Way overpriced for undercooked, tasteless “authentic” pasta. The Alfredo sauce was reminiscent of the tears of men I drink on a daily basis, very watery and flavourless. Both the Fettuccini Alfredo and the Chicken Parm had this issue. The presentation of the food wasn’t like what was advertised on Uber Eats at all. It was reminiscent of a meal that would most likely be cooked in a trap house by a bunch of teenagers. I would rather eat at East Side Marios and that says enough.

I walked in and I ordered the Gnocchi Gorgonzola. I waited at the table for my order. Then, after 10-15 minutes they delivered my food to takeaway. I ate this meal for the first time. It was delicious! The service was quick! The cashier was very friendly and it wasn’t busy at the time.

Our family tried this place for the first time, and we all quite liked our food. Best described as Italian fast food. You choose what you want from the menu boards, order at the cash, pay, and then your food is brought to your table. Prices are the same as a sit down restaurant, so don't expect a meal for $10. Lots of seating available. A nice casual place to eat. I believe the employee at the cash was Derek, and he gets a rating of 300 out of 100. Fun to talk to, efficient, friendly, and willing to help in any way. I wish that all front line staff were like him. You want to go back for the food, but also hope that he would be working that day. The pictures attached reflect the current menu and prices as of October 16, 2022.

First time trying this place and everyone enjoyed it. It's kind've like an upscale fast food restaurant with great tasting, good quality food. Prices are very fair for what you're getting. Service was fast and friendly. They even have Stella Luna gelato. I liked the interior decor. I did find it smokey inside. Probably because the cooking area is exposed for you to see. We dined on the patio though so it wasn't an issue.

This Italian restaurant is easily, one of my most favorite in Ottawa, we stumbled on it while searching for a place that offers wood fired pizza, this was the only location we could find around the Kanata area, so we decided to give it a try. And oh boy they didn’t disappoint, the staff is amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Your food will be ready in no time, it took 8mins to prepare my margarita. Once I got to the car I opened it to smell it, once it was opened I couldn’t resist to serve myself a slice of the pizza on the spot. Amazing, definitely worth to give a try to this place 💜

Was looking for a quick lunch spot near Kanata, and found Via Cibo. A very cozy vibe with welcoming staff. We decided to try The New Yorker pizza and it was very delicious. The ingredients were fresh and flavourful. There are special deals throughout the week for those who want to save some money too! Definitely coming back to try the whole menu!

We were really surprised, for the price, portion size, and speed, it was very good. You order as you come in, from a menu posted on the wall. They have a variety of pasta and thin crust pizzas. Drinks are your choice of bottled soft drinks or a small selection of wine and beer. Once you pay, you seat yourself at a table with a little number and they will bring you food to you. The staff when we were there were super friendly, they really made us feel welcomed. I'm surprised we have tried Via Cibo before, but we will go back. A really great alternative to other fast food places in the area.

The Tuscan salad was good. My friends also mention that their chicken parm tasted good. Prices are decent. They have daily deals - we went on a Monday (half-price kids' meal with every adult meal). I'm not sure if it's because we went on a rainy day, but the atmosphere seemed a bit dark for my liking.

Might be the best pizza I've tasted in Ottawa! Whenever I'm in the Kanata area, I always need to stop in for a classic pepperoni pizza. What a difference stone oven pizza is from your average take-out cardboard. Fair prices, good seating and friendly staff. Thanks so much!

Whenever we’re in Kanata we make a point to get take out here. This time we sat in. Pleasant atmosphere and casual partial service set up. You order and sit at a table with a number. They bring it over. You get your own cutlery and condiments from a table. The place was fairly clean, and fun decor. Friendly staff. Tasty Italian food. Not sure the pasta for the penne Alfredo was fresh or not, but it was good. Big enough to share between myself and my daughter. Decent value. For two adults, a kid, one appetizer, two main pasta dishes with added chicken, a beer came to $60. I would recommend for take out or for a casual sit in experience.

I ordered 2 chicken alfredo from here via delivery. When it arrived I was surprised they didn't include any utensils like I requested. Not sure how I'm supposed to eat pasta without any but okay. Next was confusion about the pasta choice. Instead of linguini the traditional choice it was penne but okay. The Last thing was the real problem. It had absolutely no alfredo sauce, zero. It definitely tastes like butter and garlic. That's it. I don't know if this is common there but I am surprised it made it out of the kitchen. Both orders of one of my favorite dishes ended up being the equivalent of a college dinner of noodles with butter and maybe if you are lucky you can afford a little garlic or meat. I mean come on. What is this? How did it ever get out of the kitchen or how is this what a restaurant considers alfredo? Check out these pictures. If this is what they serve and it's not one of the most colossal mistakes in a restaurant trying to serve chicken alfredo? I don't know how they can consider themselves chefs. The main ingredient in alfredo pasta is the alfredo sauce. I've honestly had better when I was in college by adding parmesan, a little cream, pepper and margarine to pasta and to be honest that's what I think I'm going to do to this. It has basically no flavor right now and was a complete waste of money. I literally have to make my own sauce now for it. Basically very expensive pasta and butter. Don't order the chicken alfredo.

Casual place where you order ahead at the counter. Offers good, fresh Italian food at friendly prices. Only miss was the Caesar salad which was too salty. So that was relatively untouched. Otherwise, pizza and pasta were great.

