I bought 2xPebble power bank wireless charger from the Dollarama 1651 Merivale Road Ottawa, Unit 15 Ontario K2G3K2 and the problem I found is the price which showed me on the display was three bucks ($3) and when I scanned it showed me $5. I went to the manager and informed her and took a pictures of it, I have mentioned her that’ your price has a price conflicts, and she did not accept the display price. I said what you displayed, you should charge me what the price indicated there. However, That Asian lady said no it’s $5. My scanner having a problem last time blab blab. If you want it or not ! she changed the price tag right away on the front of my, and put new stickers on them. That’s how they scam people. I have all the evidence. Not a whole lot to say.. they have an abundance of things .. it's hit and miss the staff can be quite rude depending on who's working.. but for the most part they are ok and helpful.. but it is what it is.. it's a Dollarama

horrible experience!! never work or shop from here. I feel sorry for the workers. I saw the manager being a jerk to the workers and customers. horrible experience!! The store is poorly managed and needs a change of manager for sure. I hope she goes on a vacation for good and never comes back. Went shopping with my daughter and got to see how far removed the manager was from customer service and lacked manners. As soon as I complained to the self-checkout attendant about not having cash open, the manager jumped and came running to ask what was going on with a load of entitlement in her demeanor. She needs to be replaced asap!! The manager kept nudging the self-checkout attendant to stop attending to customers and to go and manage the aisles as though we are of least importance to the store's business!!

They moved the store a couple units down (right beside winners now). Great renovations with automatic doors, self serve/cashier options, more aisles. This location does need security for the safety of their employees and customers. Hotspot for scary people

Friendly service at this location. Can get busy over weekends, that's why I go early morning during the week. Normally they are well stocked. Fairly clean store. I don't think they santitize their carts but who does anymore? Bring your ✋ hand sanitizer.

Nice store but the fact that its only self checkout is blasphemy. Plus ontop of that some of the machines dont work properly . The one i was using was constantly asking for a bag payout , while i was trying to scan my 15 items. I Recommend checking out the Wellington location.

I was here in the morning.. Shelves are empty. No price tags anywhere (not even a sticker on the products) And please give the employee (spanish speaking girl) some customer service lessons . She is rude, no smile, no sorry. I was walking and she suddenly came towards me to put the batteries on the shelf. We almost bumped into each other because I didn't know she was coming my way. The while I'm going to the self checkout; she comes towards me again to get more batteries and she wouldn't let me pass. She wanted me to move so she can proceed walking. Disrespectful

It's a good store with lots of random useful stuff however the distancing isn't stressed and you can count on people who don't care about the pandemic to push the boundaries on every visit. Stressful to visit most times. Floor directions are well marked but not enforced.

I give credit to the employees at the front entrance for making sure customers are in compliance to social distancing and to follow the arrows. I follow them accordingly as much as possible, but whenever a karen-type customer calls me out for standing too close to her friend when she backed up into me is not ok. Also, the same karen cutting ahead is not ok either. I never have any problems with the employees working there, just the customers who don't follow social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols and force antisocial behavior towards the employees and other customers, which they shouldn't have to put up with.

Hello there, I went into the Dollarama at Merivale road at around 12 pm on November 30th, 2023. I had purchased 1 bounty kitchen Towel (68 2 ply sheets) and Cascade tuff kitchen towels (6 in a pack) kitchen towels along with a bunch of other products. My family and I noticed that the price of the Bounty kitchen Towel on shelf was priced at $2.75 and the Cascade kitchen Towel was priced at $3.75 on the shelf ( I have proof as I took pictures of it). While scanning the products the price of Bounty kitchen Towel came up as $4.25 and Cascade kitchen Towel of 6 came up as $4.50 at the cash counter. When I enquired about the stock inaccuracy on the shelf, the cashier blatantly just brushed it off saying "You need to talk to the manager" and when I noticed that the manager was just there, I proceeded to enquire regarding the price inaccuracy and if they could do something about it. The manager was very rude and impolite and shouted saying she can't do anything about it. I am extremely disappointed at the lack of awareness of the employees and the manager at this particular location. They didn't apologize or even have any concern regarding the lack of professionalism/ accuracy in price. This is just a way of cheating loyal customers and ripping them off !! I hope the corporate head office will take the necessary actions to avoid such negative shopping experiences for customers at dollara 1667 merivale location in ottawa. Worst experience ever!

