The mine is interesting but really just a long hole dug into the ground. Great though was our guide. His knowledge of the history of the era as well as the technical aspects of the operations were highly enjoyable.

This was a fantastic experience. You get to visit inside an old gold mine and see what was really like. The guide gave a very good description however, I'm not sure if tours are only in Portuguese. Wear old shoes because you'll get dirty in the mine. Recommended if you like adventures, not recommended if you're claustrophobic.

Excellent place. Guide was a Historian who happens to be married to a Geologist. She clearly made her homework... surprising on geological accuracy, intertwined with historical facts... Result... tour was awesome!

I was guided through the mine by Daniel who was extremely friendly and also spoke English. The history of the mine is well told, and you can also handle some original tools used here

For the price, I was hopping for a better tour.

We received a great personal tour, the mine is really impressive and interesting to see. With a nice shop in front that offers local souvenirs for a good price. With an authentic neighbourhood.

Away to expensive, just to walk into a cave and see a little bit of water at the end of it. It should be 1/8 of the price. They had our tour grup go in and 2 more grups right behind us. Too over crowded for the price.
