Our midwife Angela Bowers from the Midwifery Group of Ottawa was excellent during our birth. She was patient and encouraging and gave us all the space we needed while still being fully supportive when necessary. Jessica, although not at our birth, was great with pre and post natal care as well, they are a great team. Sulene (sp?) who was the secondary midwife at birth was also amazing and gave our son Benjamin all the attention he could possibly need to have a healthy entry into this world. And finally.....The Birth Center... It was everything we could have hoped for... The Ottawa Birth Center felt like a super clean hotel stay (for the few hrs we were there). We enjoyed the tub (hot tub ;)) the large shower, the adjustable bed and even the food was pretty great!.. After coming home with our new bundle of joy my husband suggested that we "check back in" to the birth center for a relaxing vacation ha ha. They provided us with water, coffee, juice... anything we needed pretty much as well as gave us a little gift bag with items for our newborn and for mama as well :). Overall I'd say we were well taken care of during our 5hr visit. Thank you for an amazing, birth experience

My husband and I did both the two day Prenatal class with Colette and the two day Bringing Baby Home class with Erin. We would, without hesitation, strongly recommend that every expecting parent take these two classes. The classes answered many of our questions and raised issues we had not even known were issues. We left both classes feeling substantially more informed and better able to seek out additional information. The classes also left us feeling more educated and empowered about the labour and delivery process as well as what to expect once we brought the baby home. The classes also helped us better advocate for what we wanted during the labour, delivery and hospital visit.

Really a nice and clean place! Highly recommend this place for a normal birth.

Gave birth here May 2021 to my first baby and it was perfect. I felt 100% safe the entire time and loved being able to utilize the bath & shower during labour. So happy I went with my gut and chose this birthing centre.

Gave birth to our June 2020 baby here and had a great experience (even with the new rules). I felt super relaxed and definitely will come back if we have another baby 😊

The staff is supremely courteous and makes you feel at home. Their professionalism is par excellence. I observed the staff provide detailed instructions to the new parents and the eagerness to answer the latter's questions was not just reassuring but heart warming. Away from the more formal and regimented milieu of a hospital, the Centre is a superb idea for those who wish to seek more personalized attention in the process of giving birth and tiding over the initial humps that any new parents can likely experience or anticipate.

Everyone without risks should delivery their baby here! I will never forget the amazing job done by the midwives and their top notch facilities during my daughter birth! Thank you!

Was an excellent experience for my family

5 stars for the birth experience while we were there. But our TENS machine that was left in the room, was stolen from us. We had forgotten it in the room before leaving for the hospital, vividly remembering that it was left on a chair in our room, and the birthing center denied it ever being there. Maybe the cleaning person stole it, or maybe the birthing center took it and denied seeing it, to have an additional machine for themselves. In summary, always check your belongings before leaving the room, but the birthing center is also partially responsible for this loss. Never trust anyone in the birthing center.

I was so happy with my experience here. It's both spacious and very private. The birthing tubs are huge and the environment is relaxing. I don't think you can find anything like that in a hospital here.
