Richcraft RC is one of the best facilities of this kind in Ottawa. It is relatively new, well maintained and very well equipped. It has something for everyone, from indoor swimming pools to a fitness and cardio centre, from two full gyms to several community rooms. Outside, there is a very decent artificial turf soccer field, two beach volleyball sand courts, a skateboard park, and a children’s play area with great play structures and an amazing splash pad. The complex backs into the Trillium Woods Park, and there is lots of wildlife around.

The open gym policies and system are terrible. They do not take full advantage of the considerably large gym, allowing only a maximum of around 15 people in when there is clearly room for more (20-25 people). When combined with the fact that there is no online booking option (as far as I know of), the open gym in Richcraft is easily one of the worst I have ever experienced. I advise that you improve the system in order to take full advantage of the building's very nice gym.

Wow, what a fantastic place, with great amenities for every age. We used the pools and sauna. For rec swim they even had one fitness lane available... plus I love the thoughtful warmer water for the babies/kids' pool because tired parents of young kids can just stay there, comfortably. For teens, there was the challenge of the diving board, water basketball hoop, and big float toys. Wheelchair pool ramp beautiful! The sauna was big enough to seat 25 people. The life guards were also amazing. There were plenty of them, equipped with life saving gear, and they were all scanning their areas carefully.

We love this place. Every weekend we are visiting the pool and sauna. Very clean, good organization, nice team. Near the place available free parking. Behind the place good play structure whit the splash pad. Inside the place clean washroom and change room. Upstairs nice gym.

Please get a online ticket buying policy for open gym as it sells out way too fast. Also increase open gym capacity each gym can hold 25-30 people (As there are three nets 3 5 on 5 half court or 3 4 on 4 half court games can be run) instead currently the maximum capacity from what I am reading and have experienced is approximately 15.

Nice facility, friendly staff. Close to transit and restaurants. Skatepark , volleyball court and kids park surrounding the building. Great pools for family swims; shallow pool is large, heated and warm. Clean change rooms and bathrooms. There are large gymnasiums for various sports and activities and a gym on second floor. Reasonable rates.

Really pretty, although they repeat certain song too much, and it drives people crazy! Come here once in a while, never daily.

Great turf field to play soccer or other games. THe only annoyance is bugs (moskitos are coming by hundreds). Easy and free to park your car too.

Very good service, the staff is friendly and very helpful, gym space is fairly open and has all the essentials for a good workout. Pool is pretty much always open and is open for swimmers of all skill levels. Lots of good fitness programs to ensure that you get the most out of your workout. Haven't had a bad experience here yet, highly reccomend for anybody trying to get a little more active but wants more than just a standard gum membership

Great facility. The building is new and modern with a variety of equipment. I went there for swimming. There is a 25m pool and a kids pool. The water is clean and warm. The only drawback is that you need to reserve slots online before coming.

Spent a wonderful afternoon at the splash pad on a hot summer day. Great facility, but could use more shaded areas.

The pool itself was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space for swimming. The water temperature was a bit cold. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt safe and secure with the lifeguards on duty. The changing rooms and shower facilities were also clean.

Went to Richcraft today to try out the 1:00 PM Aqua fit class. I'm a senior. I'm overweight. I have disc issues. I'm self-conscious. I knew this type of class would be good got me, but l've been procrastinating. Today, l just went for it. Got on my suit showed up for the class...showed up for myself. The reception staff were friendly (loaned me a padlock). The chane room was spacious and super clean. The water was the perfect temperature. The crowd was friendly. The instructor was fabulous. I found myself running in the water (haven't run for well over a decade). The music was aerobic beat Christmas music. I gravitated to another large lady who was singing along to the music and joined her. I came out happily exhausted. I'll be back...

Nice pool for lessons but why does it have to be so stinking hot in here? No other pool I’ve been to is this warm.

Clean, light and absolutely stunning facility! Great for kids, wonderful swimming pool. But beware of the vending machine - it will eat your coins and never return 🙈

I highly recommend this facility. The staff are all professional from the office to the swimming team that we have experienced. also I want to especially highlight a member at the swimming team named Abdulla and his colleagues at the swimming team! They did a wonderful job, incredibly professional, attentive, proms, and friendly. They helped making a great experience for the kids and yet parents. a seamless and smooth one. Amazing swimming pools. Two of them. One for small children and one is Olympic size. Warm water. Friendly guards. Female changing room has only two shower cabins which is quite annoying.

The fitness facility is pretty good for the price you pay - even with swimming pool access the membership price is low. This place also offers classes for zumba, yoga, indoor cycling, aquafit, swimming and even rock climbing. Compared to most place this place rarely get full. Highly recommended.

