Great service, but had to return 2 dog toys because they just didn't last, and I think they were defective in design. Even though I had lost the receipt, the staff had me on file in their system, returned one and gave me a store credit for another (different sales ckerks within 2 days). Really excellent service. Was there to buy frozen Primal cat food, but can't seem to find it in Ottawa, including at this store.

The staff were very friendly and really helpful. We found the prices for a few things higher than we are used to, so shop around a little. Good selection considering it's a small store but in a pinch, they are a good option if you need something for your dog or cat.

Pet Valu sells a wide range of supplies for all kinds of critters. They don't sell animals. They do offer critters (mainly cats, kittens, and sometimes bunnies) for adoption from local shelters. If you're serious about adopting, call before you go to see if any are available. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Love coming here! Staff is always friendly. We also have a Great Dane puppy who is nervous around people, but gets better each time we go! A big thanks to the staff for also being patient with him and letting us expose him to other people!

Went in to look at cat but cat was gone see my review on Ottawa Humane. But these people were super friendly and kind and felt for the fact we just missed the cat by a couple hours they gave us directions to Ottawa humane from their store using no highways and wrote it down has a people who don’t drive in Ottawa usually it was very helpful and kind I will shop there if I ever I’m in that area again

This store must not be too popular because they seem to have old stock. When I noticed the per food bag I'd bought was past the Best Before date I returned it but things went downhill from there. They refused to exchange it because it was open (unfortunately I needed it right away and didn't check the date 1st) but what really surprised me was the abrasive challenging attitude. Not sure if its the same person described above or if its a store culture thing..Wish I'd noted the name because she was fairly rude (on a weekday afternoon).Not sure who puts up with that but it doesn't include me.

Cute and small pet store. Staff are kind and didn't mind when my 80lbs sheepdog decided to jump on the counter (surprise for both us) !

It's your typical store for petstuffs with helpful, friendly staff and great ambiance, however the things were significantly overpriced, but the service was excellent.

Bit of a small location but they have items that PetsMart doesn't carry so I typically pop in here every now and again to see what's new.

Although they didn't have a large selection of small pet stuff (was looking for rat chewing supplies), the staff was friendly and helpful with trying to find another location that would have the products I was looking for. The staff who helped me was knowledgeable on his products and pet requirements.

Went in fully intending to buy a dog bed, beds were up high on shelves where you couldn’t see or touch them, two staff members at front desk doing nothing with no other customers in the store didn’t even bother to look up or ask if they could help with anything, oh well took my money elsewhere

I went a few time to this location, store is well maintained, theirs a guy with beard in the staff, he seem to be very nice greating me and at the cash too.

Best place in Kanata for pet care and supplies by far

Every time I come in here I’m sad and amazed that they keep the tropical fish in such small containers and all individualized. I’m not sure how this can’t be considered cruel. This is solitary confinement at its worst. Absolutely no stimulation. I wouldn’t be surprised if these fish have ptsd.

More than extremely impressed. The sales clerk, a very well dressed young lady, was extremely kind and assisted or doing needs. She went above and beyond to provide years fit or dog that was being fitted for a jacket. She then made sure to have water for him to wash the treats down. So this while providing sales assistance. The store was clean and well stocked. Lots of parking. Highly recommend the most this for your pet needs and as an example of how to staff retail locations.

The fish are kept in ridiculously small tanks. This store obviously cares more about profit then pets.

Staff here value customers and go out of their way to serve & support us. They are flexible with policies that are within their power to be flexible about. We spend a lot of money at Pet Valu and really appreciate that they appreciate us.

Wow, what a wonderful visit today. Sary helped me today picking out stuff for my puppy. What a ray of sunshine. Knowledgeable and funny and professional. I thought she was the owner since she cared so much. Great service 6 out of five stars. What a rare thing to go shopping and leave the store with a smile on my face. What a great little store. This will be my pet store from now on. A bit more pricey than I’m used to but service like that is worth it.

I used to go to this pet value frequently and I always really liked all of the staff until recently. There is a newer girl who works there with buck teeth or something and she is very rude to customers. I saw her yelling at another staff member too once. She talks really loud and screams and she is starting to scare me away I have started going to the store on hazeldean road now. I would not recommend this pet value just because of this girl I have seen her acting condescending every time I go there and she is there. I am sure I am not the only customer she has scared away which is sad because I used to really like this store before she started there the atmosphere was always friendly.
