I attended a NYE event at this venue, worst experience of any club so far in Montreal. Paid $87 for a ticket and here are the points: 1. We had to wait for about 1 hour in line in freezing temperature (-11°C), there was absolutely no organization, people were jumping the queue. 2. Once getting inside, things just got worse as there were two overcrowded queues for coat check + enter the place in the same area. People starting to push each other, the few security guards around didn't know what to do and they are clearly understaffed for an event like that. 3. The place was overcrowded. You could barely walk around. 4. Overpriced drinks. 5. There's not even tap water available as any other decent venue and considering the ticket price. Note: The staff do their very best and are not the ones to blame, it clearly seems that the organizers/owners want to make extra profit and don't hire adequate staff + other items listed. NEVER RETURNING HERE AGAIN.

Definitely a fun place to party and see cool djs

After the event, security said we were not allowed to use the washrooms. They literally told us to pee outside. When we tried to do that nearby security (different person) asked what we were doing and then chaperoned us inside to use the washroom when we explained what we were told to do. However, they only allowed a select few to use the washrooms one last time. Thankfully one of my group made the cut. Obvious signs of certain staff tripping with power. Some staff members were specifically confused on the best way to get out of the building. We asked them the best way out only to get lost, ask them again, and then they said they honestly don't know. Maybe figure that out before working security. What if there was a real emergency? Incredibly long line to get in to a ticketed event, even for a late night venue standard. Once in you can clearly see why. Many security and staff just standing around making sure you go downstairs and into the bar once past security. Maybe you should help ticketing staff and security staff get people in the door before yelling at them to "go downstairs." I counted 2 or 3 max people scanning tickets, while there was a crowded line as long as two flights of stairs packed with people. I was yelled at for wanting to wait for my friend to finish his security pat down. God forbid I coordinate with my group getting in to the venue that we have never been to before - see point above about confusing venue layout. It must be a good use of money to pay staff to yell at people instead of making sure they are getting in safely and timely. One of my friends was yelled at for taking too long to open her purse for bag check. Security said she was too slow and needed to hurry up, then just let her go through without checking. Bar staff are severely understaffed and once again not acting like they care very much. Not in much of a rush to serve the customers ready to pay. The venue itself is awesome, besides for it feeling like there is no air conditioning. The lights and smoke/pyro really are world class. It is a shame that the staff act like they are only there for the pay check. Can you imagine being told to pee outside?

Sad very sad club.. I have a feeling the ac doesn’t even work.. they should probably fix it.. the whole place was like a hot yoga session. Was very disgusting.. Went for above and beyond but the club was badly equipped for large crowds. Will come back when they will have air conditioning working.. because last night it was very very bad. DJs were fantastic but the venue air flow was really bad. Edit : we had to buy our own water at 5$ the bottle sadly, did not receive any water to cool down :( we bought close to 70$ of water for 4 people. Well make sure ac work next time and we will be back again!

The venue was great but the drinks were very overpriced and the bar staff were rude. Came here for an event function in March 2017. Shots were $7 CAD and everything else was $9. I ordered a single shot of tequila and the barmaid gave me two. I told her I only ordered one (which my friends witnessed) and she continued to insist I ordered two, even calling over security to try to force me to pay for it. Luckily I only had $10 (why I only ordered one shot) so she reluctantly took it back. The DJ was above average and the lighting and atmosphere was cool, just a shame about the prices and staff.

This place where we had quite work events like Halloween as well as annual party it’s spacious and the staff are generous . It looks like a warehouse yet it’s in the heart of the city It’s like 10-15 min walk from metro Bonaventure . Also looks like a construction Infront of it . The audio system and lights were nice and I am sure they do have more blasts in local parties all time . The bar service was excellent as well . The food choices were not that great like no chicken . Well I can’t rate on just my single visit. Yet I am sure they do have different menu depending on the events .

