I ordered 4 servings from ottawa meal prep for the first time and dont think ill be trying again. The food was just so bland and not tasty. The chicken had a little off taste to it im guessing from the lack of seasoning. The asparagus tasted like it was steamed for 3 minutes. Not to mention, the packaging is extremely poor (yes it is important). I recieved it in a classic gray plastic bag containing 3 separate plastic containers with each item rather than them putting it all into 4 ready meals. It also seemed like they would be frozen, but instead got them refrigerated only. Overall would maybe recommend if you’re looking for just basic cooked ingredients or have specific dietary restrictions. Nothing more special than that.

Have been having their wraps for a few weeks. Always have the bacon lettuce wrap. Today had it and suffered acute food poisoning. The wrap seemed stale. It is my fault that I consumed the whole thing coz I was plenty hungry. Severely nauseous and pukish till now. Zero appetite since I had the wrap. Please ensure quality control of your food. This is a public health issue. I hope no one goes through this uncomfortable experience.

This is a complete edit of my previous review. They have gone above and beyond to give me feedback on questions and concerns I had. Everything has been going well so far.. a few hiccups with who they use for delivery.. but honestly their customer service is beyond anything I've seen before. They make you feel important, especially Ori. I hope to keep this subscription for a long time, food is really food and reasonable also. - From a slightly difficult subscriber. I apologize for how annoying I can be.

Great nutritious food. Everything is properly label such as the type of food regime (paleo, keto...), the essential macros and the title of the recipes. It is very convenient where shopping and cooking food could be momentarily overwhelming. Meal Prep Ottawa got your back. Food is fresh, tasty and also healthy . It worth the investment.

This place is great! I occasionally order meals for the week from here and recently found out they have ready made to go meals too. Only 4 star because they are pretty expensive.

OMG it's as good as if I had made dinner only no waste. The vegetables are fresh with some crunch. I love the diversity of what is served every week when I leave the menu up to the chef. I order one or two weeks at a time and freeze the meals until needed knowing they are ready to eat after 5 minutes in the microwave. Best local food prep I have found.

Absolutely fantastic - great customer service and the seasonal celebration meals are INCREDIBLE! I order weekly Paleo meals, and while I'm not a fussy eater, each meal has been delicious. Not too heavy, or feeling like you're eating a processed freezer meal, just healthy home-cooked meals that don't leave me reaching for food and hour later. We recently ordered the 'Easter Feast' and I will be dreaming about that maple mustard cream sauce for some time to come LOL! Shipping is simple, and the customer service fantastic.

I was in town at a hotel for a month in the Ottawa area for work. I was looking for a meal plan to eat healthy lunch and dinners for the duration and this place fit the bill perfectly! Tried the Keto - great food but not enough for a 220 lb fairly active dude, so I upgraded to the athlete plan. This worked perfectly. Delivered to my hotel and kept in my fridge/freezer with a big/small delivery on Wednesday and Sundays. Eating out every now and then is okay but trying to eat healthier. Every time I used the in app/website chat I was answered in a matter of minutes so that was great too. Excellent service and tasty food.

Always happy with the selection as well as the quality of food. Love seeing the owner on site and working (caring) about his business. Can't beat the price, especially when they do a price drop to $8 meal. Healthy, hearty real food. Can't go wrong.

Meal Prep is absolutely amazing! Not just if you’re on the go or watching what you’re eating but for family meals too, especially for travelling! They come frozen and all you have to do is microwave them. You have the option to pick up or have it delivered. I live 40 minutes from them out near Embrun/Winchester in a small town called Morewood and they deliver! Highly recommend! Great food and staff!

This meal subscription service is so awesome, accommodating, and delicious! Had 5 meals so far (Clean and Veggie) and all have been very good and healthy! It’s been hard finding a service with Gluten-Free options - let alone an entire menu being GF! The customer service is excellent, fast, and always friendly. This is an amazing find and I highly recommend it!

Very good food, and very affordable. You can get a whole meal for about $5-$7, or a sandwich for $3. I will definitely be going again.

The gentleman that works there is very knowledgeable and hospitable. I have been looking for a place like this in Ottawa for a long time and I am glad I finally found one. I highly recommend Mealprepottawa to anyone who doesn’t always have the time to cook and want to eat a good meal. I have always taken the time to cook for myself, however, this past year has been a real crazy one for me with less time to eat clean. I was skeptical of trying this out so I shopped around and Mealprepottawa is exactly what I wanted and needed. I just received my first of many orders. I ordered the small portion of the Clean & Mean on a weekly basis. The portions are just right, the presentation is nice, very flavourful and the calories, fat, carbs and protein are identified it makes it easy to log. But the best part is that it’s affordable and worth every dollar. So happy Mealprepottawa exists!!