Awesome facility, as clean as a rec center can be, great pools and modern build. This facility good above and beyond, plus the location is perfect.

Good weightlifting facilities and great for swimming. However their drop is system is simply terrible as the require you to come in beforehand and purchase tickets, often ticket are sold our hours before the session, and they can only be purchased at the location itself. If they added the ticket purchase to their website it would be a lot more convenient.

What a great place to play volleyball! Top quality hardwood floors, tight nets with antennae, 3m high windows, plenty of space around the courts to serve and leave your gear. Decent parking.

Wonderful facilities and a great water park, playground and pool

Staff are always available and courteous. The facilities are top notch and there is flexibility for start times for the lane swimming. Lifeguards there do very well managing swim etiquette for visitors as well. Staffing limitations may mean that on occasion they keep the sauna closed, fyi. The private showers can get busy fast though.

This place is pure racist. Only the priveledged are welcomed here. First day of swim class for my 1 year old it was all ok to take pictures and was told without asking that I am allowed to take pictures of my child as long as trainers n other children are not in the picture. Which i have 100% respected as i dont care to take pictures of any other person here. Second class n the man comes and tells me i can no longer take pictures or even be around for the sessions. I didnt create any disturbance for the class n he came n spoke so disrespectfully and ruined the class for my child and for us first time parents. He embarassed us in front of all other parents. Worst place to bring your young children because only people welcomed here are priviledged ones. All based on skin color.

Great spot for families with a great park behind the complex. Facilities are clean and the shallow pool (waist deep) is warm and great for kids.

This is a newish rec complex - pool and gym facilities abound indoors; splash pad, play structure, volleyball courts, skateboard park are nice outside. We've been a few times for kids parties which are also a hit with the gym setup and staffed to help the kids. The activity rooms also have access to a shared full kitchen. What makes me smile here are the fox statues in the entry area. Lots of parking.

Great facility with a modern look, good amenities in fine shape, and lots of programs and courses. I wish that they'd be more stringent about getting people to take outdoor shoes off around the pool deck, though. It can get dingy and dirty.

Beautiful recreation facility! Large and small indoor pools available, large gymnasium, rock wall, meeting rooms, friendly customer service. Great place to take the kids. Check for COVID safety measures.

I can not undrestand why the system for online booking is awful for this facility. I tried 6 times to book the basketball spot on Sunday but it always shows full. WHO IS BOOKING ALL THE SPOTS RIGHT AFTER OPENING?.. I had to walk in there A FEW TIMES and there was no space available. We are paying tax to have those facilities in the city and have our teenagers use them whenever they need. Unfortunately, the city focus is on the elderly people and they forgot about ours teenagers and their needs. This facility had the same issue before pandamic so the city can not blame covid for this awful service.

A great facility for a variety of activities.

Easily accessible complex. Stays clean and offers many indoor as well as outdoor activities. Reasonable fees for all activities. There's a bus station close by too.

Management of swimming pool is awful. They restrict membership paying public to two swimming lanes while the rest of the pool half empty, occupied with so called "swimming lessons". What you will experience is very crowded swimming in two lanes, no fun. It is not worth of the membership fee. Sauna is pretty bad too.

The contemporary building features include: lobby with large open staircase, mezzanine, suspended red mobile skiff ( racing boat ); elevator, roof deck ( locked access ); balcony; two full height glass curtain walls. The pool is 25 meters, includes start platforms. There are five change rooms. The fitness rooms combined overlook the lobby ( on one side ) and gym ( through windows ). The upper floor has a maple finish ceiling ( northern lodge aesthetic ). Outdoors, stone paving, artwork: six lifelike foxes ( sculptures ). Skateboard park, splash playground, toddler swing and playground, basketball and the up todate pitch ( foot, soccer ) make up the sporting facilities ( no tennis courts, no football field ). Lack of baseball parks as well as public tennis courts is disappointing because Ottawa invested close to $ 50 million here.

Far away from us in Kanata North. But worth it. Water is warm and the change rooms are great. My son has done lessons here for years. We've had quite a few good teachers as well.

I enjoy the warm water pool as it is the only form of exercise I can do. The staff are very helpful and the lifeguards are warm and helpful.

Great staff, good Covid protocols. We're mostly there for swimming, and the pool facilities are great. Lots of room and a really good leisure pool as well. Only complaint, and it's a small one, is that you have to exit by the back of building and walk around to the front parking lot, which can be a bit cold in winter, especially after swimming. A great facility nonetheless.

Great splash, great park, great skate park, awesome pool, nice gyms, soccer fields and courts lovely. Trails nearby are also wonderful.
