I
researched
this
campground
and
others
in
the
Ottawa
area.
I
booked
this
campground
mainly
for
the
proximity
to
Ottawa,
the
dog
park
(which
is
advertised
on
their
webpage)
and
the
reviews
I
read.
Every
bad
review
I
read
was
about
the
management
staff,
not
the
facilities,
so
this
is
really
a
review
about
the
campground
so
others
will
not
be
blindsided
like
I
was.
The
facility
and
items
advertised
are
not
as
they
appear.
It
does
have
a
pretty
decent
heated
pool,
the
playground
was
smaller
than
what
is
in
my
backyard
and
consisted
of
broken
slides
which
looks
like
they
were
found
on
the
side
of
the
road
and
an
old
tractor
tire.
It
did
have
a
soccer
field
but
I
couldn't
tell
if
the
volleyball
area
was
communal
or
a
part
of
someone's
site.
We
stayed
on
a
30/50
amp
big
rig
site
which
was
advertised
as
*all*
having
a
fire
pit.
We
did
not
have
one.
In
fact,
only
about
2/3rd
of
these
sites
have
one.
We
noticed
before
we
unhitched,
and
I
went
and
questioned
it.
We
were
told
to
use
the
site
behind
us
because
it
is
never
used.
We
bought
wood
from
the
campground
and
then
went
out
for
dinner.
When
we
got
home
after
the
office
hours
and
such
it
was
closed,
they
had
placed
someone
on
that
site
(even
though
there
were
numerous
other
sites
available)
for
the
night.
No
fire
for
us
that
evening.
WIFI
is
pretty
much
non-existent.
We
were
placed
between
two
different
WIFI
towers
and
couldn't
get
a
signal.
I
stood
beside
each
tower
and
couldn't
get
a
signal.
Only
place
you
could
find
it
was
at
the
office
or
by
the
washrooms.
Now
the
dog
park.
Oi....This
was
not
a
dog
park,
nor
a
dog
run.
This
was
a
15
x
10
rent-a-fence
enclosed
area,
even
the
smallest
of
dogs
couldn't
run
in
this
enclosure
and
get
tired.
My
front
porch
is
bigger
than
this
enclosure,
there
is
no
way
this
is
a
dog
park.
And
to
get
to
the
so
called
dog
park
you
had
to
walk
through
other
camp
sites/dedicated
tenting
sites.
There
was
no
way
to
get
to
it
otherwise.
Never
once
did
we
see
a
nature
trail,
we
saw
lots
of
back
roads
that
had
construction
equipment/debris
on
it,
but
no
where
that
I
would
want
to
walk
with
my
kids/dogs.
There
was
no
Rec
Hall.
Well
the
park
map
says
it
is
there,
but
it
is
filled
with
construction
tools,
supplies
and
generally
used
for
storage.
There
is
no
emergency
phone.
It
too
is
marked
on
the
map,
but
there
is
no
phone
there.
There
was
posted
office
hours,
but
it
would
close
periodically
throughout
the
day.
We
went
up
twice
and
it
was
closed
during
the
posted
office
hours.
We
didn't
use
the
showers,
but
the
bathrooms
were
decent.
Typically
campground
bathrooms
in
my
opinion.
I
usually
just
let
a
bad
campground
go,
with
the
promise
of
never
to
return,
but
this
campground
is
so
grossly
misrepresented,
I
couldn't
let
it
go.
