming pool and gym. Nice places to eat around also.

We stayed for 2 nights and the room was great! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The only suggestion is the chairs in the dining area should probably be cleaned a little. Thanks for the great stay!

I just finished staying at a couple hotels, and this hotel is by far the best out of all of them, even compared to the more expensive room I booked at Hilton after. Would recommend for everyone, especially families! Room service and front desk was amazing, we were always greeted with enthusiasm and smiles.

Normally I love the service at this hotel Kim at the desk is absolutely amazing and I would never have a negative opinion on her. Although Diane at the desk is very fast to want to just shoot you off to someone else but I need service from in the hotel due to a rate code because of how often I stayed. I asked for a manager then suddenly she wanted to help but I my opinion until I said manager she had no urge to assist me. Needless to say I will be reaching the gm of this hotel and I will likely not stay again. I have spent many days here and it was always convenient

Staff was amazing and very accommodating, the rooms were a nice big size and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciate that they never canceled our booking or any bookings during the freedom convoy. Awesome job guys keep it up :)

Great hotel experience overall. Stayed here with several coworkers who were attending a business symposium in town. Staff were very accommodating and polite. Breakfast was fantastic, they catered to the needs of my coworkers helping them in the business centre and made restaurant recommendations that were on par too. I'd definitely come back here in the future.

Staff was amazing and very accommodating, the rooms were a great size and very, very, clean. We enjoyed our 4 day stay very much. The breakfast was delicious and was a good variety every day, and it offered something for everyone. The eating and service area were very clean. The kitchen staff was friendly. Would highly recommend booking here again. 5⭐️

We booked a king suite for 4 nights. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable. The shower was very big and the Dove bath products were nice. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband used the gym and went in early to beat the crowd. Earlier opening hours for the gym would be helpful. Would like to see more weightlifting machines. They had a good variety of breakfast items. Overall a great hotel experience !! Kudos to the lady at the front desk who looked up nearby stores and activities for me and she was very friendly !!

Had a great weekend here on a little stay-cation. We booked the king suite with a jetted tub, initially had a mix up with the room but it was corrected immediately and we were very happy! The tub was big enough to fit two people very comfortably and the bathroom was spotless. The bed & bedding were extremely comfortable and it's the first hotel I've stayed at where I didn't use the blankets and pillows I brought with me because it felt clean enough to sleep on. The breakfast is better than most continental breakfasts I've had, but not amazing- the hot food was just kept in trays with no heating element so it wasn't very hot, but at least it wasn't just muffins and juice. Would stay here again! All staff is still wearing masks which is nice to see, too.
