Absolutely horrible, the staff are horrendous, they are renovating and I am woken every day by ear piercing drilling(I work afternoons). I am slowly becoming sleep deprived and will succumb to madness in due time.

With the price of over 200.00 for 1 night stay I feel hot water should be a guarantee unfortunately that did not happen. I requested a room change and was told they would have maintenance look at it the following morning. I was finally moved to a new room, the following morning I had to call the front desk for a hair dryer. You would think that the amount one pays that would be included in the room. I feel this place is way overpriced for service provider

We decided to stay in this hotel because of its location and because of my Marriot Bonvoy’s membership. Two things that really surprised me were the breakfast and the room refresh when away. The first one is from 6-9am weekdays and 7-10am weekends. We went down on a normal Thursday at 7:45am and nothing to eat. We needed to wait 10min to see some of the food coming back but not much and quite a few people were waiting to get some. Not a desirable situation if you are coming down from your room and then seeing that food is running out because there is not enough for everyone. Then we left the hotel around 9am giving them enough time to do the rooms and we got back at 4pm and the room was the same. Went down to the front desk and I was told that rooms are now “refreshed” every four days. I have requested to get our room cleaned and new towels, they agreed to do it. Lady also mentioned that this is specified in small letters when you make the reservations online. I always read all the info about the rooms and this is the first time I am hearing this. My wife stayed a couple of months in a Courtyard from the Marriot group and she got daily refresh. Probably location based but apparently this is a new trend from them after Covid, a very bad policy for us their customers.

Staff are very pleasant, Our room was an upgrade and is bigger than the regular rooms that I'm use to. the Location is great, close to most restaurants, stores, rinks . I haven't seen the breakfast yet but show pics. The gym is small but has the basics. The pool is also small, but good if you what to sit around. Pic to follow.

We checked in for a hockey tournament May 12-14th. Upon arrival Friday day we got an early check in from Justin at the front desk. He was prompt and friendly. I have never seen such a smooth and efficient check in for so many rooms. We had an early game Sunday morning. The hotel serves a complimentary breakfast starting at seven. As our game was at eight we would have had to leave before breakfast was available. Justin requested on Saturday for breakfast to be put out early for us at 6:30 so we could all eat before having to leave for the arena. Which is literally two minutes from the hotel. Justin also made a point all weekend to ask how we were making out in our tournament. This hotel was like a breath of fresh air. We also extended check out to noon which wasn’t a problem. You don’t find customer service like this often these days. The staff went above and beyond for us all weekend. Very helpful. All the staff were kind and very accommodating. We highly recommend. Room was very big, clean and had everything we needed.

We had a great stay! They went the extra mile for making our daughter's birthday special by adding balloons, personalized card and treats for her.. all without asking and as a complete surprise! Extremely thoughtful and warm staff. Really appreciate it! Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay here as the rooms were nice, beds comfortable, and shower was good. Front desk service was great. Gave it 4/5 as the provided breakfast was poorly managed. The food that was available was good but the staff tasked to manage it just did the basics. I watched them slowly move through the space while ignoring empty pastries section, water station and almost gone eggs. All of this while it was super busy midway through the service window.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Ottawa Kanata, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Despite arriving later than our planned check-in time, we were delighted to find ample space in the parking lot, and the reception staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness, instantly making us feel at home. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and it was a relief to discover that all the essential toiletries were readily available, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay. As we rushed to check out in the morning, the staff's extraordinary hospitality shone through once again. They graciously provided us with convenient take-away packs for breakfast, going above and beyond to make our departure smooth and stress-free. Our overall experience at Fairfield Inn & Suites was truly excellent, and we are eagerly anticipating our next stay. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for creating such memorable moments during our visit. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Ottawa.

We were very pleased with the service provided by staff. We had a special request in that we were travelling with 12 frozen pies and arrangements were made for the pies to spend the night in the breakfast room kitchen freezer. We would like to thank Justin for his help in that. The room was clean and spacious and we could access Prime and Netflix on the TV. Overall, a very good experience

Highly recommend this hotel! All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay perfect & accommodate your requests. The General Manager (Dave Fowler) asked how my visit was, and is always looking for feedback from guests. The rooms were very clean and nice. The breakfast in the morning is a nice benefit when staying here. Highly recommend, and will stay again in the future.

Stayed here just for one night to celebrate a buddy's birthday in Stittsville. Booked using Bonvoy points. Tried online check in when we were around 30 min away. Upon arrival was told room was not yet available - not a big deal - went to get some eats, and an hour later we are able to get into our room. We had a suite that had a living area with a couch and TV separate from the bedroom. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, washroom fit the bill .Overall no problem. The free breakfast is what you would expect : some eggs, sausage patties, yogurt etc. The only reason not to give five stars is this: upon checking in we noticed the TV in the bedroom could not connect to anything. i.e. the usual hotel welcome screen didn't appear. Despite looking like all the HDMI cables were attached (although i couldn't see the source because it was behind the cabinetry) there was no signal. Through the app I contacted the service desk and asked if someone could do whatever was needed to connect it to the usual source while we left for the evening for the party. We were told someone would definitely come. When we returned, TV still wasn't connected. I'm not sure whether nobody came vs came and connected it but then it disconnected. I'm 99.9% sure this isn't an issue of me not figuring out how to turn on the TV system properly. When checking out, I mentioned this to the front desk staff mainly to get them to look at it again before the next guest checked in. He responded that this happens frequently in that type of room because kids sometime attach their consoles to the TV. Overall would I stay here again for a wedding, party or Sens game? Sure - but for the right price.

