Don't come here for the grooming services. So I am really happy that there's a pet valu store opened close to my home. I brought my Mini poodle over to do a grooming. When I talked with the grooming lady I showed her a picture as below and she said for this style she would need about 3 hours. I asked if it is possible to give me a call when it is done. She said no problem. So after 3 hours waiting. NOBODY called. I have to call the store, and I have been they already finished grooming. But no body called. Well let's see how good the THREE HOURS work. Well, as the second photo below, I will say it is nothing like the photo I showed to the lady. And my dog usually very enjoy the grooming but this time she was shaking and screaming want to get out the store. I won't want to judge their professional work. But base on the results I wouldn't recommend any poodle owner risk their dog's appears.

The store was clean and well organized. I went there to look for a hard to find dog toy for large dog breeds and found exactly what I was looking for and then more. I was also looking for a liver dog treat for our non-food motivated dog who seems to only like this one type of treat, but I didn't know the name or want it was exactly other than the flavour and the incredibly helpful and sweet employee gave me some recommendations and then even gave me a small paper bag with a sample to take home to see if that was the right kind. I can't believe how amazing the service was. And even more than that, it was exactly the right kind of treat so I am absolutely going back today to buy a bunch of those treats and to thank the staff. Wonderful experience overall!

What an amazing local pet store! I needed a new jacket for our dog and the selection was fantastic, the price was excellent and the service was PHENOMENAL! I believe the woman working was named Sherri. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour! I will definitely be recommending this Pet Value location to my friends. Went to the self-serve dog wash there and it was great! Had everything we needed to bathe our 2 dogs (except a comb/brush). There were 2 stations there so we were able to wash both dogs at the same time So much easier than washing them at home in the bathtub!

My friend and her puppy visited this location on March 6th for a grooming appointment and 3 hours later she had to rush her puppy to the emergency vet. As an owner of a 1 year old puppy myself, it is VERY disheartening that not only did the store accuse her of things she did not do, they also claimed to not have any video footage of the incident. Also, the store policy states no dogs should be off leash within the store but the groomer’s dog is off leash and wandering in the grooming area. Edit: She already tried to resolve this with corporate through 1-800-PET-VALU as well as the store owner himself but she is not hearing back.

If you care at all about your pet, do not get it groomed there. They may hurt your cat or dog, and will not claim any responsibility and gaslight you into thinking that it is your fault.

Every single time I walk in the service is above and beyond! I've never left unsure of anything during my interactions here. Just fantastic. I live in the east end and go out of my way to have my dogs groomed here.

Worse customer service, extremely unprofessional. Greedy Liers Aldo stay away from this location for grooming unless you want cuts. Unprofessional in every way

Pet Valu Riserside South just lost my business. I will be taking my business to Chew That where my experience with the staff has always been positive and where I will be supporting another local business. After two bad phone encounters with a dismissive and abrupt store manager regarding online orders that Pet Valu always seems to struggle with, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. Upon expressing to her my dissatisfaction with her service and her unwillingness to help, I was told “oh that’s nice”. When I complained to head office, I was told that the manager was trying to help me and they left it at that. I have two Labs that eat a lot of food and Pet Valu would’ve had my business for years to come. That’s really too bad.

Went here with my brother to grab some dog food and treats for the dogs. The employees that were working were very helpful and friendly. The store was kept clean and organized. I really enjoyed my trip here.

Amazing staff! Honestly, such kind and helpful staff who helped me find the perfect litter for my cuties! One of mine is sensitive about texture and the other one gets easily dry feet from chemical litters. Yet they recommended a corn based litter and it worked out amazingly! Also have amazing food, toys and other products for cats, dogs and other pets! Definitely worth it to go every time for the great products and awesome staff! 👍

Groomer Stephanie at this location cut my pup and showed zero remorse or accountability. Still made my mom pay for the haircut. Went back the next day she said "it happens". Not even a sorry. Manager Sherri is just as terrible. Sided with her the whole time. Didn't handle the situation at all. Didn't get me in contact with the right person and didn't compensate whatsoever. Again no sorry. No one elses dog should go through this and both these staff member should never deal with animals again.

Staff are friendly enough but the shampoo in the pet wash is like water and barely lathers. They must water it down or something. I have not had this problem at other Pet Values, just Riverside South. Both times I went same thing with all the Shampoo. Update Aug 2023 - I gave it another try and the shampoo is back to being like regular shampoo.
