Sorry to say I was disappointed today with Pet Value in Stittsville I know with Covid19 we have to be very careful. I waited outside and took my turn. Saw myself into the store once the last person left. I went and put the big bag of dog food in my cart waiting my turn for an employee to get off the phone in front of me. Finally got to the cash and they were not taking cash. Only debit or credit. This sign should be at the door prior to waiting in line. This is a lessons learned for this location.

Had a poor online customer service experience with Pet Valu with respect to items I ordered and lack of flexibility during a pandemic. Returns are only 30 days compared to PetSmart which is 60 days, and PetSmart was very flexible to accommodate my circumstances (I have a person in my household at high risk of serious illness, so COVID is a serious threat). Pet Valu on the other hand was rigid with its policy, and as a result, I am stuck with an item I cannot return. For this reason alone, especially with so many competitors such as Global Pet Foods and Pet Smart locally, as well as many online options, I will no longer shop at Pet Valu and unfortunately for the local store, will not purchase my pet needs there.

I purchased a product (Zodiac InfeStop for small cats) that was mislabeled with cost there was marginally lower that's what I was charged. I told the cashier that the price is wrong, she said that I'm probably mistaken as I picked the item from another section. After paying for the product I went back to the isle and I looked again only to confirm that I was charged a higher amount. I told the cashier that I wasn't mistaken and she said "sorry" while walking away. this is probably one of the worst customer service I've experienced. I won't be returning to your store.

I am really impressed with the customer service at this place. I had dropped by several weeks ago to pick up some pet food. The item I picked up happened to be in the wrong spot on the shelf, with a sale sticker below. I didn't realize this at the time. When the item rang up at the cash, it was a higher price than I expected. When I asked the cashier about the price, she went to confirm and then noticed the mistake. Long story short, she immediately offered me the item at the sale price. I really was not expecting this. But it was definitely appreciated!

A lovely and spacious location for pet products. The staff at this location is so friendly and they always greet the pets with treats. They also have bathing unit where you can bring in your pet for self cleaning and they provide you with towels, shampoo and water hose to clean your dog.

This is definitely my favourite Pet Valu location. The staff are really helpful and are keen on answering any questions I've had. They're very personable and easy to get along with. When products are out of stock, they're happy to submit a special order. The store itself is a little on the small side, but it has everything I need in one location.

I was looking for a less destructible chew toy for my dog and the employee was extremely helpful and patient. Great chew toy too

The generous spirit of this company and the staff of the Stittsville location in particular is the reason this store is so great.

Every time I come in here I’m amazed that they keep the tropical fish in such small containers and all individualized. I’m not sure how this can’t be considered cruel. This is solitary confinement at its worst. Absolutely no stimulation. I wouldn’t be surprised if these fish have ptsd.

The fish are kept in ridiculously small tanks. This store obviously cares more about profit then pets.

Wow maybe you should do some research before judging an amazing store and business. Betta fish are not tropical and they can even be found in the wild in rice field puddles. Every time I’ve been in the store the beta fish are in clean containers and have looked happy and healthy. The service at this location is what has been making me come back for the last 6 years.

We just got a new puppy and we've needed supplies for him. In the past 5 days we've been to the store 3 times for various purchases that we realized were needed. Each time the staff have been abrasive, impatient, unaccommodating and unhelpful. We've spent over $350 in the past 6 days but we've had enough of the unpleasant staff. Today, May 28, 11:20am, we went to get a small KONG and a few other items for teething needs. The clerk didn't give us a chance to look inside the bag at the products we had purchased before shutting the door. When we looked inside, the kong was pink. We knocked and waited 5 minutes for the clerk to return and we politely asked if we could exchange the pink one for a different colour as our puppy is a boy. Her response was "NO RETURNS" and we said "I just bought it" and she replied, "YOU GET WHAT YOU GET" and turned and shut the door. This isn't a new attitude from the various staff, we've experienced it before, but kept giving the benefit of the doubt that someone was simply having a bad day - but enough is enough. I have three cats and a new puppy and I will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER CENT in this store. If I could give a negative stars, that's what I would post, but the minimum is 1. Well done, PetValu Stittsville.

Sometimes the staff offer to help you, sometimes not, but they are all nice. But as for the stuff that I got for my automatic cat litter box, I asked them which one you would recommend and they went online just like me and what I picked jam my machine... so basically anything that clumps too fast is bad for the machine! Perhaps a bit more education on that, since a lot of people have cats! Beside that, the store is really well maintained and clean.

Always a great place to stop and wash your dog on the fly. Everything thats needed is made available for you. Very helpful staff. Always had great experience with the connected Groomingdales trimming dog rescue nails.

I usually shop at Global Pet on Eagleson Rd. I guess I’m used to their amazing friendly service at Global. I had questions about freeze dried cat food. Both clerks seemed to busy to take time. I ultimately left feeling frustrated at the lack of customer service provided. Pet Value could learn a lot from Global Pet on satisfying the needs of their customer.

Always been treated with kindness here! The staff is so personable. They’re also very knowledgeable of the products they sell. I returned opened cat treats because they made my cat sick and they took them without question!

They're usually very friendly and helpful there but just 1 experience "put a bad taste in my mouth" so to speak. It was seniors day 2 months ago and I wanted to place a Curbside order called around 7:30 p.m. and didn't get an answer so I left a couple of messages on their voicemail. Hoping to get in before 9, closing time. Long story short they didn't return my call so at 8:50 I called again and a girl said that they had already closed their til so I couldn't get anything now (I literally live 3 or 4 doors next to them so I could've gone right over) Anyway, she said that she'd leave a note for the morning people and then they could give me the seniors discount. Well when I went the next morning the girl said that they were doing it this once couldn't do it again. When I told her that I had called starting at 7:30 the previous night she said "I know, we were really busy"! Well this made me very uncomfortable and since I was a retail manager most of my life and thinking how rude that was of her to say to a customer, I have been shopping elsewhere, unless absolutely necessary!

Store has moved across the parking lot to a larger location. Just opened. Bright, clean and a lot more selection. Clean store, staff are so helpful and happy. Lots of choice with a very personal touch. Lots of free parking in a mall that is not too busy.

Washed the dog with the help of the supplied soap, great water pressure hose, towel and blow dryer. Wasn't busy so I could take my time. Dog treats were loved as well.