NEVER EVER SHOP THE MERIVALE ROAD STORE!!!! Many of the customers are rude and don't abide by the directional arrows in the aisles, and therefore do not respect social distancing. I asked black lady if she could please respect the arrows and social distancing and she blew up and said she didn't care if she gave me covid! Then a staffer came along, and he didn't maintain social distance either, and refused to enforce the aislle arrows and enforce social distancing rules. The staff in this store are very dense and very rude. This place is a COVID BREEDING GROUND, SUPPORTED BY THE STAFF. BEWARE! STAY AWAY! THIS AIN'T NO HALLOWEEN PRANK!!

Never in my life have I been more annoyed by a self checkout. As soon as they even added a self checkout, the staff stopped working the registers. The self checkout itself is terrible. First off, there's a giant monitor above your head that displays the camera. It's honestly really unsettling seeing myself on such a massive screen and it's very unnecessary. It's Dollarama, not Gucci, no one going to steal anything. The self checkout also gets extremely fussy if you try to remove your bags too soon. Some items in the store are too lightweight for the scale to even detect, so it just yells at you until you place your item in the bagging area, even if it already is in the bagging area. And lastly, when you're done checking out, it says "thank you for shopping at Dollarama" really loudly. Like, loud enough that you can hear it all the way across the store, and with the amount of people checking out at one time, all you hear while in the store, is "thank you for shopping at Dollarama" every 2-3 seconds on repeat and it's annoying. I pity the employees who hear it all day every day.

Customer service is non existent at this store. Trying to check out today was painful, the volume on their new self out stations is so.loud it is enough to give anyone a headache. Human cashiers have disappeared as somebody to hates having technology forced upon them, I will not be returning to this store

If you care about physical distancing measures do not go here. When you enter, you get told to "follow the arrows," on the ground made of green tape. But the problem is no one follows them. Not even the dollarama employees. We had an employee walk past us, breaking the "6 feet apart," public health recommendations. And they weren't even wearing a mask. There were multiple fellow customers who broke this space recommendations as well. Particularly at the checkout lines. It would be nice if they had an employee telling people what lines to go in, ensuring people followed the markers on the ground. Similar to what they're currently doing in grocery stores. In addition the crowds at the checkout lines made it difficult to enter isles in the proper direction, as marked down by the store. Overall very unimpressed and anxious after my visit here and I will not be coming back; due to caring about my own personal safety.

I'm fine with self checkouts for the most part, but the ones here are almost unusable. The employee overseeing them has to come and verify after every third item, and it takes forever because every single register does it. I felt so bad for the one employee running between them constantly. Dollar Tree still has cashiers, thankfully.

Nice store. Fully stocked. We were there for some Pet Toys. We usually shop at this place. They now have self checkout. I think they should change their name of Dollarama as nothing is available for dollar any more.

If I could give a 0 start to the manager I would. The dear manager who was there today told me to take my call out of the store when it was 30 degrees outside and I was with my daughter who is 6 years old. I bought a faulty gift card from your location and all you could tell me was to call apple myself? I called apple in front of you to see if we could reach a solution, your solution was to tell me to go and take the call in my car for more privacy? I understand that we may have bad days but our common sense and humanity should prevail. Like I said: Thank you so much for your help.

this dollarama has a great selection for crafts, gardening, outside needs and more but the only thing it really needs is more cashiers and workers . There is always huge lines when it could be avoided by having proper staff working

No cashiers this morning. They wanted to force me to act as an employee and do their work for them. I asked for a cashier and they refused. I absolutely refuse to shop anywhere where I'm doing free labour and doing employee's work and not even being paid to do work for the company. I was going to drop a $100 here. But instead I left my cart. Absolutely disgusted with this move of FORCING customers to do employee work. It is illegal for someone to do work at a company and also being unpaid. You want to take off $45 off my purchase to compensate me for working for you, sure. I'll be fine with that. That is the legal minimum you can pay an employee as you have to pay them a minimum of 3hrs. But I'm not an employee. I'm a customer. So do not force me to do your job!

The store is good and clean. I gave it 3 stars because they have the arrows on the floor to guide us, but the don't really pay attention if the people are following it or not. My experience at this place has been horrible, and I wouldn't recommend going there. Some employees are nice, while others are exceptionally rude. For instance, if you happen to be a student with a backpack, they instruct you to leave it at the cashier for reasons unclear.