Amazing! My wife and I started with the keto meals then switched to mean and clean and now we are on the vegetarian option. All have been excellent with the vegetarian being our favorite. Not that we are vegetarians we just want to cut down on our weekly meat intake. We order 5 meals each for the week that gives options for what ever we are craving the other two days. Over the last few months that we have been ordering the meals its been so easy, just 40min in the oven. The microwave is an option but we prefer the oven if not in a rush. Wish we discovered this healthy tasty idea year's ago. Thank you Meal Prep Ottawa.

I have ordered the meal plans from Meal Prep Ottawa many times and I have never been disappointed. They have such an incredible variety in all of their plans. I went to their Westboro store yesterday for the first time and it was such a great shop. It is very open, clean and tons of options to pick up when you have a busy week ahead. The staff that were there were very friendly and helpful too. If you haven’t tried meal prep Ottawa and just want to check it out before trying a weekly, you will not be disappointed in the store and service. It’s top notch!

The food is very tasty and the portions are perfect. There are many choices, and everything I tried so far tastes delicious! I don’t have time to cook and I struggle with eating balanced meals, and this place is exactly what I was looking for!

The food and customer service are good. The only downside is the cost... Definitely a little expensive for a student budget. The athlete meal plan comes out to nearly 20$ for a 600 calorie meal. Considering I need to eat at least 2 a day, its just not possible to be a recurring customer. But on occasion, its definitely a great meal prep service. Also, I think that offering a meal plan with at least 1000-1200 calories could be a fun option for those who want to eat 1 plate for dinner (instead of having to eat multiple 400-600 calories meals).

Delicious food, lots of variety. I get the weekly meal plan and it has saved me so much time grocery shopping and cooking. You know you are getting healthy macro balanced meals with no bad stuff. The delivery process is seamless and they even deliver to Gatineau.

Great food but horrid experience with Rob. I'm not sure what his role is in the company but his actions resulted in them losing 600$ a month from my wallet. He has stopped replying to my emails after I called him out for his horrible customer service, so I hope he sees this. Rob you straight up lied to me and tried to take advantage of me. Please honor your promise to me or I will go into detail about my situation and I'm sure you don't want that to happen. I will also be telling a few friends who use you and they will be happy to find another service with me elsewhere. Such a shame

I just ordered my first 10 vegan meals and I must say if they are all as delicious and filling as the Buddha bowls are, I will be so happy. Easy process, delivered to my door. One of the nicest self care things I have done in a long time! I can hardly wait to try the other recipes. I will review again. So far - highly recommend.

Cooking for one doesn't inspire me to put in much effort. My diet and nutrion has suffered. This is a perfect solution to having a healthy and satisfying dinner each day. Love it! Highly recommended.

The food is very well made and super delicious, and most importantly it's healthy! It's just like a home cooked meal.

It's my first order and I just finished my first meal... the Greek ground beef stuffed peppers and it's ok. The ingredients are fresh but not a lot of seasoning and not even cheese on the pepper. It's keto but closer to the Whole 30 vibe, a bit blend for my tastes. Hopefully the rest is better as I ordered 12 meals but they all look similar in type.

So I have never tried meal made plans ever. Father was a chef. I know how good fresh healthy food should taste. Well in a small summary. It was a delight, I order this Friday to recieve my meals today. (sunday) The meals came in a nice reusable cooler bag. Went keto diet so I could see if there are any benefits as I am a road bike marathon cyclist. I am pretty good at eating correct but needed to cut my over carb loading.... this ....was...perfect. tasted great fresh tasty well made recipes. Because it is fresh I can freeze anything at the end of week to my next cycle. Will post anything further but was not expensive very affordable, efficient, never spoke to anyone just ordered online and it was at the door no problems. They have subscribe and save if your going to repeat multiple orders per week. Cheer everyone.

Solid, clean food. Macros written on each meal. Meals are "real food" - not full of junk. I have tried meal prep services all over the world and cannot recommend these guys enough.

Excellent meals, just like home made. Ketogenic menu is perfect and so glad you don’t dump the entire salt pot into the food. One can always add salt but not remove it. Finally a truly home cooked meal minus the chemical preservatives and plenty in the dish to fill you up. Thank you Meal Prep.

The vegan/vegetarian menu is not very good. I was really disappointed by my order on Wednesday. The Persian chickpeas were over seasoned, when you limit sodium you have to do the same with spices since the salt isn’t there to cut the bitterness, the flavours were right but not balanced. I couldn’t eat the maple mustard beans, all I could taste was yellow mustard and the Brussels sprouts tasted strange. Protein measure for tofu dish were off by 5g+. I won’t be ordering again.

For someone like me who works 10-11 hour days, the last thing I wanna do when I come home is think about what to make for lunch the next day. Meal prep has helped keep me in check, and it’s nice knowing my body is being fed properly. On week 4 now and so pleased!

I’ve been getting the Lean & Mean or Athletic meals for the past few weeks and there is nothing bad I can say about it. The meals taste great, portion sizes are perfect, delivery and service is great, and the price is perfect for our budget. I highly recommend to anyone.
