As my wife and I were in Ottawa for the weekend, we decided to go to a Senators game. We had decent seats for about $50 each, so quite reasonable. Parking was straightforward, plenty of space and only $20. The atmosphere was fantastic and we really enjoyed the experience. Getting in and out of the venue was simple, and there were plenty of clean washrooms and food/drink vendors. As is always the case at these venues, drink prices are simply ridiculous, $16 (plus an expected tip) for a can of beer/twisted tea that costs $3.50 at the liquor store. Putting that aside, we had a lot of fun, even though the Sens lost :(

The home of the National Capital Region's largest capacity Arena/ Stadium is located in Kanata. The stadium opened in 1996 and was built to accomondate Ottawa's National Hockey Leagues (NHL) franchise team, the Ottawa Senators. It also hosts indoor music concerts and special events. There has been much controversy about why the region's most impressive stadium was constructed 27km from the city centre of Ottawa. There were questions relating to the lack of transit infrastructure and its location being so far from higher density populated areas (downtown Ottawa and Gatineau). This distance becomes more of an issue since hockey games are played during winter when the worst driving conditions occur. The stadium has changed its name several times. Such as; The Palladium (1996), COREL Centre (1996 - 2006), Scotiabank Place (2006 - 2013) and now it is the Canadian Tire Centre (2013 - present). There are 4 levels in the stadium with the lower three dedicated for Seating/ Suites and the 4th with standing suites. All offer different perspectives in viewing the games and enjoying a unique game experience. The general flow getting into the stadium, passing through security and finding your way to your seat is reasonably quick. The concession stands provide their services at a reasonable rate, but prices are high. The city of Ottawa is now looking into building a new arena to increase capacity and revenue from the NHL games. They are looking into building it in an open area in LeBreton Flats, which will be an easy walk to downtown Ottawa and Gatineau. If you like my reviews, videos or photos why not get a photo with the Sens mascott, Sparacat and give a salut with your hockey stick. Go Sens Go!

Great night at the Jonas Brothers concert with my daughter. I originally purchased in the section 326. Shortly after concert started we were approached by a very pleasant employee who moved us to section 119. What amazing people and this act made my daughter cry in joy. Thank you for making my daughter's night. Will be back to see other events. Amazing!!!

Great cozy feel for an NHL stadium. Great site lines and comfortable seating in the lower level. Ease of use to get to bathrooms and access concessions. Valet parking is offered for $60 which is a nice amenity to offer the fan base

Pretty good Sens game. That’s what I think was happening anyways. I got standing room tickets in the third level and I couldn’t see squat. There was like a bollard roof column in the way obscuring my vision. I think there should be some bar first come first serve type of seating but that’s just me. Interesting how the team gets worse every year but more people come every year.

The home of one of my 2 NHL teams - and got to see them play my other team (the Jets), so would have been great regardless of the score. Venue is easy enough to access, the Slap Shot parking was easy. Will never get used to those concession prices, yikes!

My wife and I went to our first Sens game vs the Arizona Coyotes. It's actually nice to see a brand new team this year. So much potential now that they finally opened up the pocket book and signed these players long term. These kids will give us years of fun to go see more games. We sat in the nosebleed section and we were surprised at how well we could see the whole surface of the rink. So much fun we bought more tickets for future games. What a blow out for the sens 6-2 Go Sens Go.....great time, great atmosphere. TBH the traffic isn't that bad at all either 👍

Beautiful arena, been here multiple times. Many parking places, sometimes just before the game, traffic may be heavy. All staff were friendly and helpful. Many conssesion stands on level 200, the line up for the toilet can be very long like other NHL places I went. I had tickets for level 100, 200 and 300 and all section are good.

Went there for the Justin Bieber concert, it's my first ever live concert and the centre is nice and clean, the seats have a little too tiny leg spaces but everything else is very good, loved it.

I very much enjoy coming here. There’s tons of seating, the prices are as you would expect ($$$), but there’s lots of staff walking around to assist with anything you might need, and they are very quick to assist with any issues. The sound system is also great so even if you’re high up you can hear everything and see the jumbo tron !

Great setup and venue for the vaccine! I was told that it was a bit noisier than the Eva James Centre but still running with a high efficiency and thoroughness. The people with the megaphone were terific and apart from a few people coming in just in time, the traffic wardens had everybody going though patiently. I hope they continue that level of service to see us out of it all.

Disney on Ice was awesome, what a great first experience at the Canadian Tire Centre! The kids loved every minute of the show and us moms had fun also!! Things where on the pricier side but that is a given for anything relates to Disney lol. We had great seats, maybe 20 feet or so from the ice, the benches were comfortable for the 2 hours. Lots of people available to guide the lost souls trying to find their seats, and enough bathrooms. Facility was clean and organized. We really enjoyed ourselves. #family

Amazing game and stellar fan experience, just make sure to go in with nothing but your wallet and phone maximum, and not to bring ANYTHING that could even REMOTELY be considered a weapon. I had an umbrella with me and I brought it because there was rain in the forecast and was taking a bus, but I got stopped and was told by staff to throw it behind a tree and collect it after the game if I wanted to keep it. Umbrellas are not on the prohibited items list either. I understand CTC has the right to deny access for any item deemed a safety concern even if the item is not on the prohibited items list, but this strict interpretation dampened my experience.

