👍👍 A splendid museum by the river Eem, in gorgeous Amersfoort city, Utrecht province. Amazing contemporary art with captivating themes, for young and old. A very modern section of the city at a short walk from the main station, as well as from the amazing, romantic old inner city. People often mention exhibition, museum, small, nice, Beeck,

An absolute must-see: 4 National Collections & Op de Beeck, the exhibition that can be seen until May 5, 2024. The -literally- gray works of art by Hans op de Beeck combined with -colored- art from the 16th to 20th centuries from the CollectieVentrum Nederland -so to speak, the national storage space for art- forms a contrasting whole. Each room has a theme with beautiful reflections by Op de Beeck, with the bizarre highlight being the life-size merry-go-round in the main hall. Kunsthal Kade is a beautiful exhibition space with several small and larger rooms. Nice to wander around for an hour. Nice museum shop too. Not all exhibitions are equally successful, but that is personal, not everything appeals to me. However, this one is -again- fantastic!

The current ehibition wasnt really my cup of tea. Very nice paintings, don't get me wrong but the collection to me was a bit controversial, to say the least.

Was just nearby. I didn't know there was an art museum there. Didn't see any signs either. Therefore I can't give an opinion on it.

We visited the exhibition: Hans op de Beeck "4 Rijkscollecties & Hans op de Beeck". Very impressive! As usual, the exhibition is very well presented and curated. The Kunsthal is easy to reach by car. It's best to park in the Eemplein parking garage right next to the museum (€3/h, tip: if you shop at AH on Eemplein, 1 hour is free). We will definitely come back.

We visited the current exhibition on the subject of bricks. A nice museum in itself. This exhibition was divided into two exhibition locations. Unfortunately, all information is only available in Dutch, so we were actually only able to look at everything. To be honest, the price was too expensive for us. Great building, exhibition relatively small and too expensive.

A small museum in a beautiful small town in Utrecht province called Amersfoort. This museum is situated just outside the old town and just outside if the old town wall/gate. It is small, but usually has nice well laid out exhibitions. We went to the brick exhibition about brick houses and brick architectural design. There is more to a brick than meets the eye. And it also counts for this museum!

Nice space, but rather small for a museum of this type. Current exposition (mirrors/reflections), is well balanced with some interesting work. And inevitably a lot of mediocre ones too.

Lovely but small museum. It is build to exhibitions chambers. Would be done 1-2 hours of course depends on the interesting of the exhibition. When you walk in you go up the stairs there is 4 rooms that you pass afterwards a in between area and from there you walk downstairs and there is a middle room a small area behind and a bigger central open area. There is a small corridor exhibition area it feels like a stairs photo exhibition layout. and when you follow just around the corner there is 2 small room 2 by 4M.

Website said that it was child friendly but it was not even close to that. The exhibition of balance was not what we expected it to be.

It is always wonderful to go to Kunsthal KAdE. There are very varied exhibitions and I am always impressed by the quality. Especially now that the Elleboogkerk is also part of the whole. At least, in some cases 😉 This time there were several works stored in the CollecieCentrum. Many works by famous artists. I'm adding an anthology.

In March '24 exhibition 4 National Collections & Hans Op de Beeck. Beautiful presentation in various rooms. The works from the National Collections hanging and arranged around the Op de Beeck installations were thematic in design. Children's portraits (Het Loo Palace), Seascapes, Travelers, etc. I was missing information about Op de Beeck's materials and working method. Aesthetically pleasing installations, but at some point I had seen it. Since everything is gray, it becomes very monotonous after the umpteenth image. Signage to the Kunsthal was difficult here and there. We eventually ended up in the library next to the hall. From the Kunsthal it is a fifteen-minute walk through the beautiful city center of Amersfoort to Mondriaan's birthplace.