Great food and atmosphere! The lunch menu is a great deal, you get a pizza or pasta, side salad or donuts and the choice of pop or Italian soda (seltzer water with a choice of syrup shots, BlackBerry was very delicious!). The pizza was very good, the type that is soft and folds well with gooey cheese and minimal grease. The donuts were served hot and fresh with chocolate syrup. The chicken parmesan sandwich was good but the chicken was not at all crunchy which is the only complaint. The only thing that was confusing was that the entrance and exit doors are not labeled so we went in the wrong door not knowing you had to order at a counter first then pick a seat. But it was great and I would recommend the pizza!

I was hesitant to try this place based on some mixed reviews, but I'm happy to report it was a great experience. I had the rose penne pasta and added mushrooms, as well as a cafe affogato which is gelato with espresso poured over. Both were very good! I've never ordered pasta and had it delivered to my table in under 5 minutes! Very impressed with the taste of the food, the portion size was good value, and the quick service. My friend got the panini and it was wet, difficult to eat and did not look very appetizing, so I would probably pass on that. I recommend this place for a quick supper on a sens game night. Looking forward to a future visit.

Very pleasantly surprised by the pepperoni pizza here! The margherita pizza was not so great though, with way too much acidic sauce. Pasta carbonara was okay but they were out of pancetta. 😢 Rosé sauce pasta was fairly bland but made okay with the salt shaker. There are good options here but you have to find them!

I loved the shrimp risotto, really delicious, slightly spicy, even if you don't like pepper you will like it. The other Gnocchi dish is also delicious. The manager was kind. I missed the good old Steak Parmigiana that Brazilians like.

Looking for a delicious made to order meal without the full restaurant experience? Via Cibo is a great choice. Food is consistently yummy. Great thin crust pizza and pastas.

The cashier girl was nice and friendly. But I can’t recommend pizza at this place. We ordered ‘Prosciutto E Arugula’: some ingredients were missing (Parmesan), prosciutto seemed to be spoiled

Food is always great. One of the very few Italian restaurants we will eat at and frequent often since I grew up with authentic Italian cuisine so I am very picky eating Italian food at restaurants. Prices are very fair as the ingredients are fresh, dishes are prepared at time of order (again, fresh!), portions are good and food tastes great. All those factors = good value for your money vs other restaurants. Lunch & Dinner menus have a great variety of options and they generally/often have new dishes offered for a limited time during their monthly promotion. We usually stick to the pizza and pasta dishes as that’s where this place truly shines! Occasionally for lunch one of us will get the pollo parmigiana which is really good. The chicken & portobello entree wasn’t something I would order again, maybe just bad luck that night but wouldn’t take the chance to try again - would never knock a star off because of this though. Brunch (weekends only) is a smaller menu with just the best making the cut…no lumberjack breakfast type things that are just a pile of grease. Here you’ll find delicious dishes with both sweet and savory options. Daily specials offered Sun-Wed at great pricing - the Sunday family feast is such a good value and can be a great way to try a variety of items. Something to note: We usually take our nephews here because the food comes out quicker than most other sit down restaurants which is helpful to adults dining with young children with short attention spans who don’t want to sacrifice food quality or have to eat at a fast food place. Highly suggest dine in over take out if it’s your first time.

Very long waits for delivery drivers. Food is never ready at pick-up time. Management needs to do a better job at coordinating delivery pickups so that drivers aren't stuck waiting there 10-20 minutes

It wasn't great, especially for its price. Pasta had no garnish or parm on it. The sauce was basically water, not creamy at all. "Not worth the carbs" was what my sister said lol. East-sides pasta is better.

I would say it is the best original Italian pizza restaurant in(near) Ottawa. Found some stuff at reception was inexperienced sometimes but they got no tips for it. Still will give them 5 stars.

A bit of a mix between fast food and sit-down, we really enjoyed the ambience with good seating options. The pizzas we ordered (chicken diavolo and prosciutto and arugula) were very tasty, with generous toppings and very tasty dough and sauce.

I found my pizza is overly cooked half way of my lunch. But when I request a 50% refund, the manager did a good job. So I’ll leave a 4/5 and I’m willing to visit the place again and see how it goes.

It is the best original Italian pizza restaurant in Kanata/Ottawa. Mark and his staff are so friendly and warm why would you go anywhere else. You will have a great lunch or dinner here! It is a must to try. Thank you for making such great Italian Food.

For dessert, the tiramisu was very good. Soft, tasty, and moist. I'd recommend the Italian Doughnuts above all for dessert. They were light, fluffy, and sugary. I could not get enough of them. The pepperoni pizza comes with a thin crust and is not greasy at all. 5/5 The cinnamon sticks were not so great. The texture was soft and fluffy but I was disappointed that I could barely taste any cinnamon. 2/5

The food here was fabulous! As a fast food- type restaurant, it cannot be beat. The food offers a number of healthier options which will appeal to all ages. The menu is extremely varied and all of it is delicious. You order and pay at the cash and then your meal is brought to you and the service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere is a bit more upscale than a usual fast food restaurant. All in all, a great experience.

I really wish I could give this place a 5.. Because every time I've dined in, everything has been delicious. But when you offer takeout, that has to be just as good as dine in, and it's unfortunately not. This is my second time trying take out, and same as the first time, the pasta is very dry. I really think they need to consider adding more sauce to takeout orders, so that it doesn't dry out by the time you get to eat it. Disappointing..

I drove by 417 from Nepean just to have a lunch at this restaurant. From service to food everything was perfect. I bet you came and try a Gnocchi Gorgonzola or Shrimp Risotto and let us know if I’m right about those.

Ordered delivery through Uber eats and we had a few different pastas. The food was well priced for the quality and portion size. Food was hot and delicious. Great quality ingredients. Really excited to have Via Cibo as a fast food alternative in the area. I will definitely be returning for more yummy food.
