Very much satisfied with the service we got from People's Carlingwood Mall branch, specially thanks to Avid. My wife submitted her diamond ring for service and needed it back soon for an occasion. Avid came to rescue. Despite ongoing holiday season she did her best to quickly deliver our ring. Thanks to Avid, my wife was able to attend the program with her shiny beautiful ring. They cordially attend you, and specially Avid, she goes out of her way to make sure you get a pleasant experience with Peoples. Highly recommended.

Peoples at Carlingwood was my go to place, no more! I went today around 12:15, to have my jewellery checked (do this every 6 months) was told I needed an appointment or I would have to wait 20. Really it would have been nice if this would be indicated on their Website. Came in from out of town for nothing. Will bring my jewellery and business to Tanger from now on.

One of the staff here didn't take me seriously when I needed my ring fixed. She cut me off while speaking, spoke rudely to me and told me to call in a month because they're slowly reopening due to covid. I understand things are slowly starting to reopen but I had a feeling she was lying because she didn't seem to want to take the extra care to treat me with good customer service. I felt rushed out. So I called the one at Rideau and the woman was so sweet and kind and was able to take my ring to get fixed! Never going to this location again!

I wanted to get my wife a ring for our anniversary so we looked around with little success. We were in Carlingwood for other reasons but looked in at Peoples. She found the perfect ring and it was on sale. Avid and Jenny were extremely helpful and friendly and made sure that we got the ring sized well within the time we requested. Great service.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience today. I wanted to get my ring inspected today at 5:38pm. I was immediately greeted “hello, how can I help you?” Which was nice. However, after I mentioned what I was there for, I was informed that they close at 7, “wait no sorry 6pm, I’m doing something else right now” the employee seemed very distracted. I asked what time should I have been here by in order to be serviced, given that they close at 6pm and I was there 20+ minutes before they closed. She gave me a few runaround answers that did not answer my question, and I had to ask a few more times before I got this answer: “we stop serving at 5:30pm because we close at 6.” This location should either have updated hours on Google, or they should close their gates and inform customers upon greeting that they are no longer serving customers if anyone comes after 5:30.

Avid at the Carlingwood location went above and beyond helping me again to get the exact the perfect items for a colleague who was retiring. She listened to what I was looking for, had wonderful suggestions and provided top notch service, I was so impressed by her and my colleague was so happy! I highly recommend see her for your jewellery needs.

I went to People's Jewelers many years ago. The reviews currently look like much better than the experience I had. I brought in a beautiful ring to resize to smaller size. What was returned to me was misaligned ring, and some of the emeralds missing. When I told the customer service that the emeralds are missing, they had to verify that I wasn't lying by looking at the photos that they took of my ring before modification. They then sent my ring to be repaired with emeralds in it. But they gave me fake emeralds instead of the real emeralds that were originally in my ring. It was a beautiful ring, and this experience was really upsetting for me. I have not shopped at People's for this reason.

Above and beyond service by Souad. We bought my set online and it kept breaking. The other store wouldn’t help. We called customer service and they directed us to this store and associate. She took back the old set and got us a new one. It was sent for sizing and came back early. She is great! Thank you again!!

We had an awful experience at Tanger outlet People jewelry, when trying to proceed with an exchange for my engagement ring that was purchased in April and lost three different stones at different times. My fiancé called Avid and explained the situation she quickly came up with a solution and was so compassionate. She did everything she could to get the ring in I wanted. She is amazing and definitely needs to be shown appreciation!! Thank you again Avid, please go visit her for all your needs at the Peoples located at the carlingwood mall, you will not be disappointed :)

Everyone at the Carlingwood Store were professional, caring and knowledgeable. A very clean and nice environment. I do not have my repair back as yet but I am pretty sure that I will be happy with the results.

For a place that sells jewelry, their customer service is below subpar. I waited for about 10 minutes before someone acknowledged me when I wanted to ask about getting a chain fixed that broke less than a year after it was bought. The salesperson, who looked like she disliked working there to begin with, kept insisting that I pulled the chain myself and that is why it broke. This is the second time we bought a chain from People's that has broke and the quality of this chain was so bad that it looked like the break was beyond repair. They basically said that they couldn't help me out as I didn't have a physical receipt even though there was proof my husband had bought it in their system. I even offered to bring in a bank statement proving that we had bought the item but they said that they wouldn't accept that. I recommend shopping at a jewelry store with better quality gold pieces and that has staff that actually care about customer service.

I have enjoyed being a client of Peoples Jewellers and normally I shop at the Carlingwood location where I find the staff have always been helpful and professional and always give great service. I have always felt that the products I have purchased for gifts have been beautiful and products of value.

What an amazing experience!!!! Not big on shopping especially when I don’t know what I am looking for! Lucy at Carlingwood Mall in Ottawa was soooooo helpful!!! I needed a gift for my mom and had no clue! I don’t wear jewellery or buy it. Lucy was so pleasant and inviting. She made some suggestions (because clearly I needed it) and I think she hit the nail on the head! So yea I get this is their job, but you can choose how you do it, and she made the experience short and sweet! When she knew it was a gift she wrapped it up 110% better then I could have! In the future I will be looking for Lucy to guide my jewelry buying experience!!! I give the 5 stars for the People’s store and Lucy at Carli good Shopping Centre in Ottawa, I can not speak for all of People’s stores.

Nice place, lots of expensive stuff. Buy what you need but never get the extended warranty, it’s a rip off. Bought my wife a watch a few years earlier and stupid me added warranty including battery change. Haven’t been able to get battery changed since then, they always have an excuse why they can’t do it just now, always come back later. Forget the warranty, not worth the paper it’s written on.

I purchased an expensive ring at this location. Im convinced by the older sales lady to buy the protection plan because it included ring resizing (surprise Xmas gift). It turns out that it doesn't include resizing (extra $99 on top). Now it's too late to cancel. What a huge waste of time and money. Can you guess where I won't be going for my next jewelery needs?

If you want service above and beyond, then go to People's at Carlingwood and ask for Jenny. You wont be disappointed, trust me. Jenny you clearly love what you do and it shows. Your personality sparkles almost as much as the diamonds I bought for my wife. Thank you again for everything you did, it was greatly appreciated.

I bought my wife a 1ct diamond cluster teardrop ring and a tri colored bracelet for Christmas. Returned on boxing day to have ring resized and to purchase care plan. My wife asked for the certificate of authenticity so we could have them insured. Was told they did not offer that with these items. My wife asked how would we know if the ring is actually 1ct worth of diamonds and was told it was. My wife asked are we to take your word for it? Sales person said I wouldn't lie so my wife asked for People's to put it in a certificate of authenticity and was still refused, so my wife returned them both. Then we went to Michael Hills and spent the $3500 there because People's wouldn't give us a certificate of authenticity and Michael Hills did. Will never buy from People's again.

I've purchased my engagement rings, wedding rings, and miscellaneous jewelry from here, and the staff have always been the friendliest out of any jewelry place I've been to. Always feel welcomed and not rushed.

We dealt with Avid the store manager lovely lady to deal with. She was very nice and happy to address our issues about another worker at the store. Her customer service Is impeccable. We will gladly return to that store for any jewelry needs we have.

I can’t say enough good things about the customer service at this store. Everyone is so helpful and very attentive but not in a bad way. Avid helped me find the perfect engagement ring and was beyond accommodating when I returned as I changed my mind. Not on the marriage part, just the ring. 😄 She wanted to make sure I was happy with the ring and completely satisfied. I will be going to this store for all of my future purchases!
