Horrible experience at Popeyes on Hunt Club Rd. Ottawa. Just had my Uber Eats order dropped off: missing all the biscuits & drinks, and none of this special instructions were followed. Some people have allergies and need to be careful. Now we have a disappointed 6 year old, and missing a considerable portion of what we paid for. And the perfect topper: nobody answers the phone, and their voicemail isn’t set up. Always open to great feedback, aren’t they?

It was my first time at Popeye's, and my team and I had to wait 35 minutes for our food on a 30 minute lunch break. Only one of us out of 4 actually got what we ordered. Two of us ordered ghost pepper wings and 35 minutes later ended up with some greasy chicken substitute. The mashed paptatoes had a gross clump of dry dark stuff. See pictures. The Fanta Orange was also out. The floors were greasy and dirty. The benches most have large rips in it. We were supposed to dine in, but had to take it with us because we were now late for work. As a first experience... It will be my last saddly.

We were in the area and decided to order some fried chicken as we do not have this restaurant back home. We ordered the 9-2-4 Chicken Family Meal which consisted of 9 pieces of chicken with 2 sides and 4 biscuits. We took a mixture of white and dark meats as well as spicy and mild flavors. As for the sides, we got the large cajun fries along with the large onion rings. The customer service was poor as the front employees were busy talking to a client that had already gotten his order instead of serving new clients that were waiting in line.

DO NOT buy food from this location!!!! We bought a 16 piece family meal and a sandwich and chicken nuggets for almost 90 dollars and they put in ROTTEN CHICKEN FRIED IN RANCID OIL. Initially we had good interaction and the manager smiled at me sweetly as she took my receipt and I didn’t really pay attention. She told me we would have to wait about 8 minutes for fresh chicken and in the end she gave us chicken that she SHOULD HAVE WASTED. This location is scheming and scamming. I am reporting them to sanitation AND Popeyes corporate. This is not acceptable to sell rancid food. I will never ever go to this location again.

It wasn't too busy (approximately four to six patrons in the entire restaurant at the time) but the wait was very long in my opinion. Over 15-17 minutes to get two hot chicken sandwiches and two orders of chicken tenders. - UPDATE October 2021 I've been back several times and it's still incredibly slow service. This is not fast food by any stretch. However, there is no other better tasting chicken sandwich or chicken tenders anywhere that I know of. So if I have to wait a little longer, I will. It's just that good!!! Popeye's is the best chicken game in town. Please tell me if there is something better! Four stars instead of five for the time spent waiting. - UPDATE JUNE 2022 I just find that there is no real sense of urgency to get the food out to the customer in a fast food manner that I'm accustomed to at other restaurant chains. Know what I mean? First world problems for sure. However, the chicken baskets seem to be always full but there's always a lack of staff to get it boxed and presented. A simple order of 5 chicken tenders is about 10 to 15 minute wait. Am I just impatient? Don't get me wrong the food is still amazing and tasty. Still worth the wait. I think I would eat there more often if I could shave off 10 - 15 minutes of just waiting around waiting for three or five chicken tenders. To be fair the chicken is always flavorful, super hot and juicy. Which is why I keep on going back. The time of visit was around 11:45 a.m. I had to ask for the sauce which they didn't put in the bag. Not the first time I had to do this either. Always have to check the contents of the bag before I leave. Giving me trust issues. Going to shave off one more star for this review. Seriously five star deliciousness but the lackadaisical, slow service is all easily remedied. Have a great day y'all.

Their chicken tenders are half of what it used to be and the chicken tastes old sometimes, like its reheated. The ogilvie/montreal Rd location is the worst. Is this really worth over $13 of what's in the box? I'm done with them.

Well this was the fastest I've ever been served at a popeyes but the owner was busy interrupting while I was ordering, couldn't wait to check Supplies until I was done putting my drinks in a tray...a tray ibhad to get myself...and all but pushed me out of the way to get wipes out to clean a smudged window 30 feet away in an empty restaurant. Apparently, waiting 30s for the customer was too much to ask. Then the woman brought the food out couldn't be bothered to hand it to me, answer, or even look at me, the customer she was serving. So, as seems to be the norm for ottawa popeyes restraints the service was garbage and the atmosphere was non existent

After a terrible first experience at this location, I agreed to give them a second chance. The second experience was worse than the first! The service was still incredibly slow, the order was incorrect, the chicken was dry and had obviously spent far too long under the heat lamp. The restaurant was dirty with ants crawling all over the floor. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I have been trying out few places around ottawa for fried chicken, and i must say this is by far the best! The ghost pepper wings are by far the best in ottawa! The normal checkin was good but nothing special. Great customer service too, very nice and well managed restaurant. I paid 50 in total we were 4 people

