This section of the Ottawa River Pathway offers great views of the Ottawa river throughout the year. In summer, the path is popular with cyclists, and pedestrians taking a leisurely stroll. At sunset, the colours of the trees take on a golden tint that reminds the observer of fall colours. In winter, the path become a cross-country ski trail and a path for snowshoeing enthusiasts.

Walked from Andrew Hayden Park to the Belltown dome and back, 45 minutes each way, very pleasant afternoon walk. The trees along the shore provide some shelter from the offshore breeze, without blocking the wide view of the river. The pathway and landscaping have clearly been recently rebuilt, so the pavement is smooth and the plants are still small. The people I encountered mostly exchanged friendly greetings. There were many cyclists, but all were considerate. Recommended!

I walk there every morning. The view is better on the river side of the Parkway, but if you're walking, the land side has fewer bikes.

My review is based on my needs for blading. This path is very rough & bumpy. The side trail off are all decieving & go right into gravel. It is very busy & runs alongside the road; very noisy, lots of traffic & construction. Too much traffic of people also. It is definitely more of a bikers path.

Nothing like taking a bike ride, a walk or whatever in this paths, any time of the year. Specially at sunset. They are spectaculars there. It's a gift from nature that we can enjoy in Ottawa, please keep this and other pathways naturally conserved for generations to come, it is invaluable to have them all around.
