Left two urgent messages Dec 20 with no call back as of yet, December 28. My disabled brother in law received a letter on Dec 20 instructing him to self isolate as he had been exposed at a medical appointment to someone who tested positive on Dec 15. But he had two urgent medical appointments the next day. We followed the instructions which said to call OPH but waited on hold for an hour, with no sign of where we were in the queue, before finally giving up and leaving a message. We did this twice. No call back. No advice on what to do about those urgent appointments. I emailed them and they responded that we should call them. I explained that we had, they just kept saying to call them. We followed instructions again by having him tested on Day 7 after the exposure, which was Dec 22. It is now Dec 28 and we still have no results. I get that you are overwhelmed but don't give us guidelines that are impossible to follow. And please have a way of informing people on hold with you as to where they are in the queue. And don't tell us by email to call you when you know we will not be able to reach anyone. Next time I am tempted to just ignore the letter. My brother in law has never had any symptoms.

Tried to call them 2 days ago. Nurses were busy and was asked to leave a phone number and voicemail. Still have yet to hear back. Why bother offering this service?

3rd attempt to get my 4 year son a COVID Shot at a Clinic. Public Health need to do better on commination's for services ! Hours of operation were to go to take your child with out a Apt is a must these days. Planning 3 weeks out for a COVID shot doesn't work with 4 year old as this get sick all the time! Why is it so easy for a adult to get a vaccine but not for a child ?

Update (November 29): Finally feeling more or less recovered from the infection, with the exception of a lingering cough. The most significant and longest-lasting symptom for me was painfully soar muscles, which just recently finally subsided. OPH has recently informed me that many people are suffering multiple covid infections this season. How is this possible if, in theory, once infected the first time, we should have a healthy amount of natural anti-bodies to protect us from subsequent infections. PLUS many of us have the benefit of being at least double vaxed. It is unusual to hear of someone for example, suffering an influenza infection more that once per season. Are the covid-19 variants morphing that rapidly? Update (November 14): The current covid variant circulating the Ottawa Region (fall, 2022) is extremely potent. The rumors of "5 days and then you're good to go" are a lie. I am currently on day 7 and I still have most symptoms. The first 5 days of the infection were the longest 5 days of my life so far (and I'm no spring chicken!). I'm double vaxed, and in generally good health with no underlying medical conditions. My ongoing symptoms include: crushing headaches, fevers spikes 40 degrees 4 days straight, nausea, shortness of breath walking, diarrhea, soar throat, chest congestion, head and nasal congestion, dizziness, profuse day and night sweats, VERY intense muscle pain (esp. legs), hearing loss, persistent coughing up phlegm, overall weakness / fatigue, major brain fog.....AND Long-Covid expected as recent studies suggest inflammation of vascular system, long-term risk of stroke and/heart attack. Whoever engineered this virus sure knew exactly what they were doing. My heart and prayers go out to all those who have suffered losses and permanent damage since the onset of the pandemic. 10 Months Ago: Please help us OPH. Omicron cases spiking. I am so deeply worried for my health and the health of my family and friends and the community. Please give us booster vaccines every 2 months, or every month if necessary. Vaccines are the ultimate best solution to end this pandemic. Its all that matters. As for any additional measures, I will comply 100% with all restrictions and additional measures needed to get us through this pandemic. All citizens must completely trust local and provincial public health officials. I personally trust them with my life and I trust them with my children's lives. They are trained professionals with many years of medical training. If we follow their instructions, we are doing our civic duty and protecting others. I know that deep down, public health officials really do care about each and every one of us. Our well being is their highest priority. So please OPH, keep doing what you are doing and do even more of it. And citizens of the great city of Ottawa, please comply with every single public health measure, trust the health officials, they know what what they are doing and have never given us any reason to not trust them. Except for the AstraZeneca Covishield Covid-19 vaccine fiasco....oops, lets just try and forget about that, cause my brain hurts when I think about it.

Kanata Recreation Complex November 08,2022 at 1:05pm Nurse table #8, covid vaccine The nurse put the cotton balls on the table then wet 1 of them with alcohol, used it to disinfect the patient's skin area before administering the covid vaccine shot. It was disgusting and unprofessional. Once told she said the table was clean and disinfected every day, what if the table was not disinfected as it's supposed to be? the alcohol swab packages were just right there and she didn't use it.

The staff at Ottawa public health, especially Susie were so helpful these past few days organizing post-rabies shots. A follow up shot at the public health community hub at the Rideau high school was quick and easy with the kindest staff. They took their time with each patient and delivered great care. Really appreciate the work they do, they are really organized and are very competent.

Both my young boys have now received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and I am beyond impressed with the professionalism, kindness, care, and child-centred approach from all staff - from reception, to volunteers guiding us, to the RN who expertly handled two young anxious kiddos, to the check out. Everything was a perfect 10! Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

Dropped by to get tdap vaccine. Staff was friendly and provided information on where I could get. However an immunization clinic not offering vaccines is hard to believe.

We went to the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne yesterday for our flu shot. Within 5 minutes, we had completed the paperwork and had been given our shots. The people in the clinic were very nice and our questions were answered with patience and good humour. We were 100% satisfied.

Had a great experience over the phone while trying to access previous health records. Maybe I just got lucky, but the RN was super friendly and helpful.

Facilities are top notch with extra cleaning and doctors and nurses are caring for their patients. I received excellent care when I visited the Heron Rd. centre for COVID test. I highly recommend

They force people to do and wear things they don’t want to do in order to live there lives. I was told Covid vaccines would stop the spread, I’ll never trust this incompetent entity.
