My fiancé and I worked with Dave over the fall to design a custom engagement ring. Dave was fantastic - very knowledgeable and really took the time to help educate us on our options. After an initial Zoom consultation, he sent us images of the ring design by email. We then met in person to choose from a selection of three gorgeous diamonds he had ordered for us to look at. After that, we met again to sign off on a model of the ring, before receiving the finished product. At all stages of the process, Dave was great about tweaking the design to suit me and my lifestyle (e.g., setting the diamond low). We couldn’t be happier with the results!

I worked with Dave to create a wedding band that matched my engagement ring and he did not disappoint. He’s very kind, respectful of your budget, and educational. If I could give him a 6 star rating I would. I hope to use his expertise in the future with a ring I received from my Grandmother after she passed.

About a year ago I sought David’s help in doing repairs on my quite ‘worn’ 38 year old wedding bands. When the work was done, I just couldn’t believe how absolutely beautiful they looked! I brought David a beautiful boulder opal my husband bought me while in Australia, many years ago to be put into a pendant. David is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful eye for design. He knew exactly how to emphasize the stone without overwhelming it. As he’s working through the stages of design he takes into consideration how it actually looks at each stage & suggests changes if necessary. He has lots of meetings & consults throughout the process so you are involved in each step to sign off on it. There was no surprises. The diamonds he chose were tiny (as to not overshadow the opal) but great quality. The finished pendant is perfect. So thrilled with the finished product and my husband just said that turned out spectacularly! He’s so impressed with the workmanship and to see the Opal (which is stunning colours) so beautifully displayed just overwhelming. David has posted a photo on his website of the pendant. I first worked with Dave way back in the fall of 1993 to create an anniversary ring for my wife. Went back to see him recently for sizing and maintenance on that same ring, and my wedding band. Dave worked with my husband on an anniversary band for our 25th last year. The ring is gorgeous! My husband does not know a lot about jewellery and Dave had never met me, but somehow he designed the perfect ring for me. Love the sparkle :-) and as an added bonus, it is actually comfortable to wear.

Dave did some work for us resizing a ring. His rates were very competitive, his workmanship impeccable and he responds in a timely fashion and kept me updated on progress. I am thrilled at the jewelry that Dave made for me.!!! I brought in a piece of jewelry left to me by my mom, one that I never wore. Dave remodelled it into a pendant that I will:never take off! Dave was amazing to work with. We created a custom engagement ring with him. The process from start to finish was really exciting. We got an inside look into the process of making a ring. We shared all of our ideas with Dave and he was able to give us expert advice into which ideas would hold up well and which wouldn’t (something I would have never thought about on my own). If Google allowed more that five stars to be given, Dave Conger would receive them. This is a long review but if you are a person who was in my shoes, I hope you read this. This year, I decided that I wanted to propose to my girlfriend of four and a half years and I wanted to give her a ring that she could cherish for years to come to commemorate the event. One problem - I'm thirty and, before working with Mr. Conger, still had absolutely no idea what to expect, look for, or ask when finding the right ring for my (now) fiancé. I did some exploring throughout the city, meeting a few jewelers, getting quotes and trying to figure out how these sorts of things come together. It was on the advice of a close friend of mine who had worked with Dave (albeit, using his own stones) to craft an engagement ring for his (now) wife. I sent a message to Dave, heard back that day, and set up a time to speak on the phone. Dave took the time to find out my needs, explain some technical details, and fill me in on the background of engagement rings. We spent about 40 minutes on the phone, a call which felt more like listening to a fascinating podcast about ring making and gemology than speaking with someone who has "sales" as a component of their job. It was very clear to me during that phone call that Dave was the man I wanted to work with. Dave's attitude and enthusiasm for helping design the right ring and acquire the right diamond that would best fit me and my fiancé did not diminish after that initial call. Amidst COVID, our socially distant and masked meetings followed all public health guidelines. Our meetings were very quick, effective, and the time we could schedule to get together was very accommodating. Also, because I'm sure you are wondering this, Dave's prices were the most competitive among any of the jewelers I'd spoken with. No joke. Anyway, I've been singing his praises and am so grateful for to him for the way he does business. My fiancé loves her new ring and I had a learning and buying experience that, quite unexpectedly, has actually made the memory of this important life experience even more spectacular. Dave managed to effortlessly create for me something even better than what I set out to find.