Got up to the cash to order and had no idea it was going to go all wrong. To start, they couldn't sell me the family meal that was advertised in the store and on the menu screen because, as the cashier put it, "I don't have the button for the thingie on here," pointing at the cash register. So we ordered something else. We wanted mashed potatoes as our side but she said they "didn't have gravy," (which is the best part) but we wanted it anyway and she seemed upset and flustered when I told her we still wanted mashed potatoes. She was frowning the whole time and seemed annoyed with everyone. We wanted dessert pies but they didn't have that either, no surprise. So we were waiting for our food and getting more agitated as the time just kept passing. We were 35 minutes in and still no sign of our food being ready. There were people in the store who had been waiting for eons like us and everyone was just sitting around looking depressed waiting for their food. The restaurant was dirty, there was dried sauce all over the floor. Finally, after 45 minutes our order was ready and we rushed it home and discovered that they gave us all spicy overcooked chicken. We had ordered all mild. The whole experience was irritating and very frustrating. I would rate this as the very absolute worst location for Popeyes in Ottawa. I should have gone to the one on Bank Street which is always properly stocked, fresh and fast.

My visit to Popeyes's left me with mixed feelings. The food was tasty and lived up to my expectations, reflecting the restaurant's dedication to quality. However, the staff's lack of enthusiasm and limited greeting felt somewhat disappointing. A warm welcome can significantly enhance the customer experience. I hope the management considers emphasizing friendliness and greetings among their staff to create a more inviting atmosphere for diners

The service is awful. The girl in the front is so ridiculous. I asked her if the sandwich is spicy, she answered me : I have never tried. I was so shocked to received this answer. The other girl heard that and came to me and said: you can choose classic or spicy. The chicken is not delicious, over cooked and seems long time. The strawberries pie is good. Smashed potatoes are great. Not recommended

Service is always grate. I had a 5 piece mild tender, had to wait a few minutes because they were cooking some fresh. Totally worth the wait!

Very very very bad service Yesterday they were out of tenders and nuggets at the same time( even if the nuggets are the special of the day) Since I do not like bones, I asked to have chicken breasts. At the checkout I was surprised to be charged extra 3$ for breasts even if I was forced to take them since they were out of tenders and nuggets( basicly it was not my fault). I told the manager that I am unhappy costumer and he said: ITS OK!!! ( with a rude look) So if you are a hijabi girl looking for halal fried chicken in Ottawa, dont come here because you will feel very unwelcomed. I will never come back to this place with rude employees.

Fast & friendly service. Chicken tenders are much larger than you receive at many fast-food competitors. Good stop when you are in a hurry and need a not-so-unhealthy protein fix. 😋

Impeccable clean restaurant! The staff are friendly and quick to process your order. I've never received and order missing items which in other fast food restaurants seems to be commonplace, kudos to your management and staff.

The 8 pieces meal, gave me 4 small drumsticks. The other pieces are also small compared to other locations. Regular fries came in a small nugget box. I'll be sure to go to a different location even if further.

Beautiful seating area. Their chicken and biscuits are great. I liked to give the five stars but for a reason I hit the 4 stars. For this great place and excellent food, customers expect outstanding customer service. I didn't see this. The employees didn't care about the customers. When she was taking the order, at the same time talking and joking to her colleague without looking at the customer in front of her. No greetings at first and not even answer the thank you from me and my daughter when we were leaving. No showing of interest to help especially in choosing food. Anyway, we decided to take out our food and enjoyed the great food at home. I shared some photos of This beautiful place.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food taste is very good and cooking is also very good. Got my meal hot and crunchy. Ordered the 16 pieces family meal for 4 adults and 1 child and it was enough. The biscuits tasted excellent and baked perfectly. Their Cole Slaw tasted different from what I'm used too, but was also delicious.

We took the spicy one and it was good. Better than kfc I would say. But the only problem was they are decreasing the size of each piece day by day. But that's the case for the brands as well due to inflation I guess. So can't complain about that.

Popeyes is probably one of the best places you can eat chicken. If you prefer your chicken to not be too salty, but super crunchy, this is the place When I was in Newfoundland, Mary Brown was the place I go to. Now I've found a better replacement They have lots of great deals to provide deep discounts for customers

Used to be very good until resent orders. chicken become small, dry. Biscuit is missing. There was no other customers in store when I came.

I had an amazing experience on June 25, 2022 around 8pm. Staff were great! Cashier thanked me for being kind to them. Who isn't kind to someone! I read the reviews about how "staff have given up" etc, I just think these folks need more kindness from the guests! Food was hot! Delicious, and the order was correct. It took a bit longer then normal, but that's cause I ordered Tenders, after rush hour for them! They cooked mine hot! I'll wait for good food! Thanks to the team here for the great experience! I look forward to coming back!

I had such a swell interaction with the young man working there. He was in a very good mood and made my day. He said the new sweet heat sauce was the best, he was right.
