Hefty Feline. A Canadian classic. Come hither for deals untold but clearly visible. Amongst those florescent halls of this great establishment, variety abounds from food to clothes to kitchen stuff to pretty much anything in between that doesn't involve repairing a damaged Rheinmetall Leopard 2A6 Main Battle Tank that encountered heavy resistance in enemy territory, and had to hold its own for several hours before reinforcements showed up to relieve weary comrades in the heat of battle. So yeah, pretty good. I've included various photos of me meandering while my family worked through the grocery list. Service was good, the place was tidy, prices are good as one expects from Giant Tiger. The place is clean and very easy to navigate and find what ever you might be looking for.

Ok so it's a Giant Tiger. You gotta love and support a Canadian made company. This location is really great. They have a wide assortment of just about any and everything you need for really great prices. (Clothing, housewares, toiletries, food/fresh and freezer) and a lot more . I find the staff really friendly and approachable as well as helpful. We come here frequently for Grocery savings and also for clothing for ourselves and our children as the prices are pretty hard to beat. If you have not been here before stop in and see what you can find there's always a great deal to be had.

Calvin, one of the managers, took the side of a line cutter who refused to keep the six foot distsncing rule. She goaded him on to be abusive and threatening to me, he even broke the 4 foot limit ... All because I stood up for myself ... Calvin doesn't have management skills.

Giant tiger on Merivale is fantastic place to shop! The store is always flawlessly merchandised,clean and inviting. The staff are genuine and friendly and you can't beat the prices anywhere. Its no wonder why GT is one of Canada's biggest expanding retailers!

Not a very big location but friendly staff. The parking lot is terribly unkept, there's some scary holes it's pretty disrespectful to the malls customers but that's not giant tigers fault

Cheaper prices but not the best quality . The store is not that bag , it is made in Canada . Cheap curtains that you can use . I don’t recommend buying groceries because it is expensive and not much options . If you need cheap clothing they are cheaper than Walmart usually .

Was at the store this morning, Clover leaf 170 grams Tuna was labeled as $1.79. I picked 2 cans. At the cash, they charged me $3.79. A floor worker went to check the price and informed the cashier that the price was $2.79. Confusing. After 10 mnts, I stopped by Shoppers Drug Mart and bought it for $2.

Wow what incredible service I got from Jason. He went out of his way for me to get the colour of curtains I wanted when his store only had one left. Another store had several left but it was out of my way in Stittsville. Thank you so much for the amazing customer service. You went above and beyond the level of customer service im use to now of days. We need more of this these days as its lacking alot! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Every time I've gone here, the employees are what make it so great. They're a small place and need to work the room they have, which makes it a little hard for them and customers to maneuver sometimes but the staff make it more tolerable by just being the nicest people ever. Had an issue with my card, machine was declining everything I tried after. It was so so busy, I felt terrible and kept apologising. Ended up being a machine issue and we sorted it in the end. The whole time the 2 employees were so kind and reassuring me it's ok it happens, don't worry. Some people in that situation would get annoyed or huffy and I'm just so thankful that did not happen because I was really stressing and my anxiety was starting to get bad. Just a thank you to the 2 employees I dealt with. It's nice to see that there are still people who are compassionate in such stressful times. You were the difference in me being able to stay calm instead of having a panic attack. Thank you so so much. ❤️

The store is clean. Staff are friendly. They are fast at times and slow at others depending on the time.e of day. I stop in before I start work. So I'm usually in and out fairly quickly

Fortunately, I do most of my shopping west of this area, as this GT is the absolute worst when it comes to having advertised items in stock. Just today, on only the second day of the flyer, the main item I came in for was not available. Fortunately, WalMart nearby had it for the same price. Not ever bothering with this terribly managed store again. The Kanata GTs are MUCH better run.

This Giant Tiger on merivale Ottawa was amazing ! Tons of different selections then others that I have been to! Large food selection with a lot of fresh produces! The clothing selection is triple then what I have been to in other locations as well! Super happy to have stopped at this store and location! Very friendly staff very clean ! The stocked shelves and large home decor selections have me wanting to come back soon!

This is a store location I visit almost on a daily basis, due to the location of my own place or employment, and it has always been a joy, as much joy as it can be to go to a multi product grocery store. Although a small store, they always seem to be better stocked than other GT stores I have visited in the past. Will certainly head back there for my daily visits.

I really enjoy going to Giant Tiger! Inexpensive clothes, bedding, kitchen utensils as well as gadgets. I bought two pairs of warm gloves for $5.00. Not alot of people on Sunday. Thanks Giant Tiger!

Clothes are of good quality and reasonably priced, so much lower than Walmart which until recently I would support.

My go-to place for everyday items with prices that are quite affordable on most purchases.......plus the staff go out of their way to make customers feel wanted and satisfied....... which is more than I can say about my husband....... we'll to be honest my ex-husband lol.

I check out the flipp app.. I go maybe 1 or 2 days after the sale starts. They are already out of stock.. On certain items. Yes, they give rain checks. But , they normally expire before I can use them

With the new store layout, you are almost forced to use the self checkout. When I went back to exchange something, I was told it wasn't allowed for that item. I said that that information wasn't posted anywhere. She shows me that it's on the back of my receipt. Now how does that help me before I purchase something? What a racket:( Not impressed at all.

I was to this location yesterday and was not impressed by some of the staff. The girl cashier was a little bit rude and dismissive when I complained about a customer who wasn't keeping a safe distance from me. This store should be doing more about telling people to keep a respectable distance. But this is typical of the rudeness of this god forsaken city! Also some of their prices are too high and sometimes not much selection. The management needs to do more about the safe distancing rules in that store!
