The Giant Tiger store located at 2480 Walkey road has undergone a major renovation by opening up another large modern shopping complex beside the older store. Giant Tiger is proud to be known as a low cost Canadian grocery/ clothes and household goods store. This makes it a great place to shop in direct competition with walmart. The new store's prices are great especially on featured sales and lots of people take advantage of this. Maybe you can save going there too because this Giant Tiger store is Grrrrrr eat! Very large, clean and well organized store. Great deals to be found. First GT I have seen with fresh meat only section. Very respectfully in separating Kosher/Halal meats - even have frozen Halal/Kosher pizza!! Everything for the family and home. Service is friendly, though little bit slow at the cash! Would have like to have seen a couple more cashiers at checkout. There are staff throughout the store doing various tasks, so if you need help with something, it is not difficult at all to find someone. That is a huge plus. Excellent location, tons of parking. Wheelchair friendly, no stairs at all. #localguide

The store is closing on March 6 and will re-open inside a brand new store attached to the main office building located right next to it. I wanted to go inside the old building before it closes officially. It will be a much needed change! The building locks really old. The remaining food and products were sparse but with excellents price cuts. The new Giant Tiger store will be a nice change.

A hateful and racial store I have ever went too in Canada! Tuesday I was in store with my 9 years daughter buying her school snacks by mistake she scanned item twice and when aske an employee to help us and remove it, she told as you black people you are stealing when we asked what happen she told us we shut your month this isn't your country! when called manage by the name Chris conform the statement of his employee by doing nothing. according to them Gian tiger Walkley road Ottawa is white store the black people are not welcomed.

Spacious and good lighting inside. The exterior renovation and the new head office building look marvellous. Such a modern feel.

They Made some huge upgrades in the store. Been going to this gianttiger my whole life. It's by far one of the best Giant Tigers in the city. Very clean & tidy as well.

A more spacious location with lots of parking. The grocery section is large but it's hard to find a significant price discount. I like how they carry Canadian brands and if you're a smoker they sell cigarettes. It would be nice for them to have better deals and better quality clothing. Any clothing I have purchased has developed holes.

Went to buy a sweater with clear signage of price. They argued the tag was different, so that's the price. Then they added since the sweater was a larger size it cost more. Price difference was $9. Kind of crazy in my opinion. After leaving frustrated I almost broke my ankle in one of the many pot holes in their parking lot.

Most of the items in the flyer isnt available..Veggies section is really poor there.

Wow .. gotta be the biggest Giant Tiger around . Love the renos they've done. Hadn't been here in some time and was pleasantly surprised. Great store. Super groceries section. And tons of stuff for the whole house and family.

Giant Tiger does not allow you to use their own gift cards to purchase product from their website, which I think is ridiculous. Most of the stuff in GT stores is already picked through and the stuff nobody wants is left. There is more option online and some people don’t use credit cards as payment or Visa Debit. Also, the product in store is often returns that other people have tried on.

I recently purchased a Chefman 12-inch electric skillet on the Giant Tiger website and nowhere in the product description did it state that the item was used so I expected to receive a new item well it turns out the item I received is in fact very used there's scratches all over inside the skillet you can tell where someone tried to use marker to cover some of them, there's nicks up near the top rim part of the skillet, there were hairs on it, thoroughly disgusting. How can Giant Tiger be passing a used item like this off as new or else when my shipment was packed someone grabbed the wrong box. At any rate this skillet should not even be being sold it's in fact not even good enough for the used store it's that bad inside it's so scratched up. If in fact this is part of Giant Tiger's policy to be selling a used item trying to pass it off as new this is really unacceptable!

I bought 10 Hanes face masks at 6081 Hazelden Rd Stittsville store #60. I opened the closed pack and seen that the straps for the ears were not stretchable. THESE MASK WOULD NOT FIT. They were not used or tried on. You could see that they would not fit. I paid $24.00 +tax. When I got the manager GLEN he said the box is open and I am not going to take a $24.00 right off with them. How do you look at a product in a sealed box with out opening it. You take back clothing when people have tried them on these were just looked at. Where is this exchange police that they have. This store is going down hill. I said that I am going to stop going there he said that's up to you I am not taking a loss. Keith Hyndman

I don't give a toss about the amount of parking available - that's trivial. The customer service is always lovely, which is key to a great shopping experience.