The Canadian Tire Centre is a great venue to see fantastic shows/concerts. The staff are ALWAYS really kind and helpful, often giving great suggestions. The main stage is HUGE, with lots of space for audiences. Always clean and well kept. The food is always good, but a little expensive. We waited in line to go to Bert’s (nobody ever got back to me about making reservations) and it was nice. They were incredibly quick and our server, Halee, was great! Love coming here with family to see shows. Try getting there early for parking and making sure to jet to your car after any show, or you’ll be stuck in traffic for a while!

I really enjoy going to the Canadian Tire Centre, but the parking situation really needs to improve. There needs to be better / quicker guidance. We were in line to park for more than an hour one of the last times we went and ended up missing most of the first period even though we wanted to be inside well before the start of the game. It's always chaotic parking there.

Had drinks ar the Red Bar and it was pricey. Drinks were ok. First time in 100 level. Seats were plush and very comfortable. Great view of the ice and a bonus was the hostes that came around for orders of drinks and food. The downfall was the parking. We were in lot 1 thinking we were close to the exit. Lol still took 45 min to get out.

Went to the arena just cause I was an hour out and seemed like a good place to see a hockey game. Was pretty neat. Cheap seats, pretty good food and their review music was the pause music from Goldeneye. Would recommend if you wanna see a Sens game.

Far from the central part of Ottawa and always a traffic jam trying to get here. The arena itself is nice and the staff does its best to present a fan friendly environment. The restrooms were clean, ushers helpful, and concessions line moved even in between periods!

This is a great stadium! Every seat at this place gives you a great view. GO LEAFS GO! Parking is adequate, however they’d need a better/faster system to direct/flow the traffic after an event is done.

We flew up from the states to watch the Lightning play a game and I have to say this was a pretty nice arena. I was a bit surprised how far out of town it was and there isn't any type of rail link. We sat on the glass, and the tickets were very reasonable I thought. While there are several sit-down restaurants, more variety at the concessions would have been nice.

I liked the environment, but we went for Cirque du Soleil, and the place we were sitting was just uncomfortable folded chairs just in front of the stage. I believe they wanted to take advantage of the space to make more money, which resulted in unsatisfied customers!

I really loved this place because I'm American but also 19 so I could drink and enjoy Pearl Jam but I also feel like the security was a bit too relaxed because the amount of weed the couple next to me brought in was insane

I was there a while back for the Ottawa Sens pride night, and it was an amazing game. It was also my first time at a hockey game ever. I had a good time.

Watched the Sens vs Sharks December 3rd and it was awesome! Stadium food prices, $15 for parking and no hot water in the bathroom, but a fun night if you have the means. Also, it only took about 15 minutes to get out of Parking Lot 6 so that's better than it used to be too...

Great venue to watch a game. Although corridors are busy this is to be expected with many people. Concession lines are slow at times which if frustrating as you do not want to miss the action.

Great event location in Ottawa! I go here often to watch the Ottawa Senators and occasionally for concerts. It is always a great time. Lots of parking. Lots of good restaurants. Great sight lines for sports and concerts. Always a fun time at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Seating is cramped, everything is grossly overpriced. Covid guidance is repeatedly encouraged but in no way enforced once you're past the door. Nothing that particularly fails or exceeds my expectations.

Yes it's in a tough location, far from the city center, but hats off for the intermission/period shows they put on, even when Ottawa senators are losing badly. The "indigenous peoples appreciation night" performance by the Eagle River Singers and hula hoop man were stunning.

Had the pleasure of watching a hockey game in a box. Excellent service for staff taking care of our group. Great food and drinks. Definitely recommend if you have a chance. Access to get inside was a breeze, the facility was clean and well maintained. Absolutely a great venu for any event.

It was fun to be back to a game, after a long time away during covid. Strict covid protocols in place, made it easier to enjoy being out in a crowd.

NHL hockey is back at full capacity in Ontario. It was the season opener for the Ottawa Senators. Winning against the Leafs made the whole experience good. They had lines outside to check our vaccination proof and ID. Although the lines were long, they flowed quickly. Inside, we were our masks except when eating/drinking. Picture of the warmup. The arena looked about 80% full.

An amazing experience with a great win as well. The Club Bell was so good, very well taken care from the servers and the food was outstanding, for sure will be back soon! Thanks for everything, well worth it

Got my covid vaccine here. Was quick and painless thanks to the numbing cream I used. Just needed to not look at it. I'm now fully vaccinated!

Came to get my second covid 19 vaccine here and the staff was very friendly and pointed me in the right direction. My appointment was for 3:35 pm and by the time I arrived at 3:20 pm they were already calling for 3:45 pm time slots. Very efficient system and layout. No issues while getting my vaccine here.

Our first time at an NHL game, and Marc's favorite team! It was so much fun and our seats were excellent. We paid roughly 150$ each and we were in section 107 Row N seats 7-8. Basically right behind the opposing teams bench, but Sens shooting twice on that end. Definitely glad we took these seats!!!!!

Visited from out of town for the season opener of the Ottawa Senators. Always traffic to get into the parking lot and also to leave the parking lot. New mobile parking pass in lot 5 and 9 however makes parking easier. Venue is clean and good view from even 300 level. Good food and drink options available from the different vendors. We had chicken tenders and it was delicious!