Stayed at this property a few times for business, if just looking for a night to crash, this is a decent place, room is big with separate seating area, however; decors are dated and room I just stayed at yesterday washroom door could not be closed completely, the pillow was super hard and I woke up 4am, 5am and 6am being fairly uncomfortable. Breakfast is provided in the morning, don’t expect anything fancy but something to fill your stomach. Hotel is in a fairly convenient location with chained restaurants nearby, its not your typical Marriott, but for business trip its not a bad choice.

This was a wonderful experience for us. We were in town for a wedding. We asked for early check in so we could get ready and they let us in as early as 11am! (the other hotel down the street was charging an additional $150 to check in early). On top of the early check in, they upgraded our room at no charge. They were just super friendly people. Amazing rooms. Clean. Tons of parking. Breakfast in the morning. Just all around a great stay 😊 we will definitely be back!

We had a nice, quiet room on the fourth floor. Check-in was fast and friendly. Decent coffee at breakfast. Every staff member we dealt with was excellent. Bottled water was overpriced at $2.50/ bottle, and we were disappointed there was no hot tub - just the pool. We would stay again.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Room was more than adequate and sucked with enough towels to last a week. Free breakfast was decent but nothing to write home about. It did the trick just fine.

Conveniently located near the highway in Kanata. Love to stay here when I'm visiting Ottawa and don't want to deal with downtown. Rooms are clean and fresh, staff are always nice at check-in. Breakfast is a nice bonus as well.

TLDR: Been at better 2 stars Booked for my family which included two small children. Was told to park around the side with only the entrance being stairs in a narrow hall (try that with a stroller and bags etc. Get to our room and it's cheap, but trashed, (light fixtures falling off the wall and not operative) air conditioner not working etc.) We were placed in the middle of a hockey party with said party around us and also in an adjoining room. Exterior is falling apart (concrete chips all over ground, pathways have pylons covering holes grass not maintained) Breakfast was powdered egg and packaged sausage patties only. Eaten off disposable paper plates and plastic forks. Management was demeaning when confronted with issues, low level staff was friendly, courteous and genuinely good people.

Don't stay in the room above the breakfast area. You'll hear the chairs scape the floor and screech all morning. Nice room with decent bed and good cleaning staff. Bathroom is good size.

Came here the night of Toto/Journey concert. It is close to the Canadian Tire Centre. Lots of nearby restaurants. Great little room. We'll stay here again!! The ladies at check-in were quite personable and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you!!!

Our one only request was to please please place us in a quiet room, to which we got a very favourable response since the hotel was quite empty that day. Room was very clean and spacious enough. As we wound down to bed around 10 pm ready for an early-morning engagement, to my surprise were 2 very loud guests placed right next to our room when most other rooms were vacant.(we were informed). Talking continued til well past midnight despite a polite request. When this matter was discussed with reception staff the next morning, there were no apologies; “That’s weird” was the answer. Gone are the days of professionalism and making guests feel welcome and taken care of. I gather some more training is definitely in order however we won’t be back and I honestly wouldn’t recommend this particular hotel.

We stayed here on a hockey night. I can't blame the staff for the other residents and I won't, but that was a major issue. There was a loud drunk family in the *adjoining* room to ours, and whom had lengthy loud discussions in the hall just outside our door. Knowing they had multiple rooms booked I would have liked to be reached out to, to see if arrangements could be made to switch? Idk. I'm sure the hotel was fully booked but it seems inconsiderate to put a couple in a connecting family suite. On that note, regardless of whether the other tenants were so rowdy (in their rooms), our room was not insulated well. We were up against the stairwell and every time someone used it, it was loud enough to wake us up, and it even shook the headboard! We pretty much couldn't sleep. The bathroom's water seals were breaking. The heavy glass door could open in and hit itself on the metal assistance bar (unsafe). The shower tap was unusually hard to use and get the temperature right.

The room was great and the staff was excellent. Even with a huge amount of hockey families at the hotel the staff was able to accommodate my desire for a quiet, relaxing stay. Breakfast was great and everything was seamless overall. Even when the hockey kids broke the elevator the staff was very proactive and made sure I was able to get back and forth to my room without trouble. They even offered to carry my bags up four flights of stairs. I'd stay here again.

Nothing less than perfect! We loved our family stay; the room was perfect, spacious and beds were very comfortable, stand up shower and very clean bathroom. Staff was excellent, were helpful in every way possible. Breakfast was the best we've had at a hotel, wonderful fresh selection. Pool area is nice but pool wouldn't be ideal for the older kids as it is kind of small. My daughter got a really bad rash from being in the water but it was clear the next day. We will return and highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Closest lodging to the Canadian Tire Centre for NHL games & concerts. 1.3 km walk versus sitting in the expected huge traffic jams. Hotel offers excellent quality accommodations; well-appointment rooms - decor, size, comfort, bedding, temperature. Scrumptious “continental” breakfast with so many choices. Helpful & pleasant staff. Our choice of hotel in the area.

We travelled to Ottawa to celebrate a 70th birthday and attend a hockey game with friends and family. The hotel was clean comfortable , rooms were spacious and well appointed and the hotel had all the amenities we needed. They were able to accommodate our group so we were in close proximity to each other and our suite was ideal for hosting a mixed age group from toddlers to boomers for some pregame snacks. The staff were so welcoming and helpful . The access to the Canadian Tire Center for the Sens game was ideal. We recommend this hotel highly.