Giant tiger sucks so much. I hate going here every time I regret it. Terrible selection of random items I honestly can't even tell what this store is. It's not convenient and it's not a grocer. Terrible value and selection. Probably never went in and left satisfied . The management is terrible at my location. Everytime I go in there is a huge line and nobody on cash. What blows me away is everytime they call for carts when they should call for more cashiers , every time.

It was a quick trip this time, but I was lucky enough to find everything I needed. *I have moved since writing this review and I have to admit, the staff at the Giant Tiger I shop at now has just as amazing staff. Looks like the canada bread scheme is getting closer to your business. Maybe it's time to make some good will guesters and have your stores start donating to the Daily Bread Bank close to them instead of throwing away perfectly good food. So many have lost so much with bread pricing but seniors and low income suffer thed the most. Do the right thing

This store is very clean and modern. It doesn't look like a typical Giant Tiger store. The layout is well setup and allows to find items easily.

This is Giant Tiger's flagship store, right next to their Ottawa headquarters. Nice location. Everything is well organized. Lots of parking available.

To be honest I drove all the way from Carling to Walkley thought this place would be nicer and bigger compared to the size you at out from outside lol the staff were friendly.

Have had what I went in for so far. Friendly cashier's,the one with the Halloween eye makeup is awesome.🤗🤗

Went there looking for curtains and didn't find the size I was looking for. There was a bigger selection than the other location though. Staff were also more helpful.

I went to get a few thing. The store is in the process of moving so I had to take a look at the discounted items. Generally I would rather shop at G.T before going to a Walmart. Sales are good and their VIP program is very nice with options for the savvy customer..

It like a super special dollar store for things not a dollar. Very basic food, frozen entrees, fresh produce,men and women's clothing,toys,basic electronics etc. If you live in the area you really want to be there for the bargains at least once. A bit of fun to find good prices.

Horible customer service for online orders. I made an online order at 12.40am through giant tiger online store shipped to home address. They withdrew the amount of $117.30 the full amount of my purchase. Now there are 4 more charges from them all different amounts. Hours on the phone, being transferred to the wrong people, dissconnecting the call... the only answer that i am given is one I cannot accept is that they couldn't fulfill all orders online so sent item orders to different stores and each store is putting those items on hold on my card but I am using debit Visa to it is withdrawing all of this extra money taking away my availability to my funds. I approved a hold of my full purchase of $117.30 I did not approve for the additional $314.94 withdrawn from my bank account. I cannot accept this as legal and am discusted with customer service trying to convince me this is the way it is and to wait 3 to 5 business days for my money to be released when I did not approve of these extra charges in the first place. I have had zero resolution and while on these calls more charges were going through my account. I spoke with TD Canada Trust and he was seeing them pop up. It went from 2 extra charges to 5. DO NOT SHOP ONLINE IT IS A DISASTER and because of no fault of my own my 117 dollar purchase cost me over 400 and because it happened on a Friday I now cannot do my grocery shopping until Giant Tiger returns the unauthorized withdraws of $314.94 which of course will not be until next week leaving my family short on cash.

Was one of the best being its main store attached to their distro but they've slowed down on teaching their new employees proper customer service. I removed a star. I hope can change it back to a 4 again or a 5 provided I recognize improvement.

Love this store. Love the discount prices. Staff are great. Just wish they have more of bigger sizes for men (Big and Tall) 4X or 5X clothing. They do get them in but they don't last long. They have great sales. And mostly Canadian. Love GT.

On a Friday afternoon, the place got packed. The line up was crazy to pay for your stuff. The staff was very quick to add more cashiers to the front since only 1 cash was open at the time. The manager (I assume) was on the ball. The opened up 2 more cashiers and off the people went to pay for their stuff. Great thinking!