Restaurant Bazard offers it's guests an enchanting atmosphere. The colors will titillate you and your palette will be teased in delightful ways. There's an extensive wine which will more than meet your needs. 🍷

Big venue video. Organized alcohol and prices are reasonable. The stuff over there very friendly security. Too. It's a massive venue. The DJs are all international and famous. There are two floors in it. The second floor VIP bottle service and the first of Floor for general admission. There is a massive secretary behind the DJs. There is a CO2 smoke, laser light. It's a really really good experience. It's my favorite venue so far in Montreal I highly recommend you to visit but check the website to see what they have on the weekend schedule cuz some weekends are open some weekend or close. Loved this place. I went there to see concert of Alan Walker which was amazing. I heard a lot about this place, and wanted to check it out. Its the best club I have even been in my life. Perfect ambience with high ceilings, really good services and enough space for everyone to dance on music. A one kind of washroom. Its an art which you will love. Sound is perfect with really good lighting, laser and effects. It does not matter where you stand up, you will feel the music.

Awesome venue! We went there yesterday for the first time to see Cosmic Gate and had a fabulous time! Best club in Montreal, ever!

Went for a cosmic Gate night on one of the coldest weekends in MTL 2019. It was still crazy packed, we did bottle service. The service was pretty amazing. We got in easy, fast, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Maybe too crazy on the Dom but first world problem. Would come back to check out to her special events for sure

Incredible venue for clubbing. Sound and lights are definitely ones of the best in Montreal. If you want to see top DJs perform, this is the place for it.

The venue looks amazing, sound and visual are phenomenal, and I love the artists that play here. I always have a great time! Only issue is it's so hot on the main stage, please fix ventilation issues.

I love NCG , but lately the employees and the organization are very messy. Security screaming with every one, coatcheck messy. We went a lot last year and 3 times this year was enough to take a break.

Simply the best place in Montreal for electronic music events. The security staff is strict, all the areas are well organized and the dance floor is amazing. Prices are very affordable.

Awesome venue for shows

Such a cool place! Nice vibe to hold events and it opens till 1 am. Drinks are good too. I discovered the inner area, the red light decor is so beautiful at night, and they have a swing bed(you gotta go check), restaurant, a shop, and second floor(I didn’t get to discover due to a private party). Definitely ideal to host your party or event here ;)

This place is very big, has a VIP section at the mezzanine on both sides of the room, which has a separate small unisexbathroom for VIP. There's a very big unisex bathroom for regular ticketed people which is more worth it go to go even if it's a bit further. Has a coat check for 4$. Throws nice special events with great decors, good DJs, worth checking out.

Amazing Venue, beautiful scenery and themed bars. Sound was food, a bit packed at time but nothing unexpected.

Went to MTL to see MK and the club made no indication that he canceled - along with Honey Luv. Every comment left on their Instagram questioning it was deleted or not responded to. Poor quality customer care from whoever runs the social media account. Club needs to be way more transparent to people who specifically come and pay to see a certain DJ.

Very chill nightclubs for events, but pretty pricey for the amount they give you in your drink. It is also extremely HOT inside, no air to breathe or ventilation going on when you’re in the crowd.

The best nightclub in Montreal. I've been there at least a couple dozen times and it always feels like a festival! The music, the lights, the people, the vibe... It's all epic. I just love this place! Alex K and Produkt bring the best DJs from around the world, so make sure to buy your tickets in advance. I prefer going VIP: it's worth saving time avoiding the lineup and having more space to dance in the less crowded VIP area, and you have more bars to choose from so it's less of a lineup for drinks.

My work party was here last month. Very nice venue, great staff and the food was amazing! Parking however, wasn't the most pleasant experience. Loads of construction in the area, leave ahead to make it on time!

Very large dancefloor, plenty of space to move around and dance. The DJs were great and had good music throughout the night. Drinks are a bit expensive but that is expected. All in all, I had a great night and will definitely be going again!

Love this place other than not being able to move. The venue was totally sold out every time I’ve went and I’m a tad claustrophobic so not being able to move and having people sweat on you and girls hair sticking to my body was not ideal. Otherwise great concert lol wish there was an area I could see the stage and not be trampled on, also could not see half the time. I’m 5ft 5in for reference!

It was my very first time and I came there to see knock.2 and all I can say is that it was well organized for us, highly recommend considering getting a VIP pass if you're not into tight crowded spaces. Awesome experience overall!

I go 2 to 3 times a year a least to see the best dj set... last time were deadmaus and benny benassi ... just awesome as usual!!! Great ambiance pact but vip as space to dance and move around.. its worth the vip upgrade!!!!

Every time there’s a show its a blast! I would 100% recommend to anyone!

EXTREMELY OVERCROWDED !!! I’ve been to 3 shows at New City Gas and all 3 of them were way too crowded. I’ve been to sold out shows in other venues and none of them were as crowded as this place. Plus the staff was very rude and impatient because they wanted us to move to keep certain areas clear (which normally I’d understand for safety and other reasons) but there was literally no room for us to move. If they bring down the number of people they let in I’d come back but for now I’ll pass. It’s a shame cause New City Gas brings in really good artists I’d love to see, plus they have a great sound system and a great stage with screens and lights but it’s not worth seeing these shows with the overcrowded experience you get.

Great club! Visited for Ilesoniq and went two nights. Friday night we didn't even realize how to get to the main room and still had a blast in the downstairs area. Sunday night for Above & Beyond was incredible, finally made it to the main room and such a cool space. Great sound and lights. Highly recommended and we will be back!

New place call Bazar,great atmosphere and food

This place has that perfect Montreal vibe in a spot where you have a great view, from the smoking area of the city with all its lights. Overall my experience was enjoyable and memorable. The washrooms are super cool, and the setup is nice, besides two things. First, the smaller room has a step on the right side of the bar that is super dangerous. Second, the VIP didn't offer anything particularly exciting. That said, it is still worth a 5-star review.

I have never left a negative review on Google before but the service at New City Gas today was appalling. I was invited to an art gallery’s soft launch that was taking place at NCG (got the invitation from the gallery owner herself). The minute we stepped into NCG, we were were treated by staff as if we didn’t belong there and as if our names weren’t on the list. Everytime we tried asking someone a question (such as: can we sit down and have a drink?), we were told the “exit is this way”. I’ve considered renting NCG for business events in the past and I can guarantee you I will not be doing that.

Good space for event. Industrial look. Decent capacity. VIP lounge areas were a bit fiddly to access but cozy. Staff was polite and diligent.

This is a great venue that feels like a festival for every weekend and definitely a must try for folks that come to see MTL for a few days. The booking process may be complicated for some but the final experience has been mostly worth it.

Very nice place to enjoy a 5 a 7 with coworkers or friends, very tasty sangria cocktails and staff is always smiling ! Valet parking is available at the cost of 25$. The bathroom is really well designed and every painting is original ! Loved it

Hot. No wine at the bar. Lots of elbows in the crowd. They searched my wallet pretty extensively for drugs. Felt invasive. Made me feel like no good people go there. Some of the other patrons we're looking around with a disgusted look, same as me. I left after a couple of songs. Can't recommend.

It keeps getting better! I've been going here for about 10 years. Early in its history it was often overbooked, crowded and poorly laid out. They've made some big changes and it's absolutely great. They really go over the top for some of their events, and the galleries around are very interesting. The place has a more open feel and an almost festival like vibe with its multiple spaces.

Pretty clean. Staff is nice. Place is SICK. So chic yet so epic. I had the best time there and little tiny raves happened which made it even cooler, it was so packed! Drinks are great, coat check takes forever but that's all right! Haha. I had a blast! Will definitely go back!

I love new city gas. They always bring good djs. It's a spacious club. There are two section, the bottom where people stand (just like in a concert) and the top (balcony) where people have couches and bottles service. I personally like the VIP section upstairs. The bottom section has bars so you can purchase drinks. For the balcony section, you need to make a reservation before and there's a minimum spending.

Purple disco machine was incredible but I was a bit deceived by the club, beautiful club but the crowd is very young and immature maybe I am too old or used to smaller venues other than that's very good :)

First of all, I can understand the over price at some level, but 12$ for 1 oz drink with mostly ice and a dash of juice? This is just laughing at customers. F.Y.I. I won’t drink less with more juice… but this was genuinely insulting. Is that to mask the fact that they dilute alcohol? I remember ordering doubles for a hint of flavour to overcome the melting ice aftertaste. Was not even slightly tipsy after my 6th drink! (120$ later) Furthermore, paying that much to get attitude and mediocre service from the staff… rather unpleasant. One of the coat check girl kept 8$ from my money back, probably assuming she was worth that much for a tip with her bad temper. Finally, the toilets situation is disgusting. Unable to wash my hands properly with the design of the sink, alongside a guy giving pieces of brown paper. Was he waiting for a tip? He never seemed to want something in return. Somewhat useless and uncomfortable. Will not be attending anymore shows at this place even if the music was very good!
